Such a great find! We came north for a long weekend party in Radisson. We are so pleased with what…read morewe found for lodging on the Internet. Bullfrog Resort was perfect for us! There are four older cabins, but they are very clean and stocked with all the supplies we needed (we had to bring our own blankets and pillows). There were two bedrooms - one queen and the other had two bunk bed sets. The screened in porch got lots of use in the evenings!! The cabin sits just above the flowage, and we had beautiful views from our cabin. The owners met us as we drove into the resort driveway, and were so friendly! When we got to our cabin, we had special treats. There was a bottle of wine on the dining room table, with glasses on a rack. There were also two Bullfrog Resort koozies, and and a Bullfrog Resort keychain for us. The refrigerator had a small bowl with chocolates. It is the little things!!! There is large outdoor, fully-stocked kitchen, and a outdoor living room area with a TV and lots of games. This would be perfect if you came up with a large group. There were a few piers we could use on the Flowage for fishing or relaxing. They also had kayaks, a paddleboat, and a big float for guests to use. The very best part is that we could bring our pet - our cat loves to travel with us. Thanks for everything and we will be back!!

Stayed in the Commanche, which in the photo shows a nice steel door. When we arrived, there was a rodent chewed bottom wood door, that lead to a cabin that had obviously not be cleaned for a long time. Started our trip by sanitizing our dishes as the sign in the kitchen said we needed to do, and after looking in the dishes it was obvious they needed to be cleaned. Opened the door to get a dish rag... mouse droppings. Okay, it happens. Got unpacked went out on the lake to a neighboring establishment for fish, then went fishing until dark, back to cabin, bonfire, bedtime....... you guessed it rodent holes and mouse droppings. Didn't even provide fresh bedding. Husband wanted to leave immediately, I didn't want to drive home and have to come back, so we "slept" in the living room with blankets we had in our vehicles, made it through the night and packed up. Why would you give away a free 2 night stay, and stick guests in such filth!! Thought the give away would have been meant for good advertising. With location, we definitely would have been back. But no longer..........

Some friends were there for dinner and we met them for a drink before. The host kept coming back to us and asking us if we were a certain group, even after saying no multiple times. Oddly enough, before they were seated they were told by the bartender that it would be impossible to order appetizers at the bar and they had to wait until they were seated. Wouldn't even allow them to be ordered and paid for at the bar, which I found a bit strange. I have not been here on a late night and maybe they do bands or dances or something like that which would explain the open/wasted space inside. Lastly, they are a resort and it appears that they prefer resort traffic over the local or local cabin traffic.

Stayed in a different cabin each trip, and both the cabins were modern and clean. The staff is also outstanding, and the owners, John and Maria, made us feel at home on all of our trips. The food at the lodge/restaurant is also outstanding. May seem a bit pricey, but, for the quality of the food and the portions you get, it's definitely worth the price! In August, we also rented a pontoon from the resort. Was reasonably priced for the day and had a blast on it. If you haven't stayed here yet, or are a local who has yet to try the restaurant, please do so! Absolutely amazing! Will definitely be back in 2018 for a trip or two! And for us, living 7 hours away near Chicago, it's definitely worth the drive as well for a long weekend.
