The space was welcoming, the instructors were warm and encouraging, and the energy was pure empowerment. They met me exactly where I was--physically and emotionally--and helped me build strength I thought I'd lost forever. Slowly, class by class, I began to feel muscles I hadn't felt in years waking up again. I started standing taller, moving with more confidence, and, dare I say it, feeling powerful. This isn't just a workout--it's a healing journey wrapped in sweat and trembling muscles. The Lagree method is no joke (your glutes will write you angry letters), but it's also deeply transformative. I am stronger, leaner, and more connected to my body than I ever was in my 30s or 40s. And the best part? I now look forward to movement. Mary is a great Aqua Fitness instructor and her classes are always packed with about 50 people per class. She is very knowledgeable, gives excellent queuing, and provides modifications for various levels, even for those of us who need more of a challenge. I have been able to get my heart rate up, get resistance, core & flexibility training here. I've noticed significant improvements in my overall fitness and physique. The pools & facilities are clean and in great condition. Water temperature is about 78 degrees and they have multiple pools to accommodate lap swimming, classes, and a kid's pool. The restrooms are pretty clean, contain 3 private shower stalls, multiple open showers, and a machine to wring out your bathing suit which is a plus. I hope to be back next summe

I hear of this place every summer but never had the chance til this week. What a great place for kids to enjoy water play. But actually for the entire family too! We went during free swim time from 12-4pm and it was only $10 for ages 3 and up. There's a big shallow kiddie pool with water activities and then 2 water slides on the back side of the park. There's a rec pool that maybe goes to 4.5 ft depth so it's perfect for just enjoying the water when you can't lap swim because the pool is crowded. A large picnic table area can be found in the middle of the center too so you can being lunch and snacks too. There a larger Olympic size pool on the west end of the center that can be used for lap swimming so overall it's great for all ages and swimming levels. We're planning to be here quite a bit for the summer! There's also cabanas to change into and showers to rinse off before and after swimming.

We have a 2014 Winnebago Sightseer Class A motorhome that had a hydraulic leak in the Lippert…read moreLeveling System. I had taken it to a local RV repair shop in Camarillo who charged $93 to diagnose the leak and $188 to make the repair which supposedly consisted of a leak from a hose fitting. However, the unit still leaked. Turns out the leak was coming from a seal between the pump and the reservoir. Lippert does not sell the seal but requires the purchase of a new pump unit with the reservoir. Winnebago sells it for $1063 plus tax and shipping. And you would have to pay labor to remove the old unit and install the new one. I took the motorhome to JR's Hydralics in Oxnard as he said he had the seals. Given how the unit was constructed by Lippert and installed by Winnebago, JR had to completely remove the pump unit and reservoir. He replaced all the seals and showed me the original seal between the pump and reservoir which had a crimp in it. He said the unit had likely always leaked some but perhaps got worse. JR's total bill was $420, consisting of $380 for labor (which he bills at $90 per hour) plus parts and tax. He also replaced the #4 valve bolts with #8 tensil strength bolts because the unit creates 3,000 lbs. of PSI. The unit no longer leaks. I took the motorhome in the morning and picked it up in the late afternoon. JR was courteous and professional.

We recently incorporated her classes as part of our training for a half marathon, and both got PRs! What we like about the workouts with Kate is that you get a combination of cardio and strength building. You leave feeling "worked" but so incredibly energized for the day. The groups are small, so you get all the benefits of personal training session, but with the added motivation that comes from working out with other people. Since we've been doing it for a while, we go to the 8am advanced class, but there's also a 9am beginner level. I absolutely recommend this class to anyone who wants to start working out or to add to their current fitness routine.

They just opened a new Pilates reformer studio within the gym and I was highly encouraged to start a separate membership for that new rollout program for $99/mo. The push to do it felt gimmicky and almost like I was at a car dealership... but, I used to do Pilates and I missed it so I reluctantly signed up. Took my first class before work and the instructor was 12 minutes late. She was acting very strange and sniffing constantly, and then randomly starts crying, pacing aggressively and is telling us she is having issues with her sister (she did this multiple times). Turns up techno music full blast and is having us do boot camp style moves. She ends the class 10 minutes early (classes are supposed to be one hour). Other members walked out frustrated, another telling me "it was like she was on something!" which, after working in ER for years, I completely agreed with. The next class, INSTRUCTOR NEVER SHOWS UP. After rushing to get there and bringing all of my stuff to get ready for work, it was a complete waste of my workout time. I had a class with the same instructor two days later and I was apprehensive to waste my time again so I cancel it in the app and they charged me $10!!! How about $10 for me after my time was wasted two days prior?!! Took two classes which were great (Kesh and Andrea). They actually knew what they were doing and I recognized one of them from a Pilates club in the area. Next class was with Brenda and it was HORRIBLE. She had us add too much weight and push through movements that were uncomfortable, felt unsafe. She kept coming up and putting her hands on us to push through movements, correct positions, WAY too many reps. I "pushed through" as instructed and hours later I COULD NOT MOVE. I called out from work the next day and saw my MD who put me on bed rest. A week later, no better and had an MRI! I spent my entire birthday in bed as a result of this class. A week later, I called the club to inform of my experience. I spent 5 days trying to get ahold of someone; leaving messages with no return call. Went in physically on 8/16/25 and was able to cancel the Pilates membership I was told to contact their operations manager, Capri, regarding my experience. Again, calling and being hung up on, no return call. After several attempts and much frustration, able to connect with Capri. She seemed confused as to why I was even contacting her. I told her my experience and she was defensive, dismissive and negated the things I told her. Example: "the instructor you took is not like that, she doesn't use substances." Ummm, were you there?! How do you know that? How is what I just told you not a concern?! I continued to tell her about my experience with my back and she was again dismissive. I told her it was not what was promised, that their Pilates instructors do not match even remotely in technique or class style, which she also went on to defend. I asked her for a refund or at least partial based on my experience, to which she said "I can't do that because you used the service." The service?!! It was horrible and I was injured because of YOUR NEGLIGENT INSTRUCTOR!! I took a total of 4 classes, 2 of which were awful, 1 that injured me! I asked her if I could speak with someone from cooperate or similar and she stated "I am the only person you can talk to, there is no one else." I asked her if my only option was to go through my bank for a refund and her snarky reply was "do whatever you need to do." Just wow. After finding a complaint blog for this gym online, I saw they have been dismissing their members FOR A LONG TIME. I also found out that the salespeople make commission on their memberships so no wonder Steven or Capri did not want to help me or do the right thing. Money is their main motivator. Everyone was so nice to me UNTIL THEY GOT MY MONEY. I have now called their corporate office who was closed every time I've called (surprise, surprise) and I am now dealing with getting this handled with Better Business Bureau (who has been very responsive). I am hoping to get this resolved but in the meantime, felt the need to leave this warning review so no one repeats the same mistake. They are using this class to drive up sales while using members as pawn since the program is not well established. Your money is better utilized at much better reformer studios in Ventura. Remember: you get what you pay for. As for the gym itself, it is mostly clean but always packed. The only time I have been able to come and get my workout in freely without waiting for machines is before 8:30am. So unless you're an early bird, good luck. I wish we had a House of Gains out here because they are the gym cheat code. This place is NOT it. Bottom line: this gym is solely money motivated and you will just be seen as another number.

Reservations are a must and they are only open on Thursdays during semesters with seating from 5:30-6:30 in 15 minute increments. Prix fixe dinners are $33./person We began with two salads and House made rolls, several small very tasty appetizers followed by a delicious cioppino. There was a very tasty shrimp cocktail/ceviche with avocado. Entrees included grilled shrimp and pineapple, miso mahi mahi and hand carved prime rib. Deserts included madelines dipped in dark chocolate, creme brûlée and mixed berry crepes flambé. There is complimentary sangria and 2 buck chuck, iced tea and coffee. Great food and a great way to support hard working young people.
