**BEWARE!!! DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR IF IT'S FOR WORKER'S COMPENSATION!!!**…read more Dr. Shamash is the worst doctor my mom has ever encountered! I went with her to one of her appointments to understand why she didn't like him. I saw firsthand his complete lack of bedside manner. He was unprofessional, talked over her, didn't listen to her complaints about ongoing pain and discomfort, and dismissed her concerns altogether. My mom had her last appointment with him today, and she found it completely HORRIBLE. She is still experiencing pain in her entire arm from a fall that occurred at the end of January while at work. All this doctor did was prescribe physical therapy and provide a subpar letter stating "light duty," even though there isn't such work available at her job. Dr. Shamash refused to conduct any follow-up X-rays or MRIs to investigate potential injuries to her shoulder beyond the fracture in her elbow. My mom is in her 60s; she is not in her 20s or 40s, where healing might occur within a few weeks. Something is wrong if her hand continues to swell, and her arm remains painful even after three months! She described him as rude, stating that he told her there was nothing more he could do for her and suggested she find another job. IS HE SERIOUS? She even mentioned that he sarcastically asked her if he should prescribe therapy five days a week. How this doctor has high ratings is beyond me. It must be from his colleagues and friends.

He has also helped me navigate the medical system as other, non orthopedic symptoms were revealed in the scans that I had when investigating my orthopedic pain. I went to him at first for knee pain which has been relieved by a gel injection. I later developed severe sciatica and a lower back problem which Dr. Strauchler diagnosed. He is conservative in his approach and referred me to physical therapy. When it was quickly seen to not make a change I was referred to a pain management doctor and given an epidural in lieu of surgery and it was effective. I referred a friend to Dr.Strauchler who had been in pain for two years. He was misdiagnosed by three orthopedic surgeons who told him that the pain he was encountering was in his leg. Dr. Strauhcler examined him, looked at his MRI and determined that the pain was in his hip and referred him to a surgeon who replaced my friend's hip. Dr.Strauchler also employs an excellent, competent, very professional staff who are also caring and kind. I will continue with confidence to refer anyone I know to Dr.Strauchler who is looking for a diagnosis and treatment plan for any orthopedic issue.

This will be the third surgery on my spine and the original doctor wanted to bring me in and do the same thing for a third time. Problem is the L4 L5 keep slipping. And the L4 is clearly very inflamed. Dr Kopacz went over the MRI with me and explained what's happening with my spine. He explained what needs to be done to prevent this from happening again. He was very personable and had a very sweet disposition. He never rushed, he took his time and explained everything to me. Including all the things that can go wrong. This will be a four hour surgery including having to put a cage in my spine BUT to do this he will need a vascular surgeon because they will be going in through the front then turn me over and put the screws in the back. I was most impressed with the amount of time he spent with me. One of the reasons I initially called his office was because of his education and his reviews. People really love him. I was definitely impressed with his knowledge and he explained everything in layman terms not physician terms. He makes sure you understand. I would definitely recommend Dr Kopacz.

At first I went through the pain medication route, which at the time the medical industry was handing out oxycodone like TicTac's. It seemed to work for a little while, but never got me back on my feet entirely. I'm cursed with the issue of not getting the benefit while still getting all the negative effects of the narcotic. A friend recommended Commons chiropractor center. Before I was injured, I wasn't a believer, I never thought it could help me. In fact, it took me almost 2 months of convincing actually walk into his office. I've been to two other chiropractors prior to that, and they were either too cautious or not strong enough to manipulate what they needed to because my work required a lot of heavy lifting and my muscles were tight . I have to say after the first visit, I noticed a dramatic difference. And it only got better after that. There must be 15 or 20 chiropractors between my home and commons chiropractor center. I tried a could have them until I followed my friend advice. Today I can confidently say I can live quite comfortably with minimal narcotics and I mean virtually nothing. He allowed me to live my life be there for my children, and now finally for my grandchild. Dr. Irwin has been a life changer experience for me. And if anyone knows me, they would bet that I would never say such a thing. But, he is simply the best. Address 3125 Route 10 E, Ste 1e, Denville, NJ 07834

Dr Ricci did not want to do surgery but instead wanted to wait and see if it would continue to heal. That was a much better decision and things are moving in the right direction now. He was not in a rush to just do surgery, but wanted to be patient and see how my arm healed over a longer period, which was much appreciated. He is a brilliant doctor and makes patients feel confident that he knows the right thing to do. His PA, John (Jack) Zierenberg is absolutely terrific. He responds to questions in a timely and patient manner and his efficiency makes the situation much easier. He is friendly and knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with. The office staff are also very nice and personable. I highly recommend Dr. Ricci and appreciate the time he has spent with me, and truly appreciate the quick responses from Jack.

There is one employee working for him who usurps the…read morepractice and this doctor is unaware and too disinterested to care, much more intercede to train him to ensure the patient receives the quality care the doctor represents he provides. It suits the doctor too well to be relieved of his duties and the oath he takes that one under him who is ill-equipped to play the role of doctor fancies himself one and the same as the doctor. The assistant makes sure the patient has no chance to have any private conversation with the doctor. Merely a chat with this assistant that consists of speculation run amok produces a submitted claim of making moderate level decision making, later to have to be redressed by the patient as the assistant will not own up. Huh!? This charade is over the top. No medical decision making took place. Never heard of an employee already paid by his employer sending bills when chatting with a patient. I learned not to anymore. There are other assistants in this practice but they know to limit their role. When telling this assistant a patient has a question for the doctor the assistant will not inform the doctor. When the assistant receives a writing concerning the patient's care, he does not place it in the patient's medical record as required and stonewalls when the patient requests a copy. He stonewalls when a patient informs him that information he received is incorrect. Instead he tells the patient not to contact him for care when the patient never did and there's no reason why anyone would. The assistant simply intercepts messages for the doctor and passes nothing on. I had to point out that he is not a doctor his view of himself is so distorted. No one goes to what is considered a top-rated hospital to see an assistant for treatment of a potentially life-altering injury. The motivated patient has to jump through hoops to even make an appointment with this doctor. I could not learn the scope of the doctor's practice on the initial visit the doctor has such a limited a presence. I felt like a mere punctuation mark in the appointment. I reached the conclusion a few days before my 2nd and last appointment to select another provider. I escalated and there was intervention after the first appointment to enable the 2nd but the assistant stepped up his intrusion. Then he, rather than the doctor, wrote a summary of the appointment, even thought he said nothing in it and had no legitimate reason to be there. In his summary he portrays himself as a critical player. The doctor not only should be apologizing to me for the assistant's interference and ensuring it ends. Dr. Ricci demonstrates no interest in the patient's care or outcome of an injury. Were it not for the assistant's interference I cannot say if it would be different but that he already demonstrated his indifference, shows it I would have eventually realized it. Take your time finding the right doctor and do not place any arbitrary limit on the number you need to see before finding the right one. Sometimes the first is the right one but not always and you should feel no pressure to stay with any doctor especially when treatment is time critical as is mine. This doctor has a superior attitude to others. I have seen another since who reminded me that the field of medicine is alive and well. He emphasize the importance of making up for lost time. I'm now into 4 months of a fracture that is chronically painful and has overtaken my life. The new doctor emphasized there's not a day to be wasted. Ricci's assistant said to come back in a month after my condition worsened and he even opined that no healing took place. This was after 8 weeks.
