By chance, in May I saw Dr. Melody Derrick at my usual CDH hospital office location when my regular…read moredoctor from the same office - Dr. James Carsten - was not available for the week. Since I had not been able to get in with my regular doctor, I had to have some on-the-fly blood tests two days before at a Cadence Convenience Care location. While the results were not alarming, I was told to follow up with my regular doctor a few days later. By chance, I was able to see Dr. Derrick as a substitute within two days and to go over my results. My office visit was very suffice, to say the least. Dr. Derrick was very prompt (I was only waiting in the doctor's room roughly 5-8 minutes), extremely nice. We went over my previous blood tests and what was going on, and just for precaution - she ordered me a few more tests. We even went over some of my other previous tests (from previous visits with Dr. Carsten) which I thought was very nice. Within a few days, all of my tests results had come back with good news, and Dr. Derrick posted the results very quickly on my CDH MYCHART, and answered my emails. I was quite nervous waiting for some of these results, and Dr. Derrick tried to re-assure me that more than likely I was going to be just fine. She has a very nice bedside manner and I didn't seem "rushed" out of the room. While Dr. Derrick is not my regular doctor, I would highly recommend her as a new doctor if you are searching for one - or - if by some chance your regular doctor of the same location may not be in, and you need to see a doctor in a pinch. She is very nice, thorough, and it also didn't hurt that she is very attractive. :) Highly recommended.

Excellent doctor, fairly easy to get an appointment, and REALLY listens.read more

My insurance changed in summer 2014 and just by chance, I was recommended Dr. Carsten, who I have been going to ever since. Dr. Carsten is friendly, easy-going, thorough, and takes the time to listen. Several of my visits I have had ongoing issues which Dr. Carsten tried to help me figure out all possibilities of what was going on, ordered/ran whatever tests he thought were related, and even once referred me to a colleague of his. He is very talkative and even funny/personable. Several of my visits, he has been more than thorough and we have actually sat and talked over EVERYTHING for upwards of 45 minutes to an hour, so I have never felt 'rushed out of the office'. His office is convenient being it is located right within CDH, therefor all pertinent blood tests, xrays, etc. that you may need simply are right there for you - just walk right down to the main hospital entrance and just about every related facility is at your disposal. His staff and nurses are also all very nice, and I have even used some of his partners on several occasions when Dr. Carsten was out of the office or was unable to fit me in - I will also recommend one of his partners, Dr. Melody Derrick. See my review for her. Dr. Carsten is great and I will not go anywhere else until I have to. I would highly recommend him if you are referred to him, or, just maybe looking for a new general doctor.

His office is state of the art, the staff is beyond helpful, friendly and makes you feel comfortable in every way. Dr. Chow is a polite, kind, friendly, man who will make you comfortable, explains everything thoroughly and is very gentle. Even though I live in the city of Chicago, I drive to Central Dupage Hospital to see him . So if you are seeking a fabulous and compassionate ENT who specializes in Sinuses - this is your doctor!!!

I watched as they shuffled people in who were scheduled after our appointment time... I spoke up and still they shuffled people in and out as we waited. I decided to leave this review, and review of other doctors who make patients wait like this, in hope they will see it and realize what consumers already know- doctors are like donuts - they are available in droves all over town. It is not acceptable to make people wait for an hour to see you! There is no other profession that this is acceptable behavior. You've lost us as a customer. We'll find another ENT among the hundreds available in the Chicago area. Further, Dr. Donzali refused to clip our baby's tongue, he said it was too mild for him to clip, and that I should just bottle feed instead. We got a second opinion from Dupage Medical group, and the doctor there - Dr. Amin, clipped her tongue. WIthin two days our daughter was successfully breastfeeding for the first time in three weeks.

He started scaring me with all the bad stuff that could happen, and telling me if r MRI results are bad I may need surgery. I said I won't do surgery. . . I said I have a chiropractor and massage therapist. He said don't see your chiropractor till after the MRI. She might mess it up. the next day my massage therapist worked on the cuboid bone in my foot. That was the cause of the foot problem. I had tight muscles in my thigh which made the leg seem weaker. It was a very odd visit with DR. Pastore. I had the feeling he was trying to push me into medical solutions for things that could be easily remedied by my long time chiropractor and massage therapist. Doctors almost always consider complimentary therapy bad.and useless. . I am left with feeling uneasy about visiting Dr. Pastore in the future.

I mainly went to him as my right foot had gone numb. It was quite debilitating, and I could not drive. After a thorough examination he explained to me it was not my foot and believed the problem to be my back. He immediately ordered physical therapy for me, a lumbar MRI, told me to find a back doctor and I started my journey of healing which does concern my back. I will be forever grateful that he did not order unnecessary tests. Physical Therapy and Acupuncture is actually what is healing the numbness in my foot. Thank you Dr. Pastore for your honesty and integrity. If I ever do have a do have a foot problem - you're the doctor!
