Roy Spigner Cut a tree down in my yard two weeks ago after i told him that i did not want him to do it n suggested he came back on the 5th to further discuss. He cut the tree down anyway and left it in my yard. I had to get my regular yard person to come collect it. Today 9 September he shows up to "collect his money". WARNING! Absolutely DO NOT HIRE Roy Spigner. He knocked on my door and inquired bout a tree in my yard that needed cutting down. I agreed to the quoted price. He parked a dump truck in front of my home the next night. That night someone ran into the dump truck _ minor damage. So the next day Roy was at my home inquiring bout payment because he said "I need to go rent a trailer to haul off your tree debris once it has been cut down" since the dump truck was hit, so I paid him more than half of the quoted price. Roy never rented a trailer and he never came back to complete the job. I had to hire someone else to complete the job we agreed upon. The dump truck was left on my property for 30 days. I kept calling & texting him bout coming back to complete the job he was hired for, he ignored text messages and calls. When 30 days hit, I called Irmo police dept code enforcement to see what I could do regarding the dump truck. They called and text Roy and he still would not respond. So it's been 30 days and the dump truck considered abandoned on my property, so I posted it on FB Marketing for sale. Roy showed up at my house that night same day of my posting and ask that I take it down. I told him if it didn't get moved tonight it would be sold tomorrow.That was the only way I got his attention/response from him by posting the dump truck for sale. Roy Spigner knocked on my door because he noticed some tree work that was needed at my house. knowing that it had to be done I agreed for him to do the work. Long story short he trimmed a branch, blew my roof off and gave me a story that he would be back tomorrow to finish the job that we agreed upon. He asked if he could be paid because he had to pay his help. He left left his crappy tools and all the debris and a dangerous dead pine just resting on a branch. Roy came back later in the week to grab his tools and left without saying a word, leaving me with all the debris and a dangerous dead pine tree to deal with. I left him messages and texts saying that I would work with him. I haven't heard anything from Roy Spigner. For all of the small companies trying to get a start, Roy Spigner has completely ruined your chances for doing any work for me. So don't even think about knocking on my door. read more

Do NOT let this guy do work on your property. I made the mistake of having him do work for me after he was going door to door looking for work. he is extremely ill equipped. He didn't even have a ladder. We agreed on a price to cut 4 trees. Left and didn't communicate for a day. I figured he flaked out of the job until he showed up 8 hours late the next day. He didn't remember which trees he was supposed to cut down. He would have dropped one of the trees on my neighbors house if I hadn't spoken up and said the tree was coming down just in time for his partner to pull it out of the way. I had to constantly clean up behind him. He left trash all over my yard. Wouldn't return calls or texts. He lied to me twice on the phone saying he was done with the job and demanding I pay him just for me to find upon returning home the trees are still standing. He didn't cut down any trees in segments, instead just dropping them all at once. He destroyed my landscaping and cut down another tree that was the centerpiece of my front yard. he broke my mailbox. the list goes on and on. To top it all off, when he was finally finishing up after almost 2 weeks to do a 2 day job he accused me of talking disrespectfully to his girlfriend and then threatened me. the man is absolutely crazy off his rocker. 0 of 10 Would not recommend. read more
