This is about outstanding customer service, and specifically the efforts of RJ at Spring Branch Medical Supply (SBMS). We purchased a Nitro combo walker/wheelchair from SBMS this past summer. We debated just buying it online, since it was a little bit cheaper, however, we bought at SBMS because they said they offer support if there is an issue. After using the Nitro on our first trip, a bolt came off that was important for the wheelchair. SBMS contacted the manufacturer, who said it would take a couple of months to get a replacement bolt. When SBMS called to check after the couple of months, the manufacturer said it would be another couple months to wait. The reason i'm so pleased is RJ would not accept this and he stayed on the manufacturer and was able to get them to send a completely new unit. But then he went one better. Instead of me waiting for the new unit to come in, since SBMS keeps a good amount of inventory on hand, RJ swapped out one of their new units for my broken one, and then he would wait for the replacement unit from the manufacturer. While disappointed with the broken unit, RJ and SBMS went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of in the best way possible. My hat is off to RJ -- OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Well over a year ago, my family needed to rent a lift chair Christmas week and we were in a time crunch to get it delivered before heading down to Galveston to retrieve our patient from the hospital. I was coming in to Houston for a conference and because I was experiencing a very difficult and painful bout of sciatica, I needed a couple of medical devices brought to my hotel room for use while I was there. These are devices which cannot be rented, so I needed to find a supply house that would sell me relatively inexpensive versions of what I needed and deliver them to one of the huge hotels in downtown Houston. I called every medical supply store in the Houston area and finally settled on Spring Branch because they not only had what I needed, they were very kind and helpful. over the phone. When I got to Houston, the hotel couldn't find the devices that had been delivered by courier three days earlier. I finally called Spring Branch and they immediately got on the phone with the hotel and helped them identify when and where it had been delivered. They finally tracked them down and they were brought to my room. Without the help of the Spring Branch personnel, I would have been missing those devices just when I needed them the most. Nowadays, I try to only use local, family-owned/operated businesses. They aren't going anywhere, and if there's a problem, you can go right to the source. The doctor vaguely suggested a knee brace, so off I went to search. RJ has very helpful, showed me various braces, how they worked, what might be best for my issues. He seems very knowledgeable about this business, having grown up working in the store. He wasn't pushy and told me to take all the time in the world. He, also, pointed out several other products that might be useful, but never pushed anything. Conveniently located in Spring Branch near where the hospital used to be (before it was torn down), it has private lot parking out front. They're open 6 days a week. They can order special items for you, too. I feel you may be able to negotiate somewhat with them, but that's just my feeling. read more

I went to Spring Branch medical supply in order to find a knee scooter since I had just had surgery on my foot. Upon walking in we were met by a woman who wanted to know what she could do for us. I asked if she had knee scooter and she pointed to the 2 she had and said $499 and $599. The tone of her voice and lack of willingness to actually show us the models came across as rude and like we couldn't afford them. I had done hours of research online and found that Amazon had the same models cheaper, to which I made that comment and she told me to get it on amazon then. She was very rude and told the guy who was working with her that I wanted to get it from Amazon (in which she said with a mimicking voice). I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again due to her horrible customer service!!!! read more

I went to the Spring Branch Medical Supply store to get scrubs for work. Their supply of scrubs was plentiful. Ms. Meli Saucedo, one of the sales clerks, was extremely helpful and knew exactly where all the men's scrubs were located. She was so helpful that I also bought some other items for work. If you do not live near the medical center, this store is the best for all types of medical supplies. And, there is free parking because it is in a strip mall.
