I have been to Spirited Art 5 times. Each time has been a great experience. The first time we went my friend called and was told our group could pick the painting for the night which was awesome! I've been here twice for work team builders and their space works great for groups. They have the whole process down to a science Your canvas, apron, paint and paint brushes are all set up for you when you walk in so you just pick a spot and wait for the skilled instructors directions. I've also been here for a birthday party for one of my daughters friends which was the cutest thing! I love that this concept can work for everyone from little kids to adults. My favorite part of Spirited Art is that The Wine Loft sends a waitress over to bring you drinks. I'm not a painter but give me a glass of wine and I'm in!

WINE AND PAINTING; GENIUS!! Went here last week with a large group, and had the best time. I was nervous going in because I didn't know what to expect, but they really break it down for you step by step. Its quick drying paint so you are constantly moving on to the next step, but its also easy to correct if needed. We did a sunset scene, and our group had a blast cursing our clouds (all in good fun, of course). They provide you with everything you need (canvas, smock, paint, etc), and are always willing to help if you have questions. They do the paining along with you too. You can get wine and food service from the Wine Loft next door, or you also have the option to bring in your own wine and pay a corking fee. We went this route. The cooking fee is $10 a bottle, but if you get $5-6 bottles of wine from Trader Joe's, you are still spending less than you would getting bottles from the Wine Loft. We got several flatbreads which were amazing too. Try it out! You can do a date night, or a big group. If you have a big enough group, you can pick the picture out. I hope to do this again soon!

I went for the first time tonight and painted a pineapple. We had so much fun! We purchased off of Groupon it was a great deal and came with a delicious flat bread from The Wine Loft next door! This was a daily easy painting and even though every one paints the same thing each persons painting is very unique! I can't wait to go paint again!

Took a class with Gary last night and it was great! He told so many jokes and made a pretty complicated painting seem easy. I would defiantly recommend this place!! When we arrived there was an outline sketched on the canvas and all of the supplies were ready at each seat. The wine from wine loft was really good too.

Having the fabulous staff coordinating schedules and attendances in one location is so beneficial. And knowing that I get paid even if a student is out assures me my bills get paid! I try to work with my students closely to catch them up or if possible find a small amount of time to make up for time lost but that is not always possible with my busy schedule teaching in multiple locations. Many years ago, I also had my children in music lessons there and it was a wonderful experience where they were nurtured and valued. When we did have an emergency, the staff helped us to work out a solution for a make up or kindly credited us to ease our worries during the crisis. I never asked nor expected a refund if we canceled for basic illness or other reasons. We were always credited if the Center closed due to weather. This is standard practice in most lesson-based businesses per my experience, much like signing up for a community college class or having a child in preschool. It is a small price to pay for the quality instruction you are getting from professional musicians and artists in the Richmond area. The staff are always looking to be helpful and listen to any concerns, as one might expect from a church-run program.

The director is a extremely controlling person and she does not allow any communication between parents and teacher and everything has to go through a little phone/voicemail system she is in charge of. Worst of all, they make you make a commitment to a semester of lessons without any options of doing a make up lesson, even if you tell them two months ahead. We had to walk away from the teacher we like after two trial lessons. The director also owner of this place is impossible to work with. If your child has a busy schedule and you are looking for some flexibility, don't waste your time talking to them. They make the teachers sign no competition contract so the teachers cannot respond to you or communicate with you. Even North Korea is communicable now, but not this place!

The communication between staff and student is a limited professors will make themselves available during office hours, but then ask like it's a major inconvenience. If you need help from them, don't buy into their 100% NCLEX PASS rate bs. The majority of the students don't graduate they kick out over 50% of the nursing student students with no way for them to complete the program. It's very intentional. And it's very petty they tell you to keep in touch with them after graduation so that they can help you find a job but they will report you to the board of before texting you or emailing to let you know that you're doing something wrong. They lie about their clinical hours. They are a complete embarrassment to the nursing profession. Really bad reputation go to any other school.

The professors race through teaching the curriculum so that you can complete the degree on 18-20 months. When this happens, students are not learning information to retain. Students are memorizing information. Better yet, many of the students cheat to pass so that they won't get put out of their programs. When students report those cheating, it goes in one ear of the staff and out the other ear. How is it fair to those students who are actually studying and not cheating to earn lower grades than those cheaters? When students are going to the professors telling them the students are cheating, why is this constantly being overlooked? Why isn't the President or Dean doing something about it? If your average is 69.9999, the professor rounds it down to a 69 and not round up to a 70. Honestly, these are some of the most no mathematical people I've ever seen. You learn how to round numbers in elementary school but a college professor round simple numbers. If you decide to go to the nursing program and decide not to heed my warning, then stay away from LINDA PECK'S class. She teaches one thing in class and tests on something totally different. You're better off teaching yourself rather than going to her class. I don't want any medical professional to work on me that has cheated their way through school. Hence, the very reason you should consult beforehand. Don't forget to check those medical licenses. If you're a minority, you want to skip South University as they allow current students to post racial slurs etc in social media. When it is brought to the attention of the school no one says anything. If I could rate this so called university with negative stars, I would. If you don't know now, now you know. Are you learning yet?
