By far the best restaurant in town. The chef, bartender and waiter, Bill, was great. Kept us fully entertained while he handled everything going on for every customer. Really enjoyed the three meals we had while escaping the snow on the Continental Divide Trail. Bill even came in early to make us breakfast and at 7am was enjoying a beer and dip. Way out there in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming you find this little place, the only place for miles to eat. Unique in almost every way. I think the guy that waited on us was a little drunk, but he was hilarious just the same. For an example, there was a bicyclist there ordering water and the waiter asked," Do you want ice in that?" They biker said yes, and the guy shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, some people do and some people don't." When I ordered a cheeseburger for my wife and I with fries, he said, "Oh, boy that might take a little while." That statement was true, but when the food did come out it was delicious! So, if you are in a hurry, don't stop here, but if you want to sit back and relax, watch and listen to some interesting characters and eat some good food, it is well worth the wait. read more

Lolololol. I guess I'm just wierd but I liked this place. Had to run in and get cash from their ATM, was there an hour. Buying pottery from Monk King Bird Pottery ( go check him out across the street) needed cash. Walked in to locals drinking which all were very friendly. Dog walking like he owned the place was a cuddle bear. Bartender was tipsy but really really nice and friendly. All in all if I'm ever driving thru again, I would definitely stop for another cold one. read more

The Split Walk is an authentic piece of the American West, serving food and drinks for more than sixty years. We biked up from Rawlins yesterday in a fierce headwind and arrived in Jeffrey City hungry and tired. The Split Rock Cafe first provided cold drinks (heaven!) then a great hamburger. We spent the night in the church nearby, then came back for a hearty breakfast. Good eggs and bacon and thick slabs of bacon made us ready for the next 60 windy miles to Lander. We appreciated this oasis in the desert! read more

We stopped here two years ago to eat breakfast. We met the gentleman who was the cook and bar tender. He served us an awesome breakfast food and we had a cold beer before we left. I will be sure and stop by again when i come through the area. THANKS read more

Good basic grub. Above average atmosphere. Really liked the funeral service cards they post from local area. Good value bar - got a jack and water and they brought a half a glass of jack and not much water. On my list for a return visit. read more

I bicycled down from Bozeman and spent an afternoon and evening here. The local folks were friendly and entertaining. Had the BLT for lunch and the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes for dinner. Both were average. Kevin and John showed me around their shop and gave me a beer. In the bar, Charlie (and his dog, "Pig") made me feel at home with stories about his life. You don't want to miss this place if you like meeting characters. I could go on .... read more

A fine cheese burger and hand cut french fries. Don't ask for the fries to go. She says they don't travel well and won't do to go with them. Only chips to go :) A quirky divey place with charm and character. Cold beer, pool tables, cowboy hats and lots of cribbage play. And the only place to eat within miles. read more

Best burgers ever - taste like burgers did back when I was a kid. The new owner keeps it clean, is really friendly and nearly always open. Menu is growing and the whole valley is really pleased with the changes! read more
