Near Spadina and Adelaide, this Spinco location is their only downtown studio. Having just celebrated their 5 years, I've gone to this Spinco studio several times. The great thing about the Spinco chain is that the credits or membership you buy can be used at all their locations. This downtown location is a decent size where there are plenty of lockers, however, it does get a bit crowded in between classes especially if the classes are back to back. You have people trying to leave and get their belongings from their lockers while others coming in are trying to secure a locker so that they can start their class. Class wise, this is no easy workout! Expect a full body workout experience and for the instructors to push you. Of course making sure you have enough tension will help you grow. Love coming here for my cardio workout. This is a high energy, loud music and most importantly FUN spin class! My favourite instructors: Sian, Niloofar and Kirstie. If you're looking for a productive cardio session, look no more. You get a real good sweat out of this class. read more

SPINCO has multiple locations but this particular location is in downtown Toronto, at Adelaide and Spadina. The location was easy to find and has a big bright storefront with clear signage. The facility is very clean and has a very nice minimalistic and modern look. In the front, you can purchase active wear and SPINCO branded s'well bottles as well as bottled water. There is an area in front of the spin room with many lockers and cubbies to put your shoes. The women's change room is a bit small with a few more lockers inside, two showers, and two washroom stalls. The facility is stocked with towels and toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, and tampons. The service was excellent. When I walked in, I was promptly greeted by a friendly staff member. And when I entered the class, staff helped me and others in the class adjust the bike as it was my first time. The class was very energetic and upbeat. The music is a bit loud but they offer earplugs for those who want it. The instructor was great - she challenged us to work harder and her energy was contagious. I love the music and how they dim the lights with a bit of disco lighting. It was a super fun way to sweat and get fit! read more

On my very first class, I sprained a foot trying to get the cleat off the bike. Not sure what was going on but I just couldn't get my foot to detach. I ended up taking my foot out of my shoe and trying to manually pull the shoe off. Finally, an assistant was able to wrench the shoe off the bike with both hands. The next day I could barely walk on my foot. I had to pay for a chiropodist, who told me not to exercise (or stand...or walk...) for two weeks. I did give SPINCO a call about this and they said someone would reach out to me. Still waiting for that call lol. It's not the worst injury I've ever experienced and I'm lucky to have a job that allows me to sit all day, but it was very painful and has really stopped me from doing what I normally do. Class itself was fine but I definitely will not be going back. read more

I went to a Spinco 6:30PM Wednesday class. The gym is relatively small with the bikes packed together in a small room. The locker area and changing areas are also small but this is downtown Toronto, what did you expect? The staff were all very friendly and nice. When they heard it was my first time, they took the time to let me know about the class, help me adjust my bike, and adjust the shoes to the bike pedals. The instructor was very enthusiastic and nice. She always told us to do this class at our own pace and to "listen to our bodies". I never have done a class like this - it's a cycling class but with music, lights and a disco ball. But this is a very intense class - it takes a while to get used to this class, especially if you don't constantly exercise. I felt sweat on my neck and I rarely sweat. Yes it could have been because of the small room (that's blasts cool air every once in a while) but it was honestly heavy exercise. Most of the people in this class were in their early or mid 20s. Definitely will get your exercise with this class. Recommend! read more

With a big bright blue and white signage, Spinco was easy to find and conveniently located downtown near Spadina and Richmond st. The reception was clean and clutter free. I was greeted by some friendly staff and signed up for the next class. At the front they sell a little bit of merch and water bottles so if you forgot your water bottle, no worries ! A few steps down and there are a bunch of free lockers in the co ed waiting area. There's also a water bottle filling station! Don't forget to push the button to release lol. I saw a few people just leave their bottle there .. thinking that it would start automatically. Sadly we aren't there yet so you gotta push a button to release the water! The female washroom/ changeroom was also quite nice, Altho it was very small. They also have a nice shower inside the female washroom / change room and free towels. I also liked how they ask you for your shoe size and provide a pair of special spin shoes which click into the pedals! I thought this was quite unique and I liked it because my legs could feel like they're flying and just keep going without any worries of slipping off. Now onto the class and bikes! Like I mentioned earlier, i liked their set up where the shoes clip onto the pedals. The bikes were quite easy to set up and each bike came w a small Spinco towel which is key! I usually like to drape a towel over the handlebars for hygienic reasons and also for Better grip. Another unique feature of Spinco is that there are a set of dumbbells at the back of each bike. In the middle of the set, our instructor actually included a few arm exercises. I thought this was quite handy and helpful to incorporate some arm and shoulder exercises so that the students would get a full workout! The volume of the music was a little bit too loud for me. Sometimes I would have trouble hearing what the instructor said even though she seemed to be full of energy and demonstrated the actions (loved that)! Of note, there are ear buds at the front , so if you're not used to super loud music, pick up a pair of ear plugs ! Overall I liked the class because it was was full of energy and I liked how they incorporated some arm exercises w dumbbells. There was a lot of standing biking movements and what I think are supposed to be pushups or more arm exercises to give one a well rounded workout. I usually like to get pushed and I also like to sweat a lot during cardio so this class definitely hit those goals! Spinco definitely has fun and popular classes since the room is usually quite full! read more

I really enjoyed my spin experience in Spinco location in Adelaide and Spadina. From the time that I walk in I was greeted with very friendly and helpful staff with big smiles. The facility is very clean, new and sparkling. Several automatic lockers you can use by automatically setting the lock combination when it is open, very intuitive, you don't need to carry locks, keys around. In case you forget your combination staff has special ways to open them. There is an area in front of spin room with several lockers. Women's change room is a bit small with 2 washrooms and 2 showers. The spin room is for 42 people max. I have never been to a light dimmed spin class like this before, music was pretty loud from time to time after the class I learned that they were offering ear plugs if anyone wanted, that could have been handy for some of the loud songs. Although the loudness was bothering me a bit at the beginning I quickly realized that it helped me to sing some of songs loud myself without bothering anyone!! Our instructor was very energetic and engaging. The dimmed lights, small disco ball and disco lights gave the place an interesting vibe. You need to were special shoes for these bikes which can be also borrowed from the facility, it clips on to the bike. There are small 2 pound weight on each bike, at some point we did some arm exercises, first I though 2 pounds were pretty small but then when we continued they started to get really heavy and I was happy that they were only 2 pounds to start with. Overall I enjoyed the class, music, atmosphere the whole experience a lot. Super friendly staff. They were definitely created an interesting spin class experience in this place, good job !!! read more

I have been spinning for 7 years and have tried a plethora of studios. I actually went to this same studio before it was SpinCO and let me tell you, the fittout for this studio is 10x better. The gym is clean and modern. Small and intimate and inviting and the staff is INCREDIBLY helpful. They take the classes and know the instructors and are able to provide honest and accurate advice on classes and what you may or may not like based on your music preferences and workout style. They are also keen to help you if you are both new to spinning and new to SpinCO. The app is not functioning so well, so the process of signing up is a bit annoying but, I am hoping this is only temporary. I have only taken a handful of classes but, I have yet to have an instructor disappoint met. Each one has been very very different but, each one is very well trained and music oriented and each time, you feel like you are having the greatest night out in the club ever. The amenities: the locker situation is quite good, in comparison to other gyms. It is open concept leaving a great deal of room for people to move around without touching sweat on sweat ( and there is a great deal of sweat). Lol The washrooms, while small, do not seem to be too overcrowded. Hopefully, this is the norm! Overall: if you want to Sweat like you have never sweat before and dance your heart out to epic beats - and feel like you are supporting a great Canadian Company - SpinCO is the place to go! read more
