We looked at several childcare services throughout the valley and this one stood out. What we loved most was that this location truly is a community, or village so to speak. It really feels like a family and the staff just adore my daughter. While I'm away from her, I know that she is being cared for just as I would do myself and it is such a blessing and brings so much peace of mind knowing she is with this staff while I'm away. As a first time mom, it was so scary but Tonya and her team really took special time to make me feel at ease being away from her. She is always making crafts and they keep in touch while I'm at work. Thanks so much!

You are able to not pay tuition for the time period you are gone. We loved Miss Shannon in the 3s room! She left on maternity leave and that's when things went downhill fast. The kids play musical rooms trying to keep their ratios in check. In theory there was supposed to be an older 3's and younger 3's room but it seemed that staffing was an issue and prevented this set up on most days. While this may not seem like an issue it becomes an issue when your child has food allergies, are potty training, or really just want to know how their whole day went. Messages were not given to new teachers as the child traveled to their room. I had to keep my child home for several days to solidify potty training because they couldn't do it. Claimed he cried because he didn't want to stop and use the bathroom and they felt bad. So many times I was told I wasn't sure how his day went because he was with a different teacher. I was told he was eating great even asking for seconds. Then an assistant claimed he really didn't eat much. I don't know which was true. I just know he was coming home starving. If your child has any other allergies than nuts (they are a nut free facility) I don't recommend this location. Many of the employees need nutrition training i.e. knowing what is dairy and what isn't was a difficult concept. From personal experience a doctors note on file is not enough to keep my child from being given dairy on multiple occasions. We lost trust with the staff because of this and pulled our child. They would not allow a doctors note to let me supplement his meals to ensure he was kept dairy free. They would rather a doctors note on file to administer Benedryl. I can't trust them to not give him dairy but I'm supposed to trust them to administer medication? While our child isn't anaphylaxis to dairy, the reaction does build and eventually his gut shuts down. This had been explained multiple times and they still neglected to care. It's just cruel!

I finished high-school early and I spent half of my junior year and all of my senior year here but one hour of class in the morning where I assisted in our high school's main office. Back then I didn't feel they had the best support getting new students set up for their career paths. Especially for the unique educational requirements Arizona had and still may have for social work and psychology. They have come a long way. I was an honor student here and my favorite class was sociology. For a special project on a paper my teacher Thomas Powell who used to work in the criminal justice system and who has since passed, met me in Scottsdale with a couple other LGBTQ students in our class. He took me on his Harley Davidson and we all met at a gay bar his close friend owned. Don't worry our professor was was very appropriate and was old enough to my my father! He had 2 daughter's older than me he cared about dearly. We had so much fun, I drank Shirley Temples and they drank soda. I learned so much and we met some really awesome people. We passed out surveys people filled out and we learned finding jobs was challenge. We did a class project together working with local businesses and corporations in the valley advertising and communicating with the LGBTQ community jobs that were available to everyone! We advertised at job fairs all that year. That project is why I and my two classmates made it on the honors program. The bar owner is now 77 and was a huge part of the start of and opening the door for the Melrose District. We still keep in touch even to this day. So many good teachers, students and good times here. I am glad to see more eaterys in the area and Starbucks. This area is really growing.

Receptionist is so kind, helping and I feel comfortable with telling Lilly everything ! Everything my son knows he got from daycare ! He is now almost 2 years old and knows how to do some sign language ! Very awesome:) he can count to 5. I have never had any issues since he's been here, besides when you bring in diapers, wipes, blankets, bottles..ECT. Make sure you put your child's name on it! I feel like they do need to have a meeting before shift change so they know what's going on with the kids through out the day so that next staff member knows if your child took a nap, if they ate .. Or whatever else. That is the only thing I would say that irritates me. Other than that... The staff is awesome! The childcare DOES NOT smell like the other posts has said, and to the reply to the lady that said they let the staff member know you're coming to pick up the child is to let the staff member get your child's belongings, have your child changed so you don't wait long! They have cameras for a reason! You can request to review them at any time!! The other day, I walked in to sneak on my son to see what he was doing and he and 5 other kids were dancing and singing with the staff that was singing children songs.. Seriously the cutest thing ever!!! Also, I had told Lilly (receptionist) I was starting to potty train my son and she had said they actually help with that whenever my son and I are ready to do so! Which again, is helpful for me so I can do that on my days off work as well! My son looks at the staff members like family! He adores everyone here.. His big smile when he sees some of the staff he knows This childcare is absolutely the best and I wouldn't want my son any where else!

The staff is amazing and really care about the kids, they take them outside (under like 95) to play on the playground in the back. They give them breakfast, snacks, and lunch all you need to bring is diapers, wipes, a sheet and blanket for nap time, and an extra set of clothes. As at any daycare kids get sick but they have great policies to help control them if someone starts spreading anything. If you kid ahead a fever when it starts to go above normal they let you know so if they do need to be sent home you have time to plan incase that happens. All around great communication! They have parties for all the holidays and just a fun environment for kids. I highly recommend you looking at them if you're looking at having kids in daycare and I can't say enough good things about them!

I would personally say that if you put in the work, then what you get out of this school is worth it. We get ample scanning time in the lab which I personally believe is the most important part of this entire program. You can be extremely book smart, and not be good at scanning. It takes practice, practice, practice. I work in a hospital setting as a CNA and most of our Sonographers went to west coast ultrasound institute, and they are amazing sonographers with registries. Our school has changed quite a bit since some of these reviews. It is actually frustrating to me reading some of these. Our program now offers and AAS degree, with 6 months of extern instead of 3 which is a huge change for the better. We are now able to sit for the ARRT sonography exam right when we graduate, which allows us to then sit for ARDMS or for CCI. There is no more working full time for a year before sitting for the registries. That was the main issue with this school just a year ago. We offer great extern sites, but our extern coordinator is picky about site placement. If you are lazy, get bad grades, are absent or tardy often, you probably will not get placed in a site that is expecting a good student that is ready and willing to learn. You are still going to get a site, but it may not be the site you want. Unfortunately this is a for profit school, not run by the government and with that there will be hiccups and things are not perfect. Which is why I did not give a full 5 stars. However overall, if you are a good student, study the material, read the books, and scan as much as possible this program is worth not waiting 10 years to get a spot in gateway. Bottom line I would absolutely recommend this school, if you are willing to work hard, study harder, and put in your absolute best. If you are looking for an easy ride to make good money then I wouldn't recommend a career in sonography. This is a tough career path not for the lazy or weak minded.
