I drove an hour to the shop and when I got there, I had no idea where to begin and wasn't offered very much assistance. I finally decided on a skirt, top, and scarf. I left the top there to be altered on June 25 (included in the price) and was told it would be ready by July 10. Tarla hastily took my measurements but was very distracted while doing so. I was out of town then, so I called on July 15 to ask if it was ready. They said it was but that they would be closed on Monday when I wanted to come. They would however be open on Tuesday. I went on Tuesday, July 20 and Tarla was not there. I believe her husband was the one in the shop and he found my top. When I tried it on, it didn't even fit, the hooks wouldn't meet in the back, and it was too tight in the arms. He attempted to fix it but told me she would be back in half an hour. When she finally returned I must have tried the top on 10 more times. She finally removed the bra pads inside the top at my insistence but refused to put metal eyes for the hooks, instead leaving mismatched and uneven string. I told her I was nervous they would break and she left them. She never apologize for my troubles. I was there for an hour and a half. There were also two other customers that came in while I was there and their garments were not finished when the should have been. They were also clearly frustrated. When I returned home and tried the top on for my family, it was clear that it still didn't fit me correctly. The strings for the hooks were already falling apart and were uneven, and it needed darts to fit me properly. I am not driving another hour each way to get this fixed, since she wouldn't listen to my requests before. The wedding is in a week and I have gone to another tailor and am paying additional money to correct her mistakes. This is unacceptable as I spent close to $200 in the shop. While I appreciate altering being included, it is not quality work. There were many different colored threads used that didn't match and scraps of threads all over the garment. Please keep this in mind if you are planning on altering any totems, they will be made to fit, but not tailored to you.

Highly UNRECOMMENDED. Dropped off a cocktail dress and a men's blazer here in late October. When I…read morewent to pick them up less than a week later, I was told they were lost. I was told they were "looking for them" and to give them a week, which we did. We returned to the business after a week (gave them a few extra days) and still nothing. The employee called the owner, and he apologized and said that "per policy" he would only reimburse us 5x the cost of the cleaning. Fine, can't argue that as it's policy DESPITE the cost of both items being 5x that amount. We took the money and tried to replace the items, and are ultimately successful - ended up spending more than the money we were given. 3.5 weeks pass and they call - they found my stuff. Amazing news, we thought - but NO. The owner refused to give us back our (uncleaned) clothing unless we returned the reimbursement. I said no, and he hung up on me. Later that day, I went to the store and tried to talk it out. (Side note: there is no written policy about if lost clothing is somehow found weeks later). We argued that we spent the money replacing the items that they admitted were lost; it's not like it was a day or so -- 4 weeks had passed! If they didn't agree that the items were lost, why reimburse us? If we were to return the $ to him, we would be out 2x - the original cost of the items, and the cost of replacing them. But the kicker is that he called the cops on us. I'm sure they had nothing better to do with their time, amiright? So: tl;dr: if you'd like to entrust your clothing to an unscrupulous, unpleasant man who runs a business where they lose your clothing and don't treat their customers with respect then ... by all means, bring your clothes here to be cleaned. I told them that the next time I would make an effort to make sure the cat hair was not an issue. Today I took more shirts and one of them had a few cat hairs on it. I was told that this issue was discussed before and the cat hair was a problem. I gathered my shirts and told them that I would go somewhere else and I would also complain about their service. I have never had this issue with any cleaner prior to this time. I don't know what I was thinking trying to go there again. They are very unprofessional and you pay enough per shirt that they could take a lint roller and take the three cat hairs off.
