Recently stayed 2 nights. I BOOK HOTELS WITH BATHTUBS - and that is harder and harder to find. What I loved: The location on RT 83 is good. The decor is updated. Rooms are modern and the overall decor is very neutral. The lobby and halls are clean and attractive. And, the breakfast buffet for $10 was very good. Not a huge selection but what was there for the price was good. Customer service was also very responsive and good. What was very good: The bedding was Marriott quality. I loved the feather pillows. I slept well. I loved the double chain-pull roll-down shades that went across the wall of windows. I appreciated the wall thermostat that controlled the wall heater. I liked the coat hooks on the wall at the entry-way. What disappointed me: 1) bathtub --- I had a tub but could not take a bath because there was no stopper for the drain. I called and requested one and was told my room had a type that does not have a plug. While that is true, if the hotel cared to do so, they could find rubber stoppers that could fit over the drain. 2) the water pressure in the bathroom for showers, 3) no slip resistent strips on the tub floor and no handles to prevent from falling --- this is a serious issue that the hotel must address. 4) Coffee available in lobby during limited hours. What was bad: 1) The online menu for the restaurant Willbys is very very different from the actual options and very disappointing. I was looking forward to dinner night 2 after reviewing the menu but in the restaurant they had a very small menu. Of 3 salads, only 1 was available. Three entree options and I already had salmon elsewhere for lunch. I didn't trust getting a steak of champagne chicken. I got a burger and I never eat burgers but with that said it was very good. My side salad was tiny and just ok. Would I return? Probably not. read more

Per the rep I spoke to last night at 10 PM, I called back today 5/14 at 10:59 AM CST. I spoke with another associate, and she told me again that her manager was not available. She took my information and said that manager would get back to me. As of 2:56 PM CST I still have not heard back from this manager . So now I'm going to contact corporate. I do not recommend this location I also saw someone else say that they had an issue with billing and it took them for phone calls it should never take that long to get somebody their money back when it's justified. Update: just happened a few moments ago can guarantee that I will not be returning. At 10p, 5/13 I received a charge on my card for this reservation that I didn't even stay. I left and went to another hotel, a Sheraton. When I went to Delta on Friday evening, their credit card system was down and I had to write my credit card number on a form. When I explained to the man at guest services that I could not stay there he said that my reservation was canceled & apologized for the unsatisfactory conditions. I noticed in the app when I was one day away from checkout at the Sheraton, my visit still showed up in the app. I messaged them in the app to tell them that the reservation was still showing up, they canceled it on their end and said that the reservation was canceled. At 10 PM, on Wednesday May 13, I received a charge for the visit I did not stay. I called this location and the representative that I spoke to said he couldn't help and I had to call back in the morning to speak with the manager. Apparently his manager that was there could not help. I'm not happy about this at all and this is not what I expect from Marriott. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. Internet intermittently down, pantry empty, NONE of fitness equipment worked. Checked out a day early which w/ my level is doable. On my 4th phone call to try and correct them billing me for initial reservation. I spoke to TWO people before checking out a day early at 7:45AM. 2 out of 5 stars Willowbrook Delta Hotel by Marriott - 4-night stay I recently stayed at the Willowbrook Delta Hotel by Marriott for four nights. While the staff was friendly and professional, my experience left a lot to be desired--especially for a Marriott-branded property. Minor concerns first: * The outdoor swimming pool was completely non-functional and clearly neglected. It sat right outside my window and was such an eyesore that I kept my blinds closed the entire stay. * Only one elevator was working. While the hotel is only three stories, it became a hassle during busier times of day. Now for the bigger issues: * My room had noticeable carpet stains that made it feel unclean despite the fairly new furniture and nice TV. * Housekeeping was very disappointing. Even after specifically asking, they didn't clean the bathroom, never changed the bed linens, and I had to personally go find them to get fresh towels. * The biggest issue: my room had ants. I called the front desk and was told there was no way to treat it and no option to switch rooms because the hotel was sold out. I requested to speak with a manager and was told managers don't work on weekends. I tried to handle the ants myself, but the problem got worse, and I even ended up with some bites. While the rooms have potential and the staff is courteous, the housekeeping and pest control are seriously lacking. Until those issues are addressed, I can't recommend this hotel. read more

This location is not to Marriot standards. Service is biggest issue. On my reservation (booked two weeks in advance) I requested foam pillow due to allergy. After I arrived at room and found only feather pillows. I went to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. Finally got front desk on phone using my personal phone after calling 3 times and letting ring. Front desk said that they didn't have anyone from housekeeping on the property so could not replace the pillows. read more

This is only the second Delta hotel I've stayed at but was disappointed. On a positive note the front desk staff at check was very friendly. While I hate (but can appreciate) the bulk shampoo/conditioner/shower gels nowadays, when you get in the shower and they are empty it's very frustrating. No conditioner for me here. The amount of hair in the shower is what really gave this two stars... long hairs... clearly hadn't been cleaned. The clock was half working and went off at 6 am. Lastly, there was air/light coming through the wall above the AC. Also... no breakfast on Monday. Not sure if this is every Monday or just when we stayed, luckily there is a Dennys next door. read more

It's weird because on other sites this place is praised for being clean but it definitely is NOT! I walked into soap scum in the bathtub, hair on the sink, a stain on the mattress, a stain on the floor (etc). This place is kind of neglected and has definite wear and tear. I think this is the Marriott hotel that was neglected in case of cleanliness and amenities. Tub was slippery due to the soap that was dried up from last use, taking note that the room that they gave me was for disabled. So what if, I am really disabled and got slip? I stayed there for 5 nights, RA came in 1 day to change the towels but did not replace the cups, coffee and soap. Did not even took out the trash. No microwave and the microwave in the lobby hasn't been cleaned in like a month. Gross. I don't know It could have been negative star but 1 star for the front desk. I should've read the comments. I was just confident that since it was owned by Marriott it would be the same quality and service, but its not. And oh, its not soundproof. You can hear all the people going in and out of the lobby and upper floors. read more

This Delta by Marriott is billed as a premium property but is anything but; at best, its below their Fairfield product line. In July, the pool was closed. Half the room numbers were missing from the doors & their towels were literally Home Depot rags. Gross, stay anywhere else. Staff claimed to have no authority to resolve any issue. Emails sent via corporate website went unacknowledged. Very disappointing for Marriott; brand has fallen so far. read more

Nice hotel. Have stayed overnight there several times. Price is reasonable, place is clean, staff is friendly, beds are very comfortable. Was able to check in 90 minutes early on a couple of occasions because we needed a room earlier than 3 PM. And that wasn't an issue. Very surprised the last time I was there on a Sunday that the restaurant/bar inside the hotel was closed on Sundays because it seemed like there would be a big crowd that would want to sit in the restaurant/bar and watch football. read more

When you enter, the lobby is nice and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. That is about the extent of the positives for this hotel. Right away, the cars in the parking lot with flat tires should have been a red flag before even checking in. Our room had hair in the bathroom, food and candy on the ground and most of the furniture was ripped. It really appeared that our room was not cleaned before being assigned to us. The shower curtain was about 6 inches shorter than the top of the tub, so when you showered, you'd end up with standing water in the bathroom. Finally, the hotel felt generally unsafe. Several times the side doors were propped open by rocks to prevent them from locking. One night I went to get something from my car, and there were a few guys down the hallway that were carrying ski masks. Immediately went back into my room and decided not to risk going to the parking lot. read more

I would pass on this property! There are so many things wrong with it; from cleaning to safety issues to things just plain falling apart. This is a very old location, formerly a Holiday Inn, then an independent and now Marriott Delta. The rooms are good sized but the bathrooms are very small. The first room I was assigned had a dirty bathroom, and the second room looked like it had not been vacuumed. I noticed the fire extinguisher in the lounge was expired, so I looked at one of the hall ones, and it had the same expired inspiration date. The first room had a tub, and the 2nd had a shower. When in the shower you can feel the flooring flexing. The lighting in the 1st bathroom was good, but the 2nd had very little light. Many of the rooms had their numbers falling off the wall. The hallways had a lot of deodorizer sprayed in them. The windows and walls are thin; with the Willowbrook police department next to the hotel, you will hear sirens at all times. For those that have lounge access, this location only had some cild drinks available. The coffee maker was broken, and nothing was put out for breakfast. read more

This hotel was horrible. I was there for 4 nights. My room had a keurig with decaf kcups. I asked reception for regular coffee they said they ran out. Ice machines are broken on each floor. Carpet was filthy for the four days I was there. Crumbs in the hallways that were never vacuumed. There are 3 floors and a lot of rooms for only 1 washer and 1 dryer. The market inside the lobby was not great they had no water bottles. The bathroom doors would not close. No coffee in the lobby and only I empty jug of water leaking all over the place. I asked for an extra blanket and they didn't have any. The sink and the shower would over flow. Worst experience ever in a hotel that's contracted by Marriott. Everything was just I'm so sorry. Be very careful with slipping in the tub. Also there were really weird people around. There was this guy sitting on the floor talking on the phone in front of my room barefooted and walking all over the place. This is the hotel of horror. read more

we planed or stay at the marroit for our high school reunion, and the hotel staff went way out to make our stay the best, the room was outstanding and the beds were so comfortable, we got a great nights sleep, a very clean place to stay and then there was the breakfast buffet, the food was fresh and very tasty , i will recomend this to all i know and will be my first choice to stay on my next trip,, thank you for making my weekend a wonderful one....... raymond read more

I've stayed at the Willowbrook Inn before Marriott came in and "renovated" it so I am familiar with how the hotel was prior to my stay. I was hopeful that the renovations actually renovated it into a adequate hotel. This is basically a Red Roof Inn or a Motel 6 with Marriott Bonvoy branding. I do not recommend this property. Not then, not now, and not in the future. Renovations were very poorly done. Paint was peeling in my bathroom. The sink drain was slow. The peel and stick flooring in the bathroom had water coming up between the seams. The walls are so thin, I was able to hear the couple using the room next to me for their 1 hour long stay. On the opposite wall, there was a bird nest or some sort of animal running back and forth in the wall. The emergency exit's are scarier then the potential emergency itself. My co-worker (in his own room) woke up in the middle of the night with mosquito bites all over him. There was a gap in the window that you could not shut. The bugs came in attracted to the TV. I could review the staff, but the room was so poor I wouldn't recommend staying hence, not interacting with the staff. read more

The Holiday in has been renovated and is owned by Marriott. The hotel is clean and new. The front desk help is great, and they gave me the best rate they could. I will be trying the restaurant once things stabilize. I remember going to Willoughby's for brunch as a kid. I hope this hotel does well. read more

Place is a scan. We had a reservation for a group over the weekend, was 189 after taxes. a few days later, we have a 229 and then a 259 charge on our card, they said it's a banquet fee which we cid not rend the banquet place. The 229 dropped but the 259 proceeded and was not what the invoice said Happemed to many peoppe there that night as well. Do not deal with this place you will regret it. Having credit card comapny deal with the bait and switch now. read more

We had the pleasure of staying at the Delta by Marriott over the weekend with a large wedding party. The hotel was clean and what you'd expect from a hotel. As soon as you walk in the front door you can tell the hotel is new with the modern look. Unfortunately, that is as far as I got. I was denied my room because of some age restriction that is not posted anywhere on their website. The lady working the front desk was very nice through the situation. The problem I have is when I contacted hotel management to merely discuss the situation, they were not accommodating and eventually threatened me before hanging up the phone. Keep in mind I am a Gold Elite member for Marriott and I got threatened to be reported to Marriott and then the General Manager abruptly ended the conversation and hung up. NOT HELPFUL! For a hotel that just opened up, the hotel itself is beautiful, but they need to work on the personnel working there. read more

BEWARE! The front desk drained my account!!! I checked into this hotel and the company's cash register system was faulty. They attempted to run my credit cards and they kept declining. Finally, they ran my debit card at the front desk and they kept getting decline errors. Finally, they swiped the card and it went through. The next morning I awakened to several emails and text messages telling me that my account was in the negative. So now, I am out of town without any cash and accumulating bounced transactions on my bank account. The weekend staff is inept and told me that they're unable to reach their GM. They've offered to comp me one night's stay at the hotel. Marriott has taken something from Me that I can never get back. THIS PLACE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS. read more

Nice place. Thelma at the front desk is wonderful. I'll be here for 3 weeks. I usually stay elsewhere but when I saw this, I thought it was worth a go. Nice rooms, newly renovated. As a Marriott Titanium, I would highly recommend. read more
