Brandon was so incredibly kind, understanding and willing to work with and accommodate our needs. He, on his own time, went to our venue 2 times ahead of the wedding to scout it and estimate needs. He was honest and didn't try to swindle us. He pointed out that he wanted to enhance the beauty of our historic venue and that would require very little additional lighting but done in the right way. He was definitely affordable and absolutely worth the cost. Originally, we were going to go without the lighting detail thinking that it was a splurge we simply couldn't afford. Brandon is SO talented and really- believe me, the lighting helped create a mood and set a beautiful, elegant tone. His work was so tasteful and simply perfect. I am so grateful for his creative input and eye on our big day. I highly recommend Brandon and his company, Peterson Event Lighting for any and all events!!

I'm allergic to every part of weddings except for the free booze. The thought of spending more on a…read moredress than I spend on rent gives my hives, as do expensive cakes with gross crisco-y frosting, the cake cutting fees that accompany them, bad-tasting "signature cocktails," the thought of making all my single friends shuffle their feet awkwardly during a bouquet toss, and DJs who play that song where grown-ass people must make their hands into quacking ducks. So after an elopment attempt was foiled (long story) and the mister and I decided to have a wedding, we decided we'd do it our way. We got married in the front yard of our friend's house and had the reception in the backyard. Now, as it turns out, planning an at-home wedding is annoying, yes, and planning a non-traditional at home wedding is exponentially annoying. This is where Sharlene Griffith came in. She was amazing with vendors; we got deals that would make the folks at bridal expos weep. She turned my friend's backyard into the most magical wedding venue I've ever been to, practically did all the floral stuff herself, never winced when I selected the cheapest option for everything, and she even put up with my crazy reinvent-the-wedding-wheel ideas and even threw in some of her own. And the food (tacos! ceviche! spanish wines! etc! best cupcakes ever! for 1/10 the price of one of those stuffy ballroom food places) was amazing. My guests still talk about it. My husband and I were dancing at our wedding and saying to each other "wow, this really is the best day I've ever had" which was a surprise to two cynics like us. Many people told me it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. And they were right. Thanks Sharlene!

TOP 10 PROBLEMS 1) During the post-ceremony photo session and before we could greet our guests on the lawn for cocktail hour, SGD told us guests moved into the dining room because it was hot and they had no where to sit. However, our guests told me they enjoyed the lawn but were told to go inside by SGD. This was also against our wedding schedule. 2) Communication with SGD and their coordination with vendors was inefficient and led to more work for us. 3) Nearly every major vendor I was referred by SGD was replaced within 10 days of the wedding. 4) After five months and several requests for a formal agreement to finalize the cost for SGD as our wedding coordinators, I was handed a contract for double the agreed upon amount. SGD later said this was an error from a repurposed contract. (See No. 2.) 5) SGD created an arbitrary "cleaning fee" when no such fee existed in our contract. 6) SGD got a phone call the morning after our wedding to remind us to return our unused alcohol by 12 noon for reimbursement. SGD neglected to share that intel until 4PM. 7) SGD quoted us a discounted rate for our security guard, to court us as clients for the venue. Two weeks after the ceremony, SGD and The Paramour sent us an invoice at a higher rate for hours that were't worked by the security guard. 8) Though our reception ended at the agreed upon hour, SGD charged us a penalty for being on property overtime. SGD masked that penalty with the security invoice. There was no mention of a penalty in our contract. 9) At 11 PM without notice, the overhead lights on the dance-floor came on hard prom night style. 10) Without our permission, The Paramour hired to a private photographer to document our costly ceremony rentals to feature the venue. SGD explained the night before the wedding that she would be reconfiguring my ceremony design for this photo session, and that I should be happy about this publicity. If this review helps one person avoid the experience I had, then I have been a responsible consumer. Now, back to wedded bliss.

Words alone cannot describe how thankful we are for Ellaine & her team at Premier Soirees!…read more After deciding 7 months ago that we were going to get married and have a fall wedding, we found a venue for a ceremony and reception and knew exactly what we wanted. But one thing we didn't plan to have was a wedding planner. When we were notified by the venue that a wedding planner is required for the day-of-wedding, we were given a few numbers of planners in the local area to call for interviews. We had talked to several prior to meeting Ellaine, none which felt like a right fit for us. So, we decided to do our own research as we were not in any luck from the list that was given to us. We came across a wedding website & blog and fell instantly in love with the story of the bride and groom and the beautiful details of their wedding. We had to find out more about their wedding planner. Coincidentally, Premier Soirees was going to be a vendor at a bridal show the following week. We freed up our schedule just so we can finally meet the lovely crew that was behind the making of a beautiful couple's story. We drove to the bridal show to introduce ourselves, even if it was for a brief minute. In the end, we walked out feeling confident that we may have found our match. We held off on researching and put together all our questions. We made our first phone call to Premier Soirees, left a voicemail and received a call back within that same hour by the owner Ellaine. Ellaine was very calm, organized and professional from the start. She answered all our questions and more. We met shortly after for a face-to-face consult. We knew right away this was the lady to plan our big day for us. We were struck by Ellaine's warmth, honesty and professionalism and how she cared more about us as a bride and groom. We hired Premier Soirees and It was the best decision we made! We are truly appreciative of Ellaine and everything she has done. Ellaine went beyond her duties in everything we asked her help with. She recommended all the best people and helped ease our wedding stresses. Ellaine scheduled and attended all vendor appointments with us. Ellaine was always available and responded to our emails whenever we had a question or suggestion and always help make recommendations for our wedding. Ellaine coordinated and effectively handled all follow-ups, details that we had either missed or not known about. On the day of our church rehearsal Ellaine came to meet our entourage and accommodated even the last-minute changes. We handed off 170 favors, programs, menu cards, escort cards and frames with pictures we wanted to use for our reception and Ellaine knew exactly what to make of them. We are so grateful for the help and work she saved us from doing ourselves!  Ellaine even allowed us to use some of her personal decor, complimenting to our theme. She pulled everything together and turned our dream into reality!! No deed was too big for Ellaine to handle. Ellaine created a detailed day-of-the wedding timeline and everything ran 100% smooth and on time. Our wedding was a complete success! Most people have told us it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to.  We are glad that everyone had such a great time - and we know it wouldn't have run as smoothly if we didn't hire Premier Soirees. As a bride and groom, we truly enjoyed our special day with friends and family. We owe Ellaine more than we can imagine. Our special day would not have happened have it not been for Premier Soirees. Truly an Unforgettable night!!  We were taken care of from start to finish and we have Ellaine and her team at Premier Soirees to be thankful for!!

Ellaine was recommended to us by another vendor we truly trust, and after my first meeting with Ellaine, all the hesitation of hiring a coordinator fell to the waste side. Truth be told, I had 2 other coordinators lined up to meet with later that week, of which I immediately cancelled the next day as my heart was set on Ellaine. She's confident, polished, poised, and was personally invested in every aspect of our big day to ensure our happiness. She remained constantly in contact with me every step of the way, which only made me feel that much more relieved that we were in good hands. I am a control freak by nature, ask anyone who works with me, who has gone through my "boot camp", and never once did I feel I had to flex my guns. Ellaine finalized our day of itinerary, contacted and confirmed all my vendors prior to the big day, took care of all my list minute items (even my forgotten gratuities owed to a couple vendors that I completely blanked on the night of, she handled it while we were on our honeymoon), all the while dealt with my family drama as it came and went. A few more bonus', she set up all of our decor, brought anything extra she had on hand (candles, table numbers, etc.) all at no additional cost, and contracted with us to set up our candy station (thank you gift to our guests), and worked with us on making sure it was within our budget. As many others before me, I have dreamed about our wedding since the day we said "I love you" and because of Ellaine and her ability to keep me at ease, we were able to live in the moment, and our wedding day was so much more than anything I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!!! We would recommend you to anyone and everyone!!!

They were invaluable to us from beginning to end. As everyone knows, a wedding entails so MANY details - so many of which you'd never think to think of; that's where Elle and Sydney helped so much. From rentals, to style, to vendor help to trouble shooting issues with our venue (and there were several) Elle A Events supported, listened and provided their expert and professional insight as well as their connections to ensure our wedding was executed seamlessly. Though the planning part was super valuable; we really couldn't have had our wedding without them running the entire day. They seriously did not sit still! They took our design pieces and preferences and executed them beautifully, creatively and beyond what we could have imagined. They made sure the events followed the schedule, moving us and our guests along in a timeless manner while still respecting the natural flow of the day. Elle and Sydney even took it upon themselves to clean up after our guests when the catering team disappeared without completing their job. No job was beyond their abilities and no job was beneath their willingness. All in all, Elle A Events gave us what every couple wishes for on their wedding day...no stress, no worry and absolute beauty. What we got was a creative, dynamic person who turned our wedding from a simple backyard dinner to a truly magical experience--all within our budget. From the beginning, Elle was focused on us: she heard what we were expecting of our wedding, what we dreamed our wedding could be, and the resources we had to work with. She made our wedding better in every way and never made us spend more than we were comfortable with. She is easy to talk to and to work with. I doubt anyone would have a hard time getting along with her on a professional or personal level, which means everything when dealing with a wedding, a time when both bride and groom are anxious, nervous and concerned with every detail. She was able to decorate our wedding so it looked like a high-budget production. Her taste in decor is impeccable. Given our limited budget, she put together table pieces, decorations and lighting for our backyard that truly transformed the space. She also helped coordinate the minutia of a wedding: how we would walk down the aisle, where to arrange our food, utensils, beverages, etc., and all sorts of other things I'm sure even I am not aware she handled for us. Basically, day of, all my wife and I had to do was show up to our own wedding and enjoy it! Finally, we have to mention her team, which absolutely shined on the day. They worked hard to put every last detail in place and, during our reception, they continued working hard to make sure things went smoothly. We had a better wedding than we could have imagined, and the best part was it was all done within our budget. She made our wedding look and feel like it cost twice as much as it did. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone who needs their event to go perfectly.

But trust me, you'll be pleasantly surprised that the pictures dont' appear that way at all. Any way, you just tap a screen (on the box) and you take 4 pictures within 1-2 minutes. Pose funky!! Of course it said HELLO GORGEOUS in pink since we were at a ladies event. Plus there was a link to get your pictures online! WHATT! I was able to talk to one of the owners of the business, Jamie. He so happens to be a photographer himself and the people he works with are computer/technology experts, aka, Lensley Automatic knows their stuff. I had SO MUCH fun doing this and of course I went back for more, or umm, 11 more sessions. And I definitely recommend them! Jamie and the person working with him even helped us come up with some nifty poses like, Michael Jackson! Well, mine wasn't that great, but you get the point. Beware of lairs: Bobbe and his partner appeared to be a extremely friendly gay couple when they approached us to get the business. But as soon as they get paid, their attitude turned 180 degrees. Bobbe lied to us and promised many things to get us to sign a contract with him. After he received our payment, he became completely unresponsive even when I tried many times to reach him during the three stressful days before the wedding. (Oh wait he did send one short text message at 1:30am the night before the wedding...!) On the wedding day we had many surprises from Bobbe -- not in a good way. Things turned out completely different from what he agreed to. He did not gave me the promised flowers in the fountain. The amount of decorating flowers were a lot less than he promised. I asked for branches and flowers but no green leaves for the gazebo (ceremony site) but when I got there on the wedding date, it was full of green leaves. Worst of all, he replaced the candles with electric light bulbs. It looked so cheap!!! I spent $60K for this 80 people wedding but yet I got this electric light bulb candles?! The white flowers on my bouquet turned yellow and dry when I received it prior to the ceremony. The flowers he gave me for my head piece turned yellow too. He didn't even have the guts to show up on person to do the event (which he said he would) but asked his partner Todd instead. He completely ruined my wedding and I cannot think of anyone who should consider their services. I spoke with the venue afterwards and they told us they had heard similar complaints about this florist.
