I visited this store the other day with a friend to shop for a gift. We had been browsing for about…read more30 minutes, and my friend had even used the fitting room, when an employee approached us and informed us that the store has a "no bag policy." This was never mentioned when we entered, and I have honestly never encountered a policy like that before. We were asked to hand over our purses, which were then taken to the front of the store while we continued shopping. When it came time to check out, the cashier asked whether I was paying with credit or debit. After I said credit, I was told I had to show my ID in order to use my credit card. Between having my purse taken and then being asked for identification just to complete my purchase, I felt like I was being treated with suspicion the entire time. It was an incredibly uncomfortable shopping experience. Afterward, I spoke with several people who have shopped at this store multiple times, and they told me they have never been told about or experienced a "no bag policy." If this policy does exist, it should be clearly communicated to every customer upon entering, not enforced after they've already been shopping for half an hour. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and I don't plan on returning.

FF doesn't compare to DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse), but depending on the time, you can get some really nice shoes here! I have wide feet, with a very low arch, so searching for the right shoes are important. I'm also not looking to spend much, unless the shoes look amazing and are made of extremely durable material. Scratch that - I'm just looking for comfortable and cute, yet affordable shoes to last me through my stay in Alaska. I found some boots during their bogo 50% deal along with a 25% off stackable sale, and saved almost 80% on them! Now that's a steal! I wish they had more brands and a larger selection like DSW *sigh* The staff are friendly, and the location is deal because it's right next to Target. There's plenty of parking, but that's not really a problem in Alaska (at least not that I've come across).

And I was panicking because it's the last of that item in stock either in Wasilla or anchorage. I was trying to put a friends name down that lives in the valley on the order and I couldn't since the order was already made in my name. I was told to cancel and reorder. Well since it was the last item I couldn't reorder since the system now says it's out of stock. I called again to ask if they would hold it at the desk as my friend is on her way to the store. They also tell me no and good luck and hopefully it's on the shelves when she gets here. For customer service it doesn't seem like these people like servicing their customers.

We visited the fish creek sales booth at the alaska state fair and my son purchased a sweatshirt,…read morewhile standing at the counter paying for the sweatshirt he put the size small sweatshirt (his usual size) on and it was clearly not true to size and very big on him, it would honestly take him two years to fit this 60.00 sweatshirt... wellllll they had finished the transaction around the same time! so we looked for a smaller size!!! there was NOTHING in his size!! We asked the cashier if we could get a refund and explained the situation and they would not do ANYTHING for us, didn't give a crap nothing fit!! ALL SALES ARE FINAL he says so we look for a sign that says that and bam a tiny little sticky note at the corner of the counter was there no refund policy! Now mind you we have spent 1000.00 over the years from them!! NEVER AGAIN! He found a sweatshirt hidden in the back of the rack finally, not his taste, still a little too big, but will work! it cost 5.00 less also... no gift card with 5.00 credit.. just a see ya later! would not recommend shopping here, completely in aawwweee of the lack of consideration to a loyal local customer unbeknownst to them!! By the way the customer was a 15 year old boy!! They can keep there overpriced merchandise, i'll be taking my business elsewhere! I would rate a 0 but that is not an option!!
