The gym is in the Dungannon Rugby Club Stevenson Park complex so its fairly no frills but where it really counts it has all you could need. The main space is fantastic with high ceilings and an array of equipment. There's also a spin studio with regular classes and a large studio upstairs for classes and circuits. The team of trainers also make use of the pitch and outside areas to really make you suffer!! Speaking of the trainers, they are a friendly and approachable bunch and seem to achieve serious results quickly with really positive encouragement - I've seen a big difference myself after only 2 weeks. The gym also has a very even membership of men and women which adds to the welcoming and unintimidating feel. Great place!

But I've been using it a bit recently and was surprised to find out how kitted out it was and how well organised everything is! They have a hall for kids parties with the usual bouncy castle, bikes, toys etc and a desperate room with a small kitchen (should you need it) for the actual party As for fitness, they hold several classes a week, all varied, and have a cracking wee fitness suite upstairs for all your gym needs. My only negative would be that it could do with a bit of updating, but other than that, wouldn't go passed it now.

It has been part of the Antrim skyline for as long as I can remember and it wouldn't really be he same without it. It is a rather ugly plastic building but the facilities it offers is excellent. For some reason, there are security gates at the entrance. The receptionists do open them if you want to use the public toilets but otherwise you will have to insert the card given to you for your session to open them. It is about a ten minute walk from the Masserene Golf Club, five minutes from Clotworthy and fifteen minutes from the Lough Shore via Deerpark Bridge. The close proximity to Antrim's main leisure and tourist destinations is good. I can't really find anything wrong with it - the only thing is that the bowling alley is quite small so everyone goes to the big one at Dundonald Ice Bowl if they want a serious game of bowling.

Antrim forum also has lots of other activities to take part in and all reasonably priced and it is much larger than you might expect from a relitivly small town leisure centre. There is also a soft play area which is ideal to take little ones too they love it and burn off lots of energy. Also easy to get to by bus or walking or car.

I attended a charity football tournament here on Saturday and was shocked by what I was presented with. When someone says YMCA to me I immediately think of a the song and then I think of a run down church hall in desperate need of repair but to my amazement when I pulled up to Belfast's YMCA I was presented with a state of the art building and a huge car park. I read on the way out that there's an on site gym, youth club and cafe. We were playing on the football pitches out the back. The pitches themselves were a little over grown but as it's off season you can give them a bye ball on this. The facilities at the pitched included changing rooms, floodlights and small goals with netting. I'm not sure how hiring the pitches works but if you're thinking of organising a kick about I would get in contact with the YMCA. I couldn't believe I hadn't been here before Saturday, they obviously have invested a lot of cash in to this facility and it's a shame that more people are not aware of what's on offer here.

That's not as odd as it first sounds as there is a fantastic indoor play area in this leisure centre. The whole centre was refurbished last year and so the soft play area is still bright, fresh and new. None of those questionable smells or stains you sometimes see in older play centres. The soft play area was a big hit when we went to birthday party there recently. There are plenty of balls and big squashy things to throw about , loads of space and great equipment right up to the ceiling for climbing, swinging on and generally going mad. There is a member of staff on duty at all times who will step in and firmly but not harshly tell the kids to calm down, there is a seating area within the room for parents too. Party food is delivered to a big party room upstairs which has ride on toys and balls to kick about and again loads of room for the over excited kids. A great play area which is suitable up to the age of about 7. Older kids will dismiss is as too young so little ones only.

It's taken nearly five years to complete from when they bulldozed the old railway stand but the improvement is amazing! The National Football Stadium (as it is to be known going forward) now has a seating capacity of 18,500 but you'd swear there were more fans in the new enclosed stadium. For the new South and West stands you enter the stadium through Boucher Road, which still remains somewhat of a building site as they apply the finishing touches (OCT '16). For the North Stand and improved Kop you enter through Tates Avenue as before. The concourse of the stadium is still not completely finished so the only food and drinks options are located outside of the stand, on opening night they had burger/snack vans parked up but hopefully when the concourse is complete they have bar and food facilities indoors.
