The house was a great fit for our family however it was literally crawling with bugs (roaches, centipedes, millipedes, silverfish)! I called the office and left a message when no one answered. I NEVER heard back from them! It was so bad in my youngest adult son's bedroom downstairs that he couldn't even sleep in the room. He ended up sleeping on the downstairs couch all week. My husband called them towards the end of the week and it took 8 tries before anyone even answered the phone. The house was one of the most expensive we have ever rented on SML. You would think there would be some pest control at the house!

CB Sales & Rentals were the agency that managed my rental home. My home is a luxury home and…read morerenting it out was a necessity due to upkeep. I don't know where to begin except to say it's been several years and I am still repairing things after a major disaster, renting to a family that ignored the contract. I felt I had no support from CB Rental. First red flag was an appliance that needed replacing which was replaced within 48 hrs. That didn't seem suitable to the agent and I was told, " you pick one out or I will." Yes, the renter had a loss from the appliance not working , but they didn't get renter's insurance, as suggested . The renter could have been seen as being distinguished and privileged, and a good prospect as a renter, however they showed no respect for my home. Animals ( pets) were slipped into my home and caused a lot destruction. I asked the renter to leave and unfortunately many household things seemed to have gone with them.. I practically begged the agent to do a repeat walk through of my home after it was vacated, they refused. They also refused to share any pictures they had taken during the renters exit period. that clearly showed damaged. Many items were destroyed. I asked the agent to hold the deposit, that didn't happen. I got a check for less than 50.00. In summing up my review, this experience was one of the most difficult I ever faced. I regret ever meeting the agency owner. I will never understand the 5 star reviews that I've seen posted in their site.

I got called and made the switch despite it costing about $2,500 more. I had multiple employees tell me it was worth it due to the beach access for the little kids and it was the main reason we booked it. Not once was I told the water levels were so low the beach was empty despite me calling multiple times to discuss best options for little kids. I called right away and was met with defensiveness despite the maintenance guy showing up and being more personable than the staff as he expressed he would be frustrated as welll. Come to find out, the people who rented Mystic Mountian booked it later for 1/2 the asking rental price, meaning we paid about $6,000 more than the house we unbooked for WORSE water access. I asked for a partial refund and did not get anything besides $50 back due to the basement not having many of things it said it had (gaming system, speakers, etc). To know water levels were so low most the dock was useless after talkingn me into it being the reason I should pay more is dishonest business practice and to do nothing about it is ridiculous. I'm too lazy to go to small claims court in another state but I should as they continue to false advertise with pictures that are not true due to water levels. See pics...the full pond is the ad and the other 2 and video are what I got. We made the most of our time but the way it was handled was dishonest and they did absolutely nothing to make up for it even admit it wasn't how to handle the situation. It's quite a shock when not forewarned. Their lease info released 1 week prior says to check that it's not too shallow before diving in. They referenced that as me being forewarned. The way that is written implies there is water, not a completely empty beach being shown as full on the pics. The same beach I called and asked about many times. Disgraceful operation and I rent a lot and have never written a negative review.
