They have a phone number but no one answers and the mailbox is full. Hmmm. Wonder if they are still in business?

Everything tastes fresh and homemade, but the eclairs are on another level huge, perfectly filled, and absolutely delicious. The donuts are soft and flavorful, and the pastries melt in your mouth. You can tell they've been serving the community for years with pride. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It's one of those bakeries that brings back that classic, hometown feel. Definitely go early for the best selection they sell out fast for a reason!

Got my lips all fixed for the caramelized cheese blueberry croissants which I plan to pick up next week. Those things are decadent. Stopped in this lovely little bakery to pick up a couple of items instead. I got a PB&J donut and a Boston Cream. Met the owner, Mark, and he and I had a chance to talk for a bit. Nice guy. Lovely donut shop. We talked about wiggly cakes and scones...and Crumbl. They have a few more donuts I plan to try - including strawberry with coconut next time. The donuts are larger than the grocery store variety. They sell other breakfast delights plus coffee too, and have been there for a while. Terrific member of the merchant community. The service was friendly and the ambiance is warm. They are in a strip mall that's essentially empty but for them. Parking on-site and abundant.

UPDATE REVIEW DustyPending…read moreDusty My son and I visited this establishment 3 months ago, I was treated so disrespectfully by the manager because of the iced coffee I ordered was pure sugar no espresso. They "fixed" the issue still was not good, but I left with the coffee any way. We decided to go to the winter celebration last night November 29. We had to pay $38.00 admission. The vendors were all packed up and gone. No hot chocolate, or cookies to decorate yo be found. Hay rides were not available. I decided to talk to Katherine the manager to see if I could get my admission money back. I explained to her that there was nothing open all the stuff was gone. She proceeds to tell me that it should all be available until 9. I tell her that it was all packed up. I told her that I have cancer and I can not walk back down there to try to figure out their process again as I had already walked down there to no avail. She to say the least was of no help. We walked away 38$ poorer and did not get any of the attractions promised for the price of entry. Needless to say 2 trips to this establishment and disappointed twice by the managers that should be there to help. Thank you Katherine, for not returning my 38$ in which I spent for nothing to see. I at least could have used that money to purchase food. Needless to say I will not go back for a third lest down.

They not only had hand dipped ice cream and soft serve, to include every variation of sundae and milkshake and "blend," but they offered a lunch and breakfast menu too! They make all of the ice cream and most of the treats in-house. They also partner with local businesses to sell things like custom straw cups and lotion. The cashier was super patient as we sorted out our order, and they will bring your order to you at a table outside or to your car. Outside there are picnic tables, cafe tables, Adirondack chairs, and a swing set for the kiddos. The ice cream was soooo delicious! I got a blend, and there were huge pieces of candy included. Definitely worth a stop if you are nearby!

Rose Ave Bakery has been on my radar since early this year! I finally made it to DC this weekend…read moreand this was naturally our first stop. They are open until 1 PM on Saturdays, we reached at around 11:30 AM and I was half hoping for them to be out of most items. Fortunately, even though they were super packed, we were able to find all of the items we were looking for - thanks to the hard working staff as they continue to make their pastries until closing - unlike so many other bakeries these days that make a certain amount and call it a day! Now to the food, everything we had was absolutely phenomenal! I am not a donut person but I loved theirs as they were very flavorful and weren't too sweet. I definitely prefer their Ube and Pandan over the Black sesame donut. The Matcha chocolate croissant and the Ube Kouign Amann were my favorites of the bunch! I cannot recommend them enough, this will surely be my first stop every time I am in DC!

The space is a pretty cute, modern café with cherry blossom décor and a great mix of sweet and savory pastries. We honestly tried almost everything Garlic Scallion Bun - Soft, lightly toasted with just the right crunch. Inspired by a Taiwanese garlic bun, it was super easy to eat and one of my favorites (9/10). Matcha Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - A rectangular croissant absolutely loaded with matcha and chocolate, topped with matcha powder. It was almost a bit too heavy on the matcha for me, and the bitterness overpowered the chocolate. Banana Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - Banana cream on top with banana chocolate inside. Pretty straightforward--tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a banana chocolate croissant. Ube Cheese Kouign Amann - Unique sweet-and-savory combo. The ube adds a subtle sweetness while the cheese gives it a creamy balance. Rich and slightly dense, and I just wished there was a bit more filling to balance the pastry. Miso Garlic Salted Bread - One of my top picks. Savory, buttery, and paired with a slightly sweet brioche-like base that balances everything really well. Elote Bread - Corn-topped savory bread with a nice sweetness and texture. This and the miso garlic bread were tied for my favorites. Strawberry Passionfruit Kouign Amann - Fruity and rich, but a bit filling overall. I just wished there was more filling to balance the pastry. Sugared Donut - Simple and classic, just a soft, sugary donut done right. Drinks: * Strawberry Matcha & Mango Matcha - Both layer fruit puree with matcha, but the flavors stay quite separate rather than blending together. * Vietnamese Coffee with Cold Foam - Strong coffee base with strawberry-flavored cold foam. It's pretty sweet overall with less of a coffee-forward taste, but still smooth and enjoyable. * White Mocha Latte - More coffee-forward compared to the sweeter drinks, which I actually preferred. Overall, I loved my visit--great spot for both savory and sweet pastries with creative flavor combinations and a lot to try. I definitely preferred the savory items over sweet here particularly the garlic scallion bun!
