Basically we had to get a survey done on our property because we were building a new home and didn't want to build into the property lines. So the city ordered us to get a property survey done. Matt provided us with a good price and went on to explain the process of what he was going to do and gave us timelines on when it can be done. Very professional and he has a great personality. Let me be clear, I was completely out of my element when I purchased a lot of land for my family…read moreand since the previous owners did not know where the property markers were at the street front, my realtor suggested that I call Patrick engineering and a few others, but after getting prices, I just believed that was unacceptable to find markers that was supposedly in the ground.   So with the advice of a supervisor at the County's office he suggested I call Electro Optical and get the Schonstedt Magnetic Locator and rent it from them and try to find the markers myself. For the rental price, versus  $3-4,000 for a surveyor, I figured it's worth the risk. I literally called several places after I called Electro Optical and spoke to Gerardo. But I had to return because of how professional he was and easy-going was the conversation to rent the equipment and explanations from this place.   Man, I was not expecting to find this marker with this equipment in 10 minutes.  I must say that just the customer service and peace of mind that I got when I left with the equipment from that store meant everything , especially feeling out of my element and I was so relieved I didn't have to fork out thousands of dollars for some hired help or hired surveyor to come out and say, yep there it is. And am thrilled I found a store near my house and work that has all the equipment I'd ever need. Grade lasers, hand levels, engineers scale (folder ruler), safety equipment, machetes, axes, hammers, tape measures, road signs and paint. Fred is the owner he greeted me warmly and was shocked that I couldn't find him on yelp or google maps. Fred does service repairs on most tools you use, he said that's what most of his business is.
