I knew they were out there, somewhere. A dealership that actually cared and treated their customers like customers. I was afraid we may have lost the "good dealership" that used to be out there. If you are looking for a dealership that talks the talk and walks the walk, then you need to visit Axlerod Buick GMC in Parma. And, ask for Steve. I actually felt "good" the entire time Steve was working with my wife and I, and that was the difference between us driving off the lot with a beautiful Expedition, or leaving without a deal, frustrated as usual. We drove off in that Expedition. Steve made everything easy. One of the best car salesmen I have ever worked with in my 50+ years. Also, Steve handed us over to the finance guy, Tom. Tom was a straight shooter. No bull, no hassle, no pressure. He was a seasoned pro and took care of us very quickly. I highly recommend Axlerod Buick GMC and Steve. Cannot go wrong with that combination. PS-We could have gone anywhere to buy a vehicle. We did not need help with finance and we knew what we wanted. Steve listened to us and made it happen. Great experience.
EDIT: I have reduced my review down to a 3. Here is why: Although the people I worked with there were very good, treated us right and worked with us to make the deal, that alone does not make the overall experience and does not guarantee a return trip for our next purchase. In this case, I will not be returning. After I got home, the folding mirrors on our vehicle malfunctioned to the point where we cannot use that feature until we get them repaired. I realize the 30-day warranty covers drive train only, I didn't think it was too much to ask if they could help us. Here is the response I got from Steve (paraphrased): (Sorry, but because we discounted the vehicle and gave us more for your trade than we wanted too, and, the 30 day warranty covers only the power train, we cannot help you, good luck.) I was immediately insulted. We knew the vehicle was over priced from the beginning, and we had just got our trade in appraised a week before for the exact amount that Axlerod gave us. I came there after doing homework and knew what I was doing. Like everyone likes to brag about, "I have been in the car business for 200 years", I have also been in the car business, buying cars, for just as long. Steve, please don't insult me by telling me you really discounted that vehicle. The vehicle was over priced anyway. And don't tell me you gave me more for my trade when I knew what the trade value was going in. It doesn't do you well. But what really got me was when you told me at your desk that your maintenance department went over that vehicle and anything that needed fixed would have been fixed. I see why the maintenance department has low review ratings. Just as the so called "detailing" of the vehicle before delivery, I could see why the maintenance department would have either not even checked the mirrors for proper operation, or didn't want to make the repair hoping the buyer wouldn't notice. That is why my wife and I will not be returning for any future purchases. We do not trust Axlerod! And to think, all you had to do was offer to help us out. read more
