The staff person looked in the back to get additional bottles. In addition to have local wines, they had a very nice selection of wines, beers and canned cocktails. They also had a nice selection of pickled veggies, candies and other local delicacies. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on the wines in the store. Prices were very reasonable. And he said, "Well, I guess I would have to make a decision in that situation, but probably not." And I'm thinking, "Uuuuhhhh, you're making no sense. First it's illegal to sell when a minor is in the party, and then, thirty seconds later, it's okay if the older person is 'old enough' or a relative? What the fuck are you on about you jackass?!" Fine, whatever, so we popped down to Tom's, and the woman said to my friend (who was the only one buying), "You are paying for this, sir? May I see your ID?" ... So it's legal for Tom's to sell to him regardless of the rest of our ages, and not Blue Goat? No, that's not what it was at all. I would have had a lot more respect for the guy and the store if he had just said, "I'm not comfortable selling to you guys with a minor present. I'm sorry it has to be this way, but that's our policy," rather than making up state laws. Anyway. The second time I visited I was hunting for a specific type of Okinawan sake, and this guy (a different one than the first) just couldn't seem to understand what I was asking for. I don't know what the deal was, but I spent ten minutes trying to explain to him that I wanted one bottle of Okinawan sake called Awamori- the brand didn't matter, but by the end of it I just gave up and decided to look online. Though Blue Goat has a pretty good selection, I would honestly rather go to Geyer's or Meijer for anything I need, with the internet as my last choice.

On a sunny day, they have outdoor games and a corn maze if you are fortunate enough to visit in the autumn.
