Our family has lived in San Diego for over 50 years and I have made many trips with relatives or visitors up to the quaint mountain town of Julian and had always loved it. This spring some relatives came to town and we decided to take a trip to Julian. It was such a beautiful ride, leaving the hustle and bustle of a growing San Diego and driving up through the mountains for little over an hour with only two stop lights in San Diego and one stop sign in Julian sealed the deal for me. While we were walking through town I decided to stop in at the Julian Realty office. Tiffaney Bagalini, realtor and owner of Julian Realty was the only one in the office at that time. We chatted and I told her I might be interested in looking at some Julian property. She gave me some available listing information and her card and I left. My first impression was that she didn't try to push me into anything, just a friendly "here's some information, give me a call if you have any questions". I was impressed!! And I did call her several weeks later. It was a spur of the minute call to see some property I had seen on Zillow. Tiffany was showing some property in the desert so her colleague, Nicole McMillan met us and showed us the property that was available. Nicole was terrific, she also was not pushy. Let us wander around, was very familiar with all four of the properties and answered all our questions. I walked in to one of the properties and immediately knew that this was the one that I wanted. And so, my team, Tiffaney and Nicole started working on a complicated 1031 exchange for the property in Julian. This of course entailed working with my realtors in Idaho, bankers, exchange accomadators, escrow companies in different states, home insurers, the seller of the property in Julian and a very specific time frame. And they did it! I am so impressed on how efficiently they pulled all those entities together, gathered all the information, arranged all the inspections, and helped get quotes for all the repairs that were needed before the deal could close. After that, I went to another broker and got pre-approved almost immediately. I qualified for the home without any problems. All I can say is that they were not very professional. In my opinion, Simon seemed focused only on money. I felt that he was trying to earn commissions from both sides. When I decided not to use his broker, my offer was not accepted, and I was told that another offer had been accepted instead. The Clark street property has a generational old cockroach infestation issue that they have been dealing with long before I moved in. when I moved in (August 2020) within the first six hours I had noticed and have picture of roach droppings along the windowsills in (September 2022) the tenants next-door to me in unit six I've been living there for over five years and had gotten a pest treatment done prior to getting their treatment done. Their pest control. Technician had informed them that if a treatment was to be done on six, it should be done on all the surrounding units, including mine, and prior to doing business with Payne pest control during the bid for Clark street property they were informed of what would need to be done to get rid of this pest infestation which meant getting the property tented mind you this was before I had moved in I was old told that Bryan and Samantha had just gone with the cheapest option which they also knew would not take care of this issue. A couple months into moving in I had informed them of the pest issue and needing treatment in which they responded by sending an inspection out rather than a treatment which only allowed the infestation to move and grow worse in my unit. By the time any treatment had been done all of my property, my kitchen appliances. Everything was infested, no matter how much we cleaned how much we threw out they constantly kept coming through the same places that the water would come through for the flooding pictures emails of it all during confronting them on their negligence they choose to divert from laws and ordinance codes that I present to them that they're violating in which I've had to move units because of this issue and the infestation has spread to my appliances I was no longer able to move anything from my old unit (5) into my new unit (4) I had to buy completely new furniture and knew everything but the same old infested appliances from number (5) had to come with me I am not the only tenant who I have witnesses and current tenants that are willing to testify against this as well as it being an issue long-standing before I had even moved in, not only have I had to personally take losses from their negligence, but Bryan has also been calling other tenants making them uncomfortable with personal questions about me and he is also insinuated nefarious things about me to other tenants he has also told new tenants moving in he has told them that I am the cause to their generational old roach infestation problem. if there was an option for zero stars, I would select that Bryan and Sam and the entire company are a bunch of slumlords looking to steal your money. First of all, the 2 stars are for Love Living successfully finding new tenants, getting the house…read moreready for move in, and getting the tenants moved in to the house. The positive experience ended there. The first red flag of unprofessionalism came in the form of me referring a new client to Love Living, who ended up signing a contract with them and then them completely failing to even acknowledge that I brought them new business, let alone thanking me for it in any way. The second red flag came in the form of an egregious accounting error where they overcharged me by $450. I had to call and explain their error to them. They refunded my money but did not apologize for the error. The third and final red flag came in the form of an outright violation of one of the important terms of our agreement: ensuring that the new tenants put all utilities in their name upon possession of the property. This caused me a lot of headaches and I realized that I was paying them a lot of money to create more headaches for me than anything else. I checked our contract and realized that I can legally terminate our agreement without notice upon any breach of contract from either party. So, I sent them an email notifying them that I am terminating our contract due to their violation of the terms. Their response was that they were also thinking that it was not a good fit. Again, zero acknowledgment of any wrongdoing, more like gaslighting me into thinking that I had also done something wrong. At this point, I asked them to refund me their 9% fee from the date that they originally violated the terms of our agreement (10/15), but instead they tried to make it seem like I've been a bad client and I don't deserve a refund. Honestly, I have been appalled at the lack of professionalism on so many levels. To treat a client this way, not only one that pays you, but one that brings you new business without expecting anything in return, is unimaginable. Updating review to one star because instead of apologizing for the awful treatment of a client that went out of their way to bring them new business, they just keep gaslighting me and making excuses, but please note that they are not able to deny any part of my review. Everything in this review is 100% accurate.
