Give it a try!…read more Long version: I used to dance competitive hip hop on a collegiate team years ago and have always wanted to go back, but studios like Snowglobe and Offstage are a trek from Camarillo. So I stopped. I was hesitant at first because a lot of studios in the area are tailored to children or workout programs for adults. But when I looked at classes, they have a great variety that are tailored to adults. Nothing wrong with 10 and younger but not quite the classes I'm looking for. I signed up for heels and had a lot of fun. I was a fish out of water and immediately changed into sneakers but that's because I've never done heels and jumped into intermediate/advance. Everyone seemed to know each other already so it was cool to see a community there. The space is great - a lot of floor space. Cubbies on the side. Bathroom. Lights. Can't really go wrong. Instructor and owner were really kind. Will definitely try other classes. Happy to see more diverse studios finally showing up in Camarillo.

I really appreciate how attuned the instructors are at not only teaching the generic dance steps, but also really seeing what will benefit each student, and teaching accordingly. I'm someone who cares most about the feeling and essence of the dance - I love feeling inspired while dancing, and I really feel this here. Almost every class she has a new concept or dance choreography, makes it so much fun to learn. You can tell she puts her heart and soul in every class. They don't really allow parents to watch which is why I took off one star. I loved watching my daughter dancing. They don't have a lot of sitting inside but they have more sitting available outside. Lauren the owner only pays attention to the kids whose families have been with her for years . Those are the kids that she develops and works with . She allows bullying at the studio and on the team and never addresses it directly unless it starts to impact her bottom line . She humiliates the kids on the team if they miss a step in front of peers and makes it seem they were disrespectful when they respond . You pay a large amount of money for your kids to be on her competition team for your child not to be developed or trained properly. I know this now because we have moved to another competitive team and now I see what real development is . Beware of this studio !

Classes are always new and challenging. Both instructors keep up on their certifications and bring the latest Pilates/Fitness training methods to their students.
