Very disappointed in the service. Yes I have an old antique wood stove. Yes I have it professionally cleaned and inspected every year. Yes my insurance company knows about it, and I submit my receipts to them. This year we decided to try Spring Hill instead of our usual company. Huge mistake. The technician spent the better part of my appointment telling me how shocked he is that my home has insurance because my wood stove is from the 1800s. He kept recommending I "update" it, and when I asked what that even meant he said replace it of course. He actually had the nerve to ask me how to clean it. Seriously? He vacuumed it. Checked out the chimney and this cost nearly $200. He also told me that "much bigger, nicer homes than mine have had to upgrade their stoves, and that I'm lucky." My stove has been in my home since 1972, and it works perfectly. Complete and total waste of time. I will absolutely be going back to my previous company. I was so upset after he left I called and asked for a supervisor. I was told someone would call me back the next day. To add insult to injury, no supervisor ever even bothered to call. How completely unprofessional! If I can save one person from dealing with this company I will be happy. read more

They were overpriced for the job they did fixing the snow guard on our roof. Our wood stove was pretty clean so that didn't need to be done. Having all those fancy work trucks & advertising everywhere should have been the first clue to being an expensive company. As senior citizens we werent even aware or offered the discount we later saw advertised. Our advice: shop around, get other quotes & check online reviews. read more

I contracted Springhill to evaluate issues in my fireplace and chimney due to corrosion of the damper and firebox, and deteriorating on some masonry. They came out and recommended removing the damper, installing an insert and re doing the crown and adding a new cap. Everyone was great from the people on the phone, and the technicians. They were very professional, took extra care covering the floor and other areas from dirt. The installation work was excellent and they cleaned up everything. On 1.24.2024 Nick from Spring Hill Chimney show up instead of James who worked on my chimney a year ago. Nick was unprofessional, rude, dishonest and insulting. He wanted to sell big job costs a few thousand dollars instead of routine maintenance cleaning the chimney. When I like to evaluate and think it over, he was aggressive, pushy and insulting throughout his conversation. An estimate was given when I asked him if any discounts, he responded "I can give discount but I won't give it" This is how he talk to customer. Uncalled for! read more

We had this company put a liner in our chimney and a cap on top. Within a few years the cap around the top was all cracked which was falling off which made us spend even more for repair. read more

Very disappointing experience. Rescheduled 2x on days we had taken off to be home for the cleaning. Thinking 3rd time was the charm, wrong again, another cancellation. If I could give a negative rating I would! I just purchased my home and am looking to have the chimney inspected and cleaned before using it. They were first supposed to come in early November. They rescheduled. They subsequently rescheduled twice in December and were supposed to be here today at 11am. It's now after 5 and the office is closed. They NEVER SHOWED UP AND NEVER CALLED!! You should take your business elsewhere. They obviously don't need or want it! read more

First issue. They never showed for the estimate, had to call them to reschedule, not good. Second, Immediately recommended a liner(2K) without any inspection. Third, Even after being informed that a power vent could be used and the chimney could be cosmetic (EASIER TO FIX THAN RIP OUT) continued to prattle on about not being able to do the job without a liner. Fourth, I was promised a call back, never happened. I found a local who is parging the outside of the chimney, sliding a partial liner a couple of feet down and adding a stainless cap for under 1k. THIEVING WEASELS. If they can't hose you a couple thousand they don't want to be bothered. read more

This company was recommended to me, and I had them show up to service/clean the chimney for my wood burning fireplace. The guy who showed up told me I needed a new liner and we would pay more if he came back another time, because he would be making two trips. Long story short, I allowed his pressure tactic to work and feel like I overplayed. He didn't even secure the cap at the top of the chimney, and I wasn't thrilled with the job. Around six months later, they called me back and said they had to check the job to make sure it was up to code. The person coming to do the inspection stood me up on the first visit, and I had to call the company to reschedule. When he showed up, he told me that technicians would have to come back to change out a pipe, because it was not code, and would eventually rust. I was then stood up two times by the technicians, and on their third visit, they showed up almost an hour after the scheduled time; and I was their first appointment of the day. When I called, everyone was polite and apologetic, but it would be a lot better to just handle things correctly the first time and skip the apologies. I called after the technicians left, so I could talk with the owner, but I was told he was out of town for 2 weeks. I'll follow up if he does call me back, but I feel they really dropped the ball in keeping appointments. Also, if an employee can't make it or is running late, I feel like they can call. Everyone has cell phones today. I do think the work may have been done well, but I'd recommend shopping around. read more

This was the most unprofessional company I have delt with. The estimator NEVER even looked at my chimney & said we had no liner. After going in the basement & telling him to us his phone light, TA DA a liner! They gave us a price, then was only doing part of the job & I fought to get the price lowered & they pulled their service men off the job. Also, they give "cash prices"!! Be careful!!! read more

Great company. They take the time to clearly explain things. From what I can tell they do great work. Don't always put too much stock in "bad" reviews. People tend to speak very loudly when they are unhappy. I think we need more people speaking up when they are HAPPY. read more
