What a pleasant surprise! This place is chock full of oils, vinegars, spices, and wine. But the homemade spirits are really where it's at. I'm sorry to hear about Samantha's experience, but I guess that staff member is no longer there - everyone we encountered was really nice, explained everything clearly, and encouraged us to taste whatever we wanted. I ended up with bottles of the Hunter's Herbal and gentian liqueurs, which were delicious. My mom also bought a few of the specialty vinegars. A little pricey, but I think this shop is really interesting, and pretty unusual for the States. I'd gladly go back. read more

Literally stumbled into this place after a long hard morning of skiing and was thrilled beyond my wildest imagination. Delightful store located upstairs on the "quad" in downtown Jackson, WY- the most charming village set in a backdrop that takes your breath away - winter or summer this town is a treat and this shop is a perfect fit. Spirits and Spice is a phenomenal combination of amazing exotic spice blends, imported spirits and olive oils from all over the world. They bottle it and market it themsleves,. Scotch, Cognac, Whiskey, Gin, Rum, Tequila, authentic Irish Moonshine, and on and on. You can sample them all and have them shipped home. The Gin, Irish Moonshine and Tequila were the 3 I tried and was blown away by the depth of flavor and uniqeness. The oils are equally out of this planet, my personal favorite is Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil -so nutty, rich, flavorful, you can't get this anywhere, well they get it from Austria so I guess you can get it there - I am speechless to describe the amazingness correctly. Did I mention the vinegars? My favorite is the White Huckleberry, made in the USA! Not only can you taste everything, but they have local wine selections for tasting as well. I picked up 2 bottles of the Jackson Hole Pinor Noir - which is delicate and complex. One of the best Pinots I have ever tried. This place is like Disney World for the pallette. Every spice you can imagine - I liked the Tumeric Salt - there are literally 50 of everything to taste! You could easily spend a few hours here, so come when you have the time to really enjoy it. Service is PERFECT, they ship for free over $120 - which you can spend in no time! Great for unique gifts. read more

Such a fun store, they let you sample their unique liqueurs before you buy. A little pricey but some great stuff.

AVOID these con-artists at all costs. We went into the store and one of the employees was offering samples so we gladly indulged though he seemed to be in a bad mood for whatever reason, we then made our way to the register to purchase a bottle of whiskey and he tries to charge us $20 for the sample despite NEVER telling us the sample was $20 (for two thimbles of cognac at that). When we mention to him that we were never told this he replies "I told the guy in front of you" in referring to a gentleman who was in the store well before us....as if telling another unrelated customer this would justify trying to randomly spring this charge upon us? Completely absurd and he didn't bother to apologize, just proceeded in his terrible mood and truly baffling customer service. Jackson is a charming place but this place is certainly NOT. read more

Wow, I think hard alcohol and liquors are coming back and my gut will not appreciate it! The bottles look lovely (man, from a distance, my wife and I were just sold on their lovely bottles). We got to sample everything that interested us in the store and it all tasted fantastic. The servers were helpful and gave us good advice on what to try as well! The ones I really liked: the hard cherry liquor, the lime, the raspberry, and the spices and vanillas! This place has made a believer out of me when it comes to drinking hard alcohol. Give everything a try and be impressed. We visited Jackson from Washington so we took the deal to get a number of items and have it shipped to our address. Looking forward to the lovely bottles and their contents! read more

I think giving them 1 star is a lot. I went there and purchased $ 200.00 worth of alcohol & my cousin also spent the same amount. We went back the following day and found out it could be shipped as long as I still had the receipt and unopened bottles. Brought it all back and the blond hair women who was the Manager ( who acted like this was the biggest imposition & who was not friendly at all!) then stated that some of it couldn't be shipped because they might not have it at the warehouse ?? But if I wanted to ship two of the bottles I could but it would cost 22.00 to ship!! Mind you they say if you spend over$125.00 free shipping. Just not a good experience! read more

This store service was very snobby and not very accommodating. We asked if we could sample the spirits. The reply was.. we would have to purchase what we sample. Well adios to you. Jackson Hole what a racket. read more

This place has Delicious spirits. So happy we found this gem at The Venetian. Received our shipment promptly and-well packed. Husband and I just finished a bottle of Apricot Whiskey, all I can say is OMG!!! read more

The staff were very cordial and gave samples to us as best they could with quite a few customers wanting their attention. In the end we left then came back with friends, again getting samples until we decided on our purchases. We had them shipped home FedEx for $6.50 after a minimum $125 purchase. There is quite a variety, from oil and vinegar to bourbon and tequila. A fun stop! read more

Highly knowledgeable staff and wonderful tasting experience. I spent way more than I expected to but found a fabulous Kentucky bourbon and a Wyoming whiskey, as well as some bar and travel accessories. The woman who helped us, Shannon, has amazing handwriting and wrote a great personal note on the bottle of bourbon I bought for my husband. Highly recommend!! read more

A unique little shop just off the square. Whether you're a foodie, a cocktail lover, or shopping for gifts, this is a great stop. Spirits, oils, vinegars, spices. Not cheap, but man, there are some amazing finds. If you walk away with anything, you're GOT to try the pumpkin seed oil/apple vinegar combo. It is incredible, I have to ration it out so I don't go through it too quickly. My one complaint about the shop is, while the staff is extremely helpful, they just jump on you right away and will not leave you alone. I HATE that, it makes me uncomfortable and want to turn right around and leave. If you've got a little money and time, take a tour around with your taste buds - you wont be sorry. read more

What a treasure! Great service, and an amazing selection of oils, liquers and spices, all available for sampling. Pick out something interesting and they'll hand-bottle and label for you (they actually hand-write with paint on the bottle). Cool!! read more

My husband and I were drawn inside on their grand re-opening day. They were sampling lots of wine, beer, spirits as well as some food items. The store is so cool. We ended up leaving with a super smooth and tasty bourbon made by a local as well as some jalepeno olive oil. Super nice staff too. read more

To be completely fair, this place is amazing, but OOOH SO PRICEY! If I hadn't been in search of really good olive oils, I think I would have seen the prices and left. But I did find the olive oils, and some nice vinegars, and asked for them in the sizes that were advertised for a certain price. Here is where it gets strange. I got several bottles at the listed price for Small Med and Large, and when I walked out, I realized that I had been charged more than I had calculated in my head. When I got home I realized that on TOP of the price for the liquids I had been charged for the bottles! And these were not the "fancy" bottles I could have gotten, these were the plain bottles that came with the product. WHAT? When I called and asked why this was I was told that I could always come in and "refill" the bottles, and that I wouldn't be charged again, but these were GIFTS! I am not going to be getting these bottles back to refill! I can understand if I chose a fancy bottle that it would be extra, but most people who visit Jackson are not going to be coming back to refill bottles. Can't you just have a basic bottle that is included in the price of the product? Charging for a bottle for a product that is dispensed from a larger container seems ridiculous, especially when your clientele is mostly tourists on vacation, and won't be bringing the bottles back. read more

My husband and I walked into this store and the lady that assisted us was extremely rude. She embarrassed us in front of the whole store because we were unaware of how things worked in the store. We had never been in a store like this and, I will NEVER go back into another one. This lady ruined my day in Jackson Hole! It was a horrible experience. I felt like crying from complete humiliation. read more

Really fun, unique store with friendly and helpful employees. Could have spent hours there! Best shop of the day!

This place was great. We simply saw a sign for spices and oils. We thought that we would just whip in and grab some truffle oil. It turned into one of the coolest things we did on our trip! read more

Great stop if you are at all into the Cullinary arts. Flavors of oils and vinegars that you've never tried. Wonderful spices also.

If you're at all into cooking, this is a must see. And oh my, what a find. We do love our food and do lots of cooking and in the past year have started using different vinegars so this was a perfect place to try even more. The accompanying oils were better than you could imagine. We didn't even get to the spices or liquors as we ran out of time. Theo was our enthusiastic server - he was so helpful and his suggestions were great. It was clear that he loves to cook and experiment with all these items. We left with the catalog list and plan to continue to purchase. read more
