Nearing 40 and my sedentary lifestyle was taking over, i was slipping into old bad student habits…read more I recently decided to change and make badly needed lifestyle changes. Enter Mick! I been training with Mick for just over 6 weeks and have notice a number of positive body changes...already! Not only that, my friends and family have too. Two sessions a week, and with correct diet advice from Mick, I have been able to make those changes needed for a better lifestyle. I don't like working out but sessions with Mick are both structured, well focused and fun. They do always make me feel better. Mick doesn't let me talk too much as it deflects attention from me, clever man! Mick always arrives on time at my home with his mobile gym, including music. Ever enthusiastic and bouncing with energy, he frequently gets involved which I find a great motivational tool. In the 6weeks with Mick I feel slimmer, stronger and, with those all important dietary changes, healthier too. I'm so happy with things I'm looking to do 3 sessions a week. Money very well spent investing in my health.

I booked his 6 week introductory package and lost 10kg and dropped 2 dress sizes. I followed his nutritional advice and put 100% into every workout and can't believe the transformation. Mick comes to every session thoroughly prepared with a written plan of exercises for that day. Not only has my shape completely changed but I am SO much more flexible and I'm loving the extra strength I have built up. Even on days when I don't exercise I am still losing weight due to my raised metabolism. I can't recommend Mick highly enough. You won't be disappointed!

LADIES BEWARE. I was touched inappropriately by Tony and when I said that area does not need…read moremassaged repeatedly, he laughed, stopped for awhile and kept doing it again. For obvious reasons i want to remain anonymous and the purpose of this review is to prevent more women from going through what I was put through and what I have heard other women have gone through. Here are the details of the horrible experience: I went to Tony for a sports massage which involved a back, shoulder, neck and pec massage. I have been for hundreds of massages in my life, both sports and therapeutic and know what to expect from each. The massage started off with my back and neck which was ok, and then my pecs. Initially he started of within the appropriate boundaries for pec massage, but later started 'massaging' my breast (he got as low as just above my nipple and the top of my nipple was revealed). I then told him that that area does not need massaged ie telling him to stop, after which his response was to laugh. At this point I was afraid and did not know what to do and thought that by warning him off once he will not do it again and will be more professional. He stopped temporarily but then returned to the area repeatedly. This happened at least 3-4 times, each time I told him no. His approach was different at each attempt. ( He approached from the armpit down to the lateral side of my breast just next to my nipple, and the other approach was he massaged from the front and subtly cupped my breast). All of these approaches were subtle, but obviously crossing the line as these areas are definitely no go areas during any massage. This was a traumatising and distressing situation of which I did not know how to react to. It took me months to write this review as I have been chatting to other sports therapists and trainers whose customers have reported similar experiences to them while dealing with Tony. This made me realise that its important for me to say something. I'm from Belfast, not San Francisco as yelp seems to think btw.

Tony is amazing he fixes injury quickly and totally professional. Can't recommend highly enough!…read more His experience speak volumes as does the number of professional sports people he treats ! Know his stuff!

I went a…read morefew times and always found it to be nice and spacious, friendly gym with not too many gym maniacs about so you can go and work out without feeling too intimidated. There is a great pool with a steam room and a jaccuzzi to chill out in after a big work out which is an improvement on fitness first, but the same service is available at the leisure centre, which is a bit cheaper as well. Its £30 a month for off peak, which isn't great, especially if you work full time because you wouldn't be able to go much. Good gym overall, but a bit pricey.

It has such a lot going for it. There is a great range of equipment which is always well maintained. I think the pool is an added bonus where one can go for a leisurely swim or have fun in one of the aquaroebics classes. A relaxing session in one of the two jacuzzis can be the climax of any workout. The staff are very friendly and always someone on hand for help or advise . There are well qualified trainers available for that one to one training. Booking can be done on line for specific classes such as yoga / palates. The changing rooms are spacious and well equipped with lockers and showers which are always clean and well maintained. There is a cafe which has a good range of food to suite all tastes. Members are entitled to a discount on any purchase from the sports store. All in all this gym has it all so no excuse not to give it a go! And by the way if u are an OAP there is a reduction in the monthly fee.

Its very much a gym for people for are very, very serious about working out and I found it a little bit intimidating for people who just want to work out to keep in shape. Its all pretty stereotypical with shaven headed men with massive necks and shoulders doing massive weights and standing about talking to eachother. There is very little in the way of atmosphere and its very unwelcoming. You would never feel comfortable asking for help and I can't imagine it would be much fun being a girl in this place.

You can get as good results as any other gym. However, it is very overpriced, but you end up leaving feeling rather ill. The place is filthy. The showers are fungus infested, and probably have not been cleaned since the days of Mike Bulls. The place is in terrible order, yet as stated previously it is a functional gym with expertise of the the owner. Most of the machines are about 45 years old, yet who cares. They do the job. For a pleasurable (and cheaper) experience it is best to go to one of the other gyms where facilities are better. In adddition, the sauna has been broken for ages. Yet Paul's gym is a gym for the hard-core trainers and again, perhaps such facilities are a gimmick. owever, if Pauls gym spruced itself up it would probably lose its clientel who probably love the grimey nature of the place. Good points: Expertise of the owners The machines 'do the job' Bad points: Unwelcoming Overpriced Absolutely filthy The sauna is broken
