Thanks Spiro! I had a last minute project and Spiro got it done for me!!! I called a few others places and they couldn't do it!

I had been looking for a place to have my Bible repaired for some time. It was too precious to let fall apart and just get a new one. I reached out to Spiro's Printing and spoke to Spiro. He was very helpful and accommodating. When I went to drop off the Bible I realized this business was operating on a much bigger scale than just repairing 1 persons book. He never made me feel like my needs were not important to him or his business.

    Business card.

Ask the Community - Spiro's Printing

I have 2 very old books I would like to have rebound, and pages reattached. 1 is a children's book from 1880, the other is a small pocket type book. I just want to be able to have them whole again, so they can be looked at. Approx. price for that?

I will look at them for free and guide you in the right direction. I will most likely be able to repair them. Spiro 805-665-5065…

In the past, I've sent away for rebinding, and it's incredibly inconvenient and time consuming. Zavalas does absolutely outstanding work. What's more, I was surprised by both the fast turnaround and the low cost. I already have another rebinding project I'm eager to take to him in a few months. The first one, which I just got back, was coming apart because of the poor glue job done at the factory. I was more than happy to pay to have it rebound with high-quality stitching, and receive it back practically brand new. I see that a recent customer complained about "up-charging," and only wanted a crummy reglue. Hilarious. He or she should've been happy that Zavalas wanted to do the job correctly. This isn't a place that's simply going to glue together poorly constructed Bibles and books. They're going to rebind them to last forever. Not only all of that, but both times I went into the shop, Mr. Zavala stopped what he was doing, and sat down with me in his office to explain the process, and this for a repair job that was only going to cost me forty dollars. I was deeply impressed that he would take the time to do that. (He happened to be in the middle of rebinding a Bible that was over a hundred and thirty years old, which I'm sure is no inexpensive repair.) That he'd sit down with me, a new customer, and take the time to talk to me... this is the epitome of high-quality customer service. I will go to this company with all of my rebinding needs from now on.

I have a small business myself and to me it's more important to provide service to my clients that will support the ongoing relationship and reputation rather than holding rigidly to small print to "protect" a $20 transaction. This store does not hold the same business philosophy that i do. that said, Copperfield's has lost any future business or referrals from my family who have been repeat customers for years.

This place was recommended to us by our Dept. Head so we came to check it out. When we got there, the owner took us into the back workshop to tell us exactly what they did and how the final products would look according to each style of binding they did. They can bind pretty much any style you want (im no expert on binding but they sure had a lot of styles). She then showed us all the fabric types that they had in stock that could be used as the fabric on the cover of your book. She said it usually takes about 3 days of so to bind our portfolio's (since others from previous classes had come here before too). They also offer an embossing service, that is extra for the piece to be made that embosses it (prices according to size but i think its usually around $75), but it looks very very nice when done. I decided this was what i wanted and after I had printed out all my pages I cam back here to get it bound. When I got in, she remembered me from when I first came in and took me into the back workshop again to go over what we had talked about, and to pick out a fabric. I chose a black, very clean almost pleather type material. They have real leather fabric too, but the price jumps up almost $150 for the real stuff. It was a Tuesday that I dropped it off and she told me to come back on Friday. I got there today to pick it up and i must say im very happy with the work that they have done. My portfolio book is bound great and looks very professional now. I originally wanted to have it embossed, but as a student, you cant always afford everything that you want, so perhaps at a later date i can take it back it to get upgraded.. Im very happy with them for their quality and speed and would recommend it to anyone.
