I am not surprised to read similar reviews on this site. And wanted to share my experience too. While staying at the nice Pension Wild hotel, I visited this place twice. The first time, I was greeted with pleasant afternoon bar staff and a friendly atmosphere. At 730am on a Saturday however, I experienced the worst customer service I have ever encountered! The moment I entered, I was informed by an astonishingly curt and gaunt receptionist / barman with a baseball cap and an attitude problem that they had run out of slippers and towels but I could wear my shorts. On presenting my Pension Wild room key which is supposed to give me a discount, the receptionist gave me an unmistakably dirty look and charged me the full price. I was surprised to find that there are no drinking water fountains in the sauna so I asked the gaunt man on the front desk. He curtly told me to wait at the bar and he would be along soon. After making me wait more than 10 minutes, the same guy sauntered into the bar and proceeded to serve everyone except for me. On giving me a dirty look he returned to the front desk. This he did twice, each time giving me a pointedly dirty look before sitting down in the bar with some of his friends and pretending to write something on a scrap of paper. I went over and told him I thought I was dangerously dehydrated from the sauna and he told me "in a minute" and shot me a lingering dirty look again before returning to his scribbling. A friendly Austrian at the bar took pity on me and didn't want me to have a bad experience of his otherwise friendly and beautiful city. He casually waved and ordered for me - the gaunt barman jumped up like his pants were on fire and he served us both instantly. The message here is this: this place is hostile to tourists, some of the staff are beyond rude and should never be in a position of customer service. Simply the most unprofessionally ran business I have every encountered, steer well clear!!! read more
