I really love this place for a relaxing Sunday or an after-work treat. The facilities are very clean, and there are multiple pools depending on your preferred temperature and ambiance, both indoor and outdoor. The prices are reasonable (especially for an American--we're not used to cheap day-spas.) I can't speak to the quality of the salon, massages, etc. as I haven't indulged, but I'll amend my review if I do sometime. My only complaint is that, the last time I was there, there were quite a few very loud teenage boys running around, slamming their chairs around, yelling, etc. and nobody from the staff stepped in to ask them to quiet down (we were not in the children's section of the Therme!) read more

I remember a time when going to the Therme was a trip you take when you want to relax. Today it has more in common with a water park than with a calm spa-type place. They kept announcing that the Therme was at capacity but yet they kept letting people in. The hygiene in the showers by the lockers is horrible. Parents bring strollers (!) into the shower area with dirty wheels. And although there is a pool for children, people go into the pool for adults with their kids making those pools overcrowded and the quiet areas noisy. Not once did I see anyone who actually works there who should have told parents to go to the kids pool. And also the reception desk at the (all nude) sauna area was not occupied and people took their kids. This used to be the one place that was a safe haven for silence. No more. EIther they should let fewer people in or be more strict about silence. In summary: don't go there if you want to relax. read more

Bring your own towel. This place is great for both adults & kids. 3 indoor waterslides and 1 outdoor waterslide. 1 of the waterslides uses tubes (they have tubes for 1, 2, and 3 people together, which is so much fun for a family). The indoor waterslide without tubes has some intense movement - lots of fun. All the different pools exist both indoor and outdoor, so you can also visit on a cold or rainy day and not really miss anything. Bring your own towel because they aren't provided. Too expensive! Kids who are between 14-17 should be considered kids, students, or teens, surely not adults that they charge full price for! That is not cool at all! On Mondays, "kids" are free with an adult, but not if you have a 14-17 year old. They are full price. With kids, the spa area was not an option for the extra price. Should be all included with the adult pricing...especially because we could not spend more than a few minutes in there anyway. Would have been a nice treat for a few minutes! Nice and clean with a variety of pools is the only thing that gives this place 3 stars. The salt water pool was relaxing with the under water music, except for kids trying to splash around you. Two short slides are not enough, but they were fun. Needs a wave pool! The diving boards were also fun, haven't jumped 4 meters since I was a kid. Surprised they let little ones go off them. Loved the warm water in a cold winter. Won't go out if my way to return here, but it was a nice (expensive) afternoon with the family. Definitely go on a Monday to get the kids in free if they are 13 and under. read more

I wish I lived in a world where I could give this place 3 stars. Austrians, you are spoiled! I love New York; I never really want to live anywhere else, but when I get on the plane home I nearly burst into tears thinking about how long it's going to be before I can go to a real therme again. I loved everything: swimming in the delicious warm pool and moving slowly outdoors - the thrill of the warm water mixed with the cold January air; the salt bath, the odiferous aufguss in the sauna - and the hilarious heckling back and forth between the aufguss - er and the sauna - ees. This was a big difference between Austria (well, at least Vienna) and Germany! And also, they didn't use that awful term "FKK Bereich". That almost takes the fun out of all being naked together... Anyway, the only thing I maybe didn't love was all the couples making out in the "Quiet Grotto". Well, but I was probably jealous. And, also, the schlepp to get here is - a schlepp. Especially going back - unless Tichy is open. Which is wasn't in winter. Am I the only one who wants Ice Cream in Winter? Well, another point for New York. Anyway, you Viennese, you should just know how good you have it! I love my Russian Baths. They've got vibe and history and all that, but, at the end of the day...at the end of the day, these are the kind of baths I would choose: that wonderful combination of serious Therme and Water Park! well, since its been remodeled its actually pretty nice! especially cause its in vienna and one doesn't have to travel all the way to styria etc. however, having very sensitive skin, I must say that its not the best or most thermal water. but the sauna area is pretty good with various different options. so yes, for a quick after work refreshment, not bad. read more

I'm incredibly happy we chose to come here on our vacation. Take a day away from sight seeing to lay around, go in the sauna and get a massage. This was perfect. read more
