I have a brand new car that is covered in micro scratches. Some of the scratches are on the hood of the car so I can't imagine how they got there other than the car wash. I have never hand washed this car myself. I have a membership and use the car wash service each week. During one of the visits, the side mirror housing was ripped off. I had to ask the manager to go into the wash and retrieve it. He gave me info to make a claim and took pics. I filled out the information and included pics. The company determined that the mirror had preexisting damage, because there were no other claims for mirror damage, and when reviewing the video, the equipment was working fine. My car is in pristine condition, and did not have prior damage. It is a 2019 with 28K miles. I am so mad! read more

Good well maintained facility with commendable staff. Been a regular here and never had an issue. Although it's not gonna be 100% spectacular perfect car wash, the job does get done efficiently. Two lanes of lines and can be long at times, but it flows. Reasonably priced for the the type of service package you select. They also offer a monthly wash club. He then cancelled my monthly "membership" and refused to refund me the unused portion of the monthly fee. He also refused to tell me who the owner was. This is no way to run a business. I go to the one off of Naaman's road. When it's good it's well worth 17 bucks for the wash that includes armor all on the tires. But perhaps 2 out of 5 times my car is clean but dries spotty as if the water was dirty. Or perhaps the dryer blower fluctuates? Frustrating. read more

Typically, I don't expect much from car wash places. The employees just let the machines do the work and wave you on. If you're unsatisfied, tough luck it's not their problem. This place is different, the service here is amazing! I came here for a car wash and was pleasantly surprised that they offer free vacuums for unlimited time. You do have to bring your own towels though if you want to wipe down your car. I still had some crusty bird poop residue on my car even after the wash, so I asked if I could bring my car around for another wash. Instead, one of the employees came over and personally cleaned it off for me! He didn't have to do that and I didn't expect him to but he did. My car and I appreciate that, such excellent and hard working employees. Not to mention how reasonable the prices are--probably not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and your car will be CLEAN. read more

In and out with a quick wash and free vacuums! I thought it was a little pricey but I don't get my car washed often. It was $15 for the wash that included the wax coating (definitely needed when driving in Philly). The wash took around 4 minutes, which was very fast. My car looks very nice after getting this wash. I don't really understand these other reviews. This isn't a full service car wash and doesn't claim to be. I did the $11 car wash. They had the $8 and $15 as well but the mid-grade was really all I needed. You pay at a machine and are ushered onto the track. Throw your car into neutral and enjoy the ride. Afterwards you can use the vacuums for free. The hose is long and the air flow isn't pathetic like some of these other places. I left with a really nice clean car after 15 minutes and $11. I'd say this place is a great, fast, convenient place to snag a car wash. read more

On a recent sunny, sunny Monday I took the G8 for a bath. Me and the rest of Newark decided to converge all at the same time and the line flowed seamlessly. The staff of gentlemen are polite and helpful and keep the facility very clean. The restroom is very clean as well and available to the public. The car came out clean and the vacuums have enough power to clean the carpets, although the dog hair is tough regardless of the sucking power. I live in Wilmington and we have nothing like it here! I've been a member for a few months now and I am pretty happy. Occasionally I'll get a minor scratch or buff mark from their equipment but that is to be expected by a mechanical car wash. I find the limitation to their wash to be that it doesn't do the wheels or wheel wells very well, sometimes tends to leave soap spots, and the drying blowers leave a bit to be desired. Generally speaking its not an issue except in winter time when sometimes I just want to drive through and go without doing some hand wiping after the wash. I get my car washed 3-4 times a week for the past 4-5 months so I have pretty good experience with this particular car wash. I'd highly recommend the membership program, we have it on both cars and even getting your car washed once weekly, it easily pays for itself. I'd like them to put a hose or better yet pressure washer wand outside during the nicer weather months b/c I'd like to be able to hose out my Weathertech mats on occasion. I wish the free vacums had a little more power too, they don't get up dog hair or anything that's ground in very well. Its not usually a problem for me because I wash and vaucum so often but if you only occasionally vacuum, I can see it being an issue. read more

I drove out of my way because of the high reviews on this car wash, but when I got there it's not touchless and the ribbons are very heavy and sloppy they did not clean the front of the car. I just had my car washed there and full service was $15 which is not much. That's why you've to do all the hard job. The machine is doing cleaning, drying, and polishing of the exterior. YOU have to do the entire work for the interior of the car. YOU have to vacuum, wipe the car interior and exterior body, wipe the windows. I only saw two employees in the entire Blue Hen Car Wash. One is supervising and helping customers, if they need. The other one is operating the washing machine. I don't recommend going if you want a real car wash. read more

I just signed up for the $17.50 package with free vacuuming. This car wash advertises, "UNLIMITED WASHES", with their package deals. I wasn't given notice of the terms and conditions until after I paid and went through the car wash. After vacuuming, I drove off and started to read my "terms and conditions" when stopped at red lights. It says at the bottom, to "please limit your washes to one per day". Obviously I was confused. I called and asked to speak with a supervisor. The man that answered the phone said he was the owner. Can't remember his name tho. I asked him why he advertises "unlimited" but places limits on what should be unlimited. I asked, isn't that false advertisement? The "owner" did not deny this. He admittied to me that it was false advertisement and tried to offer an explanation and failed to provide one that made sense. He said it would cost him too much if everyone washed there cars multiple times a day. He did not seem to want to change the wording from "unlimited" to some different variation of limited. Although the price for one wash per day, for the month, saves you around $190ish, it's still horrible to draw people in with, "unlimited washes" but put in their fine print, limits to how many washes you can have per day. The basic monthly "unlimited" package barely gets your car clean anyway. I am an Uber/Lyft driver so I was sold on the free vacuuming. Is the deceit worth the free vacuuming? Possibly. Lol but I think this owner and his business cant be trusted. He's the kind of guy that will be calling his customers because of a data breach that could have been avoided if he wasn't that type to cut corners for a larger profit. Lying to customers is horrible. Especially about what they are getting for what they paid for. I paid for "unlimited" at $17.50. I am not receiving "unlimited" for the price advertised. I will not renew my monthly subscription. There are definitely other places to go to wash my car. I will gladly pay more to a business that exercises honest business practices. read more

Best car wash around. Customer service by far outshines any other local wash. Membership options are the most reasonable around also. Can't say enough good things. Only thing I do not like is that the vacuum hoses are too short to go around your entire car so I have to climb over the seats to do both sides. This was my first time going to the Blue Hen Car Wash. I really wanted a membership with a car wash, but wanted to try it out before I bought the membership. Lucky me that I did! I selected the highest cost in wash. I came out of the car wash to free vacuuming. Yay! When I looked at my car...there were still water spots all over my car, and even some dirt spots still left. I gave this car was 2 stars only because the staff are very friendly and helpful. I chose the $11 package. The good thing is my car didn't get scratched. What I don't like the most is that my car didn't get washed well. There were white residues left from the soap. Those dirty places on the side the car cannot be washed. Also there was no one to towel wipe my car. I have to drive my car in a wet condition. People work there is also funny. Brand new car wash off Kirkwood b/w 273 & 7. I've always used the $6 drive thru car wash off Limestone & Kirkwood with a fill up, but this pale is a sweeter deal. For $7 you get your basic car wash/blow dry (most gas stations don't have that/air dry), but included is FREE VACUUM. Can't beat it. Don't know how many times I've had to rummage for quarters only to run out of time when I'm 3/4 way through. Only reason I'm not doing a 5/5 stars is you have to pay $1-$2 to get a sham or detailing sponges and then your hands are all nasty. Great car wash place, will be my new spot. read more

While going through the wash, a part came off my car. The attendant told me that there should have been a sign stating that they are not responsible, but since there was no sign, the part would be fixed. I gave him my number and no one called back. I called the owner and he didn't return my call. I fixed it myself with $3 fasteners. What bothers me the most is I was not called back regarding this.
