We had a great experience with SPL Lawn Care who replaced our 34-year-old tie wall with Versa Lok weathered walnut stone and caps, along with the most fabulous irregular stone steps. It was exactly the look I wanted, a price that was the best available by a huge margin (as Ty did not pad by "selling" us more wall than we needed nor did he add surcharges for materials that had to be ordered), and his work came with the product distributor's recommendations as the best contractor. Ty did not know we called; now he does and this reference was terrific.
The job was completely quickly with Ty and a crew of four in three days. They were respectful of us and our property. Ty's communicate on each day was excellent and his employees were very professional and polite.
This thing I observed is that while the final product is perfect and appears simple, the actual mechanics behind it are complex. Ty planned for removal/disposal of the old wall, for the water distribution from the gutters and rain, the drainage into our driveway, worked with the driveway's asphalt footprint as possible for the design, added materials needed for each stage of build, and removed debris, and completed clean-up. He had his own machines and tools. And I especially noted he used levels, something that is sometimes disregarded by other contractors (in my case, brick layers and drywallers).
I like using local businesses and this reinforces the strength of our community. We are in Evans City. My husband and I are starting to need updates to our yard and help with our property. Ty is someone we would use again!! read more
