I moved out of state and didn't use this account for more than a year. Because I didn't close the account in person before leaving, and there was no way to deal with them remotely, they eventually marked my account inactive and took the entire balance out in monthly fees! They refused to change my address by phone (because it wasn't the address on file...no kidding) and, even though I had forwarding orders on my mail, they never updated my address using the notices from the post office either. I could not update my information online because they changed their online access during the months when I wasn't using the account, so my login no longer worked. Finally, two years later, in the middle of Covid-19 I was told by a "customer service" rep that he could email me a form, which I had to have notarized. Except nothing was open to get anything notarized! By the time I could get it done, all the money in my account had been taken by their monthly fee charges. Honestly, this place was terrible even when I lived near it. I still remember inquiring about a loan while there and having the bank rep announce my social security number out loud to everyone in the lobby. I was so angry. She didn't seem to understand why it was an issue. Think twice before going there. I will NEVER do business with this place again, even after moving back to MN. I warn everyone to stay away. I can't tell if they are just ignorant, or if they are just trying to con you out of your money, but consider yourself warned. read more
