A 'spit and sawdust' gimmick free gym. Pauls gym is to health clubs what fealties is to pubs in Bangor. Grimey, Filthy and very unwelcoming yet functional. You can get as good results as any other gym. However, it is very overpriced, but you end up leaving feeling rather ill. The place is filthy. The showers are fungus infested, and probably have not been cleaned since the days of Mike Bulls. The place is in terrible order, yet as stated previously it is a functional gym with expertise of the the owner. Most of the machines are about 45 years old, yet who cares. They do the job.
For a pleasurable (and cheaper) experience it is best to go to one of the other gyms where facilities are better.
In adddition, the sauna has been broken for ages. Yet Paul's gym is a gym for the hard-core trainers and again, perhaps such facilities are a gimmick.
owever, if Pauls gym spruced itself up it would probably lose its clientel who probably love the grimey nature of the place.
