Whenever I am vacationing in a Canadian city, I end up declaring a Winners as my go-to store during…read moremy stay. In Winnipeg, it was this location on Pembina Highway, near the University of Manitoba. It's in a plaza that I used to frequent eons ago. It was nice to head back here a few times during my stay. There is plenty of parking in front of this store. I always found a spot steps away from the main entrance. This store carried the light line of Kipling bags. I saw a nice backpack. The downside to this light line is that it doesn't make certain pockets padded for your laptop. I still like my Kipling backpack with padding. It's still lightweight. This store also had Kipling handbags. They were nice, but were too small for my needs. The PopSockets section was great. I ended up getting a ramen one, which I am currently using. I also got a clear MagSafe one, which is cool changing things up. I managed to get a couple of small Squishmallows at great prices here. I got a frog and a beaver. I am looking at them right now. Adorable! Last summer, I got a tongue cleaner at a Winners in Ottawa. This store in Winnipeg had stainless steel ones. They don't compare to the copper ones that I bought in Ottawa for both my dad and me. Copper is great. The plastic ones also do the trick to keep your tongue clean. I find that the stainless steel ones don't do as great of a cleaning job. There's my review on tongue cleaners from Winners. Bonus content. Enjoy! I saw some cute mushroom lamps. It would have been nice to have brought back one, but it wasn't lightweight. The kitchen accessories were cool to look at. I loved everything from training chopsticks, to pineapple-shaped ice buckets. The shoe section was decent. I liked seeing a bunch of size 11 footwear for women. The Crocs with fuzzy lining looked hideous. I bet that they felt great wearing them! Staff at the checkout were super nice and helpful. I never had any issues having my TJX Canada STYLE+ barcode scanned from my phone. I paid with either a debit or credit card. All went well. It was nice shopping here a handful of times. It's a good store. (305)

If you're in a hurry, you aren't going to find what you're looking for. Check back often because items are always changing. Make sure to try things on. There are so many different brands here that everything will fit in a different way. Its a great place to find designer items like Michael Kors and Calvin Klein at discount prices. Also a great place to find one-of-a-kind pieces as well. Winners isn't only about clothes, either. They have accessories, shoes and great home decor. I've purchased many picture frames, blankets and pillows for my apartment decor at great prices.

It has houseware, electronics, cosmetics, and a small number of grocery items. I drop by this store whenever I am in town. There is plenty of parking at this mall. I walked into the mall and London Drugs was staring at me. It's next to a sushi restaurant, which I have flagged. I recall the RBC ATM at London Drugs. It was modern, but only allowed cash withdrawals. It is by the store entrance, on the right when you're walking in.. I immediately hit the cosmetics section. I loved all the nail polish and lipsticks. The selection of brands and colours was great. I got lost in housewares. I love small appliances. I have no idea how that happened. Anyway, it has everything from frying pans, to hot dog toasters and steamers. I wanted to get the Peanuts hot dog steamer, but didn't know how to bring that back on a plane! I love this store's electronic section. I love looking at laptops and accessories. There was also an extensive DVD section and I hope that it's still there. The electronic section is in the far left corner when you walk through the store entrance. Next to this section is the cell phone and television area, where you can get them and accessories. It's a cool place to be. It was summertime. Naturally, I had to look at food-shaped pool floats. The chocolate-covered pretzel pool float looked pretty cool. I ended up getting two huge bottles of Minions banana Tic Tac candies. They were cute and tasted yummy. The cashier who help me out was friendly. There were a couple of people in front of me. The wait wasn't all that long. I do miss this store. I hope to come back to check it out and have some sushi next door. (136)

This store is at St Vital Centre. It's a few stores down from London Drugs. If you like Squishmallows, or Hello Kitty and Friends merchandise, this store has a ton. It's awesome! I finally saw its display of Dubai chocolate bars. Cool! Devices to cool you down during a heatwave were being heavily marketed while I was in this store. I liked the neck fan and fans that hold a block of ice. What caught my attention was a Squishmallows crochet kit. I could knit a frog and stuff it. I decided to get it. The woman at the checkout counter was friendly and great. She asked for my phone number associated with my Showcase Insider account. She found me and let me know that I had $5 off this purchase. Yay! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I placed this kit in my paper bag with handles. I thanked her and left. I have started watching the video on how to crochet this frog. It's rather lengthy at over an hour in length, but the instructions are clear so far. It was great shopping here. I'd return again when I'm at this mall. (248)

I came here to check out Winners and spent some time browsing. Over the course of my stay in Steinbach, I visited it regularly. I like the Winners here. I was pleased with my purchases. The downside was that there weren't a lot of women's size 11 shoes. This mall has a Dollarama. Its hours of operation are different (it opens at 7 am) than the mall's. The Sobeys is cool. It has its own entrance next to the mall entrance. It also has different hours of operation, which makes sense why it has its own entrance. I looked at a ton of freezies, along with fresh produce and fruit. I liked looking at photos and learning about the mall's history. They are on the wall, by an area in which you can sit down. Self-guided learning is awesome! I learned that this mall was established in 1980. There was a photo of the mall sign being erected. This mall is 45 years old this year! It's cool to that this mall is the largest one outside of Winnipeg and Brandon. It had everything that I needed while I was here. There are some stores that are a part of this mall, but are separate from it. I've been to McDonald's, Starbucks, Walmart, and Staples. All of them comprise the mall, but mainly face highway 12 and are detached from it. I probably spent the most time at Starbucks and McDonald's to get drinks. Walmart was great getting snacks and fruit. I browsed around Staples and didn't buy a thing. It's a decent mall in Steinbach. It had everything that I needed while I was in the city. (234)

You have to enter the mall to get to this store. I entered through the Sobey's entrance. The mall entrance is next to it. I'm thinking that there's likely a closer mall entrance to get to Winners, but I could be wrong. I liked shopping here. The cosmetic section greeted me. I ended up getting watermelon toner. I've been using it since I bought it. It has a nice watermelon scent and has been effective removing impurities nicely so far. The handbag section had a nice assortment of colours and styles. Sadly, I didn't see any Kipling bags. The shoe section was a bit of a disappointment to this woman who wears size 11 footwear. There were only two items that were in my size. The sneakers looked cool, but I didn't need them. I wasn't interested in the other pair. The phone accessories section is also decent. I got a four-foot USB C-to-USB C cable. I have been using it in my rental car. It charges my phone quickly and the length is perfect. The checkout lineup was long when I got there. However, it moved quickly. I got a nice woman who saw my TJX Style barcode on my phone and scanned it immediately. I then paid for my items with a credit card. Done! I thanked the woman and left with my items. I put them away in my reusable bag and drove off to my next destination. I like that Steinbach has one of everything. This store is the only Winners in the city and it's great. (230)

I did a search and found this Giant Tiger on Main Street. It was maybe an eight-minute drive from where I was staying. I came here on a Monday. It's located in a plaza, across from a Chinese buffet. I had no problem finding parking. I parked and walked in. I knew that this store was a good one when I saw Old Dutch popcorn twists. They are yummy and you don't have to deal with the hull getting stuck between your teeth. However, each hull has fibre, so you do get that tradeoff. Anyway, the twists now come in salted toffee. I grabbed a bag. OMG! They were so good that I ate the entire bag when I got back to my hotel room. Oops, but so yummy! I came for fruit. I got a bag of plums. They were smaller in size, which was perfect to have a couple each day. They were the perfect ripeness. I just finished the bag. The grocery section is cool. I saw produce while I was looking at fruit. The dairy section had lactose-free milk, eggs, and more. I saw frozen pies, and racks of ribs that you heat and eat. It had everything that I like. I ended up getting a Canada t-shirt. I forgot to pack my Canada t-shirt for Canada Day. I like that I paid $10 for it and didn't break the bank. I wore it all day the following day. It was comfy and fit nicely. There was a bit of a lineup at the checkout. A man was using the only self-checkout kiosk that was operational. I ended up getting a human. There were two women cashing folks out. I got a nice woman who rang up everything. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I declined getting a bag. I carried my goods to my vehicle and put them in my reusable bag that I brought with me. It's a good store. I'm glad that I found it for my grocery, snacking, and t-shirt needs. (232)
