I'm not much of a skater, so I haven't any experience with the hardware side of things, but chunky skate shoes are usually my footwear of choice, so this place serves me well whenever the soles of my most recent pair are on the brink of falling apart altogether. The shoes here aren't any cheaper than you're likely to find anywhere else, but there's plenty to choose from and they've got a diverse range of brands from Adidas and Nike to Vans. The staff are all friendly types and more than willing to give you a hand, should you need it and with this being the only independent skate shop in Bath, it's definitely worth checking out if you're serious about the sport, too.

And I was in luck - there's pink branded EVERYTHING to be had here from flasks to towels. Quite obviously not a gym member, I felt pretty self conscious in this Bath store next to the other die-hard sport fanatic customers who seemed to be very seriously whilst buying sportswear. (And the ladies in Bath seem to take their sport VERY seriously) The shop assistants, however, were lovely and politely laughed while I explained the significance of the Sweaty Betty socks I was buying. The clothes in SB were feminine and practical but carried a hefty price tag. Only worth a visit if you're serious about sport. Or have a mum called Betty too.

I had to wait a while to be served; they get very busy in lunchtimes. For Bath, its quite a big shop. They've joined together two shops into one and a few doors down they also have a service centre.

I'm certainly not new to bikes and needed a quick fix (i was visiting a friend and had no tools on me). He takes a quick look at it and tells me I should most certainly dump it and get a new one. Something I happen to know as utter rubbish. I won't go on a rant about that situation. Long story short, a less knowledgeable costumer would've done what he suggested, and spent a fortune on a new bike. That is not costumer service and, quite frankly, a fairly dishonest thing to do. Like I said, bar that guy, the shop is great.
