There is NO way we are getting in here with these babies without crushing someone, them, or being shamed on to the street by hipsters. The buggies did need to be broken down and stored downstairs -- which would have been fine had I not timed this entire operation perfectly down to the minute to have mine sleeping through brunch -- only to be awoken upon the breakdown process. Anyway, tl:dr the guys were really accommodating despite not being terribly child-friendly, and I really appreciated that immensely. We then took up the beautiful booth with plenty of room for everyone, ordered a round of cocktails (the Bloody Mary and Gin &Tonic were gorgeous ways to start), a smattering of Sunday roasts and pickles and were on our merry way to an absolutely excellent meal. Beef, lamb, puddings, cocktails, more wine, it was all on point and truly enjoyable. The place was stuffed each and every moment we were there, but we were never rushed and thus kept ordering and enjoying and finally once Peppa was no longer able to hold my son's attention we departed full and happy and full of Sunday sweetness. I won't be taking my child back here for my own sake of enjoyment, but I'd love to come back with friends or on a date. You can upgrade for another pound and get a couple more falafel pieces, but you probably don't need to; this is one filling lunch. The only thing stopping a 5-star review is the mess up in the ordering; I asked for the large, was charged for the large, but didn't notice that they only put the 3 pieces in my wrap until I got back to the office to eat. However, I didn't feel ripped off, as I said this was great value even at the extra pound. There isn't exactly a choice in what you get, besides the salad and sauce, but what they give you is top notch. We happened to be around the Gloucester Green square and the row of stalls on the opposite side caught my eye. The Falafel House was the one on the very end, and as soon as I heard other customers ordering in a foreign language, I knew it would be good. Paid £3.50 for falafel and baba ganoush, which seems like a steal after being in London for a few weeks. The falafel was hot out of the fryer (unlike another reviewer, mine weren't greasy at all!), veggies were fresh and crisp, all in a chewy thin wrap. I also got hot sauce, which, combined with the onion, made for a spicy kick. I had to take a picture before I left, and the guy behind the counter even posed! I'm in love. I would come back to Oxford just for this adorable place.
