These guys are amazing! Jay provided acoustic guitar and singing for our cocktail hour and full DJ/MC service for our wedding reception and it was incredible, making the night unforgettable. They know how to read the room and keep the vibes flowing throughout the night. EVERY one got up to dance, including people who never do! Multiple guests commented about how good Jay was, saying he was the best DJ they have seen at any wedding or elsewhere. The most memorable moment was a surprise at the end where Jay had all the guests stand around the bride and groom and join in singing "Can't help falling in love" while he played ukulele. Such a beautiful and unexpected moment. Spinners is a top-notch company and you are definitely going to get high quality entertainment. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Spinners Entertainment are amazing. I can't recommend them enough. They are a complete service company. They did everything for us lighting(amazing) band (amazing) dj (awesome) magic mirror ( FUN!) They had everyone out on the dance floor all night till the very last song. We also hired Owls & Lions through them for the ceremony and cocktail and beginning of the wedding and I can't tell you how many guests of mine came up to me after the wedding and had nothing but great things to say about them. They were able to learn our first dance song and perform it live rather than us dancing to same old track (really gave it a new and personal for us). Oh and last but def not least def get their magic mirror it's the best one I've seen around and they were able to put our theme saying on all the pics. Jay and Kevin were absolutely phenomenal to work with. They provided numerous options for us to select to make sure our wedding was perfect. The highlight of the night was definitely the Magic Mirror. It puts the standard photo booth to shame. All of our guests kept telling us they've never seen something like the Magic Mirror and how awesome it was. There was a line to use it the entire night! As for the music, it was kicked off by Jay singing our first dance song. Our guests were extremely impressed with his voice and told us it was a great personal touch. After that, they kept the party going the entire night. The dance floor was always packed and everyone was having a blast. Spinners Entertainment is definitely the way to go for your wedding or party. They're the absolute best. read more

If you are looking for an incredible wedding experience and an easy process of planning you entertainment look no further than with Jay and Spinners Entertainment and the rest of Owl and Lions. From the moment you speak with Jay he will put any worries about planning the entertainment portion of your wedding at ease. Once we spoke I knew this was the band I was going to hire. Leading up to the wedding and the day of are a testament to his professionalism. What I can say is that the music will not disappoint either. From the ceremony all the way through the evening Owls and Lions has everyone on their feet. They played everything perfect and made the evening unforgettable. Almost 9 months post wedding everyone still talks about the band. That says something about them. I love these guys and continue to try to find ways to get them to perform again. read more

Jay was amazing! We had Owl & Lions perform during our ceremony and cocktail hour and then Jay took over as MC/DJ for the night. The guests loved it all! Everyone came up to us saying how much they loved the Owls & Lions set. They gave the perfect vibe for a great start to the evening. Check out their songs and social media and youtube. Jay was also a phenomenal DJ. He made sure everyone was dancing the whole night and had a great time! When the pandemic hit, we had to reschedule our 2020 wedding for 2021. Jay was the first person to reach out to make sure we were doing fine and that he was ready to go for the new date. Jay was also very responsive and put up with all of my random last minute emails (including my request the night before the wedding for Owls & Lions to play an extra song during our ceremony). All in all, he exceeded all of our expectations, as both a performer and a professional. We highly recommend if you are looking for wedding entertainment!! read more

My husband and I couldn't have been more happy and lucky with Jay. After losing our reception venue three weeks prior to our wedding we were frantic about finding new vendors (our previous place provided services) as well as a new venue. Jay came through for us in a huge way. He was kind, helpful, and just an all around awesome person to work with. He made the reception what we wanted, a fun party atmosphere. The music was on point (my husband and I had very few request outside of the first dance songs) and he had a wide range of selections, including Will Smith (yes my MOH requested Getting Jiggy With It). I would highly recommend Jay for weddings or any other event! read more

This band performed hits from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and now. If I was to summarize this type of playlist the band was performing, I would say "Hot Adult Contemporary". As soon as the attendees rolled into the event tent, the band started rocking away. They played a mixture of rock and pop hits throughout the entire event duration. That gave everyone the chance to view, listen, and even sing a long to their performances. What a way to bring great people together, Ed Z! The band was rocking so loud that we could even hear them outside when my friends and I went to the pumpkin patch and house to snap some photos. The original plan was for them to perform outside. But because of the rain, they had to perform inside. This weather-related change didn't hurt their spirit at all. In fact, they performed without even caring about the rain. This band no doubt has an edge over some of the other bands whom I encountered on my previous 25th cruise, which is based on their performance qualities and professionalism. Based on how they performed, it was quite easy for me to see and hear why they are always booked and only have a very limited amount of time for public events. For this case, the General Yelp Event was a private one. Overall, this is an excellent cover band, and probably the best one that I have ever heard. If you can catch them at a public event, then I recommend doing so. I also recommend booking them if you can.

From Day One, we found Matty and the MD team to be responsive, professional and easy to work with, especially as we navigated a COVID postponement. The team kept in touch with us during our long planning period, and everyone was very well organized in the leadup to the wedding day. On that day, DJ Brian arrived early and checked in with us frequently to be sure everything was to our liking. He curated a fantastic playlist and was a huge hit for his song selections during our dinner and reception. Brian was friendly, professional and clearly took the time to get a sense of our personalities and preferences. (He even incorporated a musical reference I made during our vows into our reception playlist, which was such a nice touch.) He also served as a great emcee during our toasts/speeches, was great about making announcements throughout the evening, and overall kept things fun and running smoothly. I would highly encourage you to consider DJ Brian and the whole MD Music & Entertainment team!

Look no farther. Use Matty as your DJ. Do it, do it now!! :) There were so many things about Matty…read morethat made him excellent. Really, I cannot give a high enough endorsement. Shea D and I found Matty through a family friend. We looked him up online and found that he had been a "Knot Pick" for 2014 and 2015. Until then we had been underwhelmed with the potential DJ choices for our wedding. Knowing that our family loves music and dancing, we were starting to get nervous! And as we all know, a DJ can make or break a good wedding reception! So we found Matty's website (which is linked in the Yelp description) and filled out a contact form. It involves the normal info - name, contact number, etc - but then also asked us to list at least 5 favorite songs or artists. I think that request was the first indication that Matty was a different kind of DJ; one entirely focused on ensuring that the music of your day reflects your own tastes and personalities. We submitted our contact form at about 9:30PM on a Sunday. I figured that we wouldn't get an email back for about a day or so. Wasn't I surprised when 15 minutes later, Matty called me himself and began to excitedly and enthusiastically discuss our wedding details! He was friendly, professional, and clearly knowledgable. He told us he would send us a few sample mixes for us to review over the next week before booking. When Shea D and I reviewed the samples with which Matty had provided us, we kept looking at each other saying "I like that song! Oh wait! I like that one too! And that one!" We booked Matty shortly thereafter for both our ceremony and reception. Matty was incredibly professional and friendly throughout our experience with him. I don't think it ever took him more than a few hours to respond to an email. He provided us with a detailed questionnaire, including approximately 6 pages of songs from each decade so that he could get a sense of our music preferences. He asked us which music was "must play" and which was "do not play." We knew that our crowd would love the typical "do not plays" like the Electric Slide, Celebration, and We Are Family, so we made sure to ask for those. We had very few "do not plays" - but they never came up on the day! About 2-3 weeks before the wedding, Matty met us at the venue to see the space and help us finalize a timeline. We did not have a "wedding planner" and so it was incredibly helpful to have a professional give us feedback on our schedule and provide advice regarding the flow of events. We left the meeting with a timeline for the day and a better understanding of how to use the venue. He told us where there were holes in the music that we had selected (for example, we had a first dance song, but didn't know that we needed a cake-cutting song). He asked about our theme, looked at our outfits and those of our wedding party, discussed our centerpieces, cake, and personal music preferences, and generally tried to get a feel for the entire event. I think his attention to detail is what ultimately made the music so seamless on the day. He took the time to get to know us and what we had envisioned for our wedding. As we picked songs over the intervening weeks for the "holes" that we had, he provided feedback and suggestions that improved the overall quality of the music. He also helped us to find an "upbeat" version of a traditionally slower tempo song that my parents had wanted to dance to for their special dance. On the day, he arrived early to set up and began the music exactly on time. The prelude music for the ceremony was exactly what we had envisioned. He helped our officiant to begin on time and coordinated the music perfectly. He provided us with microphones to use so that during the vows everyone could hear us (which was especially helpful to me since I had lost my voice). He announced events over the loudspeakers efficiently and effectively - helping the transitions from one segment to the next without "bogarting the mic." He took requests, which made all of our guests happy, and played one excellent song after another throughout the entire reception. He also came to find us before he announced things like the cake cutting or important dances, so that we weren't caught in conversations and were ready to go. He also warned us when there were only 5 songs left so that we got to dance the last few dances together. We got so many compliments on the music - it was so personal that many of our guests thought that WE had selected the entire playlist, when in fact we had only picked about 5-6 songs total and Matty did the rest! All in all, Matty helped to make our wedding day a seamless event that exceeded our (and our guests') expectations! We had a stellar day and a wonderful party. Thank you thank you thank you!!

They gave such clear direction to ensure the photos came out the way we wanted. All 4 of them were respectful, professional and very accommodating. We had an extensive list of photo combinations we wanted with the bridal party, our parents, wedding sponsors, and extended family and the Dean Michaels team managed to capture every single moment. I'd ask Reena last minute if we could take pictures at different locations and she would be so accommodating and the photos came out perfect. We are so glad we went with Dean Michaels. It's always tough picking through hundreds of wedding photo companies but my wife and I really liked the style of Dean Michaels which provided a good mix of dramatic and traditional photos without being too over the top. We highly recommend Dean Michaels if you're undecided who to go with for your wedding or any other events!

Where do I even start with jay, and The owls and lions. So my husband and I really wanted a band but had to stay within our budget. That's where we found Spinners Entertainment. First of all, they are worth SO MUCH MORE than what the rates are. Which means your getting more for what you pay for 100% hands down. He gave us the amazing option of accommodating us with his amazing band Owls and Lions and also his exceptional Dj'ing skills. I could not have gotten enough compliments about Owls and Lions. I had an overwhelming amount of text messages about how great they were. They played for my ceremony, (the entire thing) while people were sitting and waiting and during when the bridal party came out to a song that meant a lot to us. They did exactly what I envisioned and it was PERFECT. The cocktail hour was even better. The party before the party is what it felt like because of the great positive and uppity vibes that they just were responsible for, had filled the room. I had them for an hour of the reception and regret not having them longer. They really got the party started. Not only do they get the party started right, they get involved in the actual party! It was amazing. I would recommend owls and lions to ANYONE for ANY event not just a wedding. Simply amazing. Now for jay. The last 3 hours of our reception was all JAY Della Valle. And let me just say this guy is indescribably AMAZING at what he does. The entire time Jay was calm, cool collected. He was confident in what he was doing. He had my party going NUTS. I have never seen an entire dance floor filled and all the seats empty at a wedding. It was EXHILARATING. He fed off of our crowd and our party and everything he played was perfect. I can't thank Spinners Entertainment enough for the amazing job that they did for our wedding September 8, 2019. From my very first phone call with Jay I knew that we would end up booking with them. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does is incredible. He was so easy and fun to speak with and share ideas with. Instantly he got the vibe that we wanted for our wedding and was able to easily guide us in our selection of entertainment. We loved that they have so many entertainment options to chose from! Throughout our entire wedding day they evolved to suit the vibe of each setting. Jay and Nicole played guitar and violin out on the beach prior to and during our ceremony. Our friends and family said it was so cool to be sitting out on the beach listening to them play! Walking down the isle to the instrumentals of one of my favorite songs was a dream come true and they played it so well! For cocktail hour we had their band Owls & Lions perform. They were absolutely amazing! If you are looking for a wedding band that will be different from all the rest, book them! So many people came up and asked us during cocktail who they were and where we found them! They definitely set the tone for a fun night! Jay was the perfect MC and kept things flowing seamlessly. We kept Kevin the drummer from Owls & Lions all night so we had a hybrid DJ setup. In our opinion it was so much better than just having a DJ or just having a band. Him and Jay kept people on the dance floor all night. So many people have called to tell us that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to and I attribute much of that to Jay, Nicole and Kevin. I had never met them in person before the wedding because we live a good distance away. When we finally got to meet on our wedding day they truly already felt like friends. From the moment we started working with Jay until the day of our wedding, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. During our first call with him, we could tell how passionate he was about music, his band, and making weddings unforgettable. Jay is responsive, easy to work with, and he truly cares about the couple and their special day. We worked with him throughout the pandemic (postponing our wedding multiple times) and he did everything he could to put us at ease and accommodate our date changes. We did a mix of band and DJ and they were AMAZING. Coming from someone who has been to too many weddings, I truly believe the music is the most important part and it makes such an impact on whether guests have a good time or not. Owls and Lions played during our cocktail hour and the first half of our reception and then Jay switched it up to DJ mode for the rest of the night- this was the perfect combination! He also made sure to get everyone on the dance floor at one point for a group photo which was awesome (and the photo came out great)! Owls and Lions was hands down the best choice we made when it comes to our wedding. So many of our guests commented during and after our wedding about how talented the band was and how much fun they had (thanks to the great music)! As the bride, I am so happy to reflect on our wedding day knowing that all of our guests had a great time and thankful that I was able to dance the night away (I think I only left the dance floor once to eat)! We had Spinners Entertainment/Owls and Lions with the full band/DJ, magic mirror package for our wedding last month and could not have been happier with the experience. THEY'RE THE BEST! I have worked with Jay, Kevin and Nicole on a regular basis since 2010 when I first became and event planner and knew from the very first time I saw them play at a client's wedding that I would need them at mine. They can get a party started like no other band/DJ I have ever seen and they did just that at my wedding last month. Not only did Jay give our guests a night to remember, but he was also there to help us with ideas throughout the entire planning process whether it was logistics and timing or music selection, Jay was always available to give us advice. They made every detail of our event special and even let my Uncle sing our processional song while Jay played the guitar along with him. They were open to any crazy idea we had and made it even better than we could have imagined. We highly recommend Owls & Lions for a wedding venue or any other event. To say they met our expectations is an understatement. We have all been to hundreds of weddings and most DJ's are the same, we knew we wanted something different, something better. Our venue recommended Owls & Lions and from our first call with Jay we knew they were the right choice. Jay and Nicole felt more like guests playing music at our wedding than anything else. The whole experience was so authentic and personal, which was a goal of our overall feel. We cannot rave about Spinners (Owls and Lions) more. Right from the beginning of our wedding day, with soft acoustic music while the guests were arriving. To me walking out to a toned-down version of shipping up to Boston (awesome), and my wife walking out to Nicole playing Cannon in D on the violin. Transitioning to cocktail hour with Jay and Nicole playing upbeat acoustic and finding the perfect music for the mood. And finally, Jay turning it up and being the best DJ ever for the reception. They were the absolute best from first song to the last, we picked Irish goodbyes (an Owls and Lions original). We now have guests of the wedding turned onto their music, and we will all be going out to see them live again and again. read more

We booked Owls & Lions for our wedding and we were not disappointed! They are the best of both worlds-- a band for the ceremony/cocktail hour, playing mostly indie folk rock, and a DJ for the reception, playing dance music to get people moving. Jay, Nicole and Chris are fantastic musicians/singers/DJs, very professional and extremely easy to work with. They could really read a room and seemed to know exactly the right song to play at the right time to keep the party going. We hired Jay and Nicole to play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and Jay DJ'd our reception. I would highly recommend this duo and live music / DJ hybrid to anyone who is looking to have live music at their wedding at an affordable price. The music quality was really great and they are both such talented musicians. Our wedding guests were especially impressed with the live music they played during the cocktail hour. Jay was also so helpful during the planning process and was available to answer all of our questions and customize the music to what we wanted. read more

t was so lovely to work with Jay. Despite being very busy, which I would say is a great sign, he made time for us and accommodated all of our requests. He was happy and present during our wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better dj/mc. We also hired Owls and Lions which I heard from my guests were great! I unfortunately was too busy running around to enjoy the live music during my cocktail hour. Jay and his company was definitely a one stop shop for us! Spinners will keep the party going all night long! DJ Ollie and Kevin were perfect. Everyone was dancing form the first song to the last. No one wanted to sit down. They played a perfect mix for cocktail hour and for the reception. They also helped with setting up sound for our keyboard player during our ceremony. The magic mirror Photo Booth was a big hit. We've received so many compliments about how much fun the crew from Spinners Entertainment were. We're so happy we had them at our wedding. Book them! You won't be disappointed. read more

Jay DJ'ed my wedding this past Sunday and I can honestly say I am STILL singing! He was incredible with keeping the party going and made sure everyone was having a good time. The music selection was EXACTLY what we wanted and I still don't have a voice from belting out all my favorite songs! He sang acoustically and played the guitar during my cocktail hour, which was a huge hit with my guests. I cannot say enough good things about him and wish he could DJ every event in my life! If you want to know how amazing Jay Della Valle is, know that he made my father-in-law smile. Our photographer couldn't even get him to do that, and neither have I for like, the seven years I've been with their son. He was incredibly accommodating to our weirder requests (like walking down the aisle to "Another One Bites the Dust," for example). He made our demented vision a beautiful reality, and I cannot recommend this man and Spinners Entertainment enough. If I didn't hate kids, I'd name our firstborn after him. read more

Owls & Lions was the best entertainment we could've ever chosen! We did the hybrid mix of live band and DJ, and it was absolutely perfect -- the dance floor was packed the entire night. I've truly never been to a wedding where every single person was dancing! Our guests are still raving about how it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Jay and Spinners Entertainment are truly top-notch and made the music portion of our May '21 wedding planning so easy. The Honey Badgers provided amazing live music during our ceremony and cocktail hour. DJ Monopoli kept the dance floor packed all night and did a fantastic job playing songs that our guests of all ages loved. Jay is very personable, Sings a wide variety of music, Has an awesome voice...He treats his clients like Family, He kept in touch during our wedding planning to make sure every request was fulfilled, Which not many "vendors" do after they book you for an event. Jay and Kevin were truly amazing. Both of them together are so entertaining and together they know how to get a crowd excited and dancing. Not only does Jay know how to DJ but he sings and has an awesome voice. Numerous guest told me after the wedding that they never saw such an amazing DJ company. Jay and the Owl and Lions team were amazing! We did a live music/DJ combo for our wedding in May. We received so many compliments from our guests and everybody had a great time. Without a doubt, the BEST decision we made about my son's bar mitzvah was to have Owl & Lions perform! They got everyone dancing and celebrating even on a hot and rainy day. Their music is beyond beautiful and Jay was so easy to work with while planning the event. The incredible talent that Jay and Nicole have absolutely blew us all away.
