Dr. Elisabeth Gomori is a superb doctor, a rare gem! I have been seeing her as my primary care…read morephysician and my cardiologist for nine years and have been completely satisfied with the care I've received. Dr. Gomori doesn't rely exclusively on lab results to form a diagnosis. Instead, she listens to my symptoms and concerns and uses this information along with the results of lab tests she ordered to make her diagnosis. She is kind and caring, responds promptly to e-mails, and is able to explain complex medical information in ways I understand. She is well-connected in the medical field and can refer other physicians who are not in her area of expertise. When my partner recently experienced a medical crisis and Dr. Gomori was vacationing in Europe, she e-mailed me every few days to inquire about my partner who is also her patient. The wait times in her office can be long, but every medical visit with Dr. Gomori is unequivocally worth the wait! Carol P., June 3, 2025

I have seen appointments double-booked and am not sure if this is part of the reason why, or if everyone moves extremely slowly. In addition, the office staff is very rude. I don't know any resident of New York City who can afford to wait 2 hours for an appointment they booked, but if you are willing to wait, she's a very nice lady.

The ER doctor told me that because this cut was deep and complicated, we should call the on call plastic surgeon. I was nervous and emotional when Dr. Peck arrived but he was wonderful. The two stars is for the truly amazing care that Dr.Patel offers at this practice. After being highly recommended I scheduled an apt 4 months in advance to switch my PCP. The appointment was efficient and covered all of my many needs. I also got blood work in-house and then was sent on my way. Shortly after I was billed over $400 for my visit as the service was considered not covered by my insurance. Note: I had called and cleared the dr by insurance prior to my visit. After calling my insurance they said they would work with the Hackensack to adjust, after a few months it was adjusted again but still over $200. I repeated the process again it was $152. My insurance is still confirming that this should be covered as it is my annual well visit by a PCP. I am still receiving bills however when I sign into mychart there is zero balance, yet on Hackensack billing portal there is the $152 balance. When I call Hackensack billing they also say I have no balance, yet they are still mailing me bills for all difference amounts ($15.45, and $152). It has now been over 4 months and I still cannot get the insurance and Hackensack group to align and am unfortunately never going to be able to see Dr.Patel again due to these struggles.

I had an urgent situation and called for an hour starting at 8:00AM. Someone did not answer until 9:30AM. They said they would call me back and hours went by. I called again at 2:00PM because their machine says out from 1-2 for lunch. It is now 3:00 and their office is "still closed." I suppose since they close at 4:00, I will not be getting my call back today. 2- They only accept cash (sketchy and terribly inconvenient considering its 2016). Oh, and fax only as well. 3- Some of the women at the front desk are nice but others are completely rude. 4- Every time I have ever gone to see the doctor, I arrive 15 minutes early. I wind up getting seen an hour or so after that. Again, not the doctors fault, but the people at the front desk. Unfortunately I will have to switch doctors because this just isn't working for me.

I came here for an annual eye exam. I actually haven't gone through a comprehensive exam for years…read moreafter my previous doctor stopped accepting my insurance. My parents came to see Dr. Roberts since COVID and praised their facilities. I finally decided to try coming after my parents' good experiences. I'm actually changing my insurance next year, so I don't think I will bother coming again even if they accept the new one. Multiple things I don't like: - They don't accept FSA/HSA cards. They charge a fee for regular credit cards too. I think it's so unreasonable for health facilities to accept insurances but not insurance payment cards. Everyone in this community is just used to paying things by cash and no one bothers with insurance cards. I can't tolerate a provider that doesn't match my lifestyle needs. - Crowded and long waits. When my parents first going during COVID, maybe less people went to non-urgent doctor visits, but they were saying how the waiting room is very spacious. When I went, I spent 3 hours at the clinic and most of my time was spent waiting. I was literally bumping shoulders with other patients sitting and waiting there. - Waiting room window. It's so sunny in the afternoon. Their blinds are insufficient to block out light. When your pupils are dilated (or anyone else there with eye problems), it's not healthy to be sitting in such a bright environment. There's not that many places you can look away to since the window lights up the whole waiting room and would reflect off of the furniture. I literally spent so much time just staring at my own lap. - Getting handled by multiple people. If I remember correctly, I went through maybe 5 different people for each step of the examination (plus plenty of waiting in between) including Dr. Roberts. It didn't make me feel like they were specializing steps. It just made me feel like I was getting whisked around from person to person. I didn't know who to look out for to go to my next procedure or who in general is taking care of me. In fact, I can't even tell who is Dr. Roberts until I finally met a woman who introduced herself as such. I literally haven't seen her around the clinic all afternoon except when she came to see me. - Rude attitude. My discussion with the reception around FSA/HSA cards was fun enough. I also don't like how they don't explain what needs happen at each step. I literally haven't been to an eye doctor in 5+ years. Don't complain about me hesitating over where to put my head and stuff. I keep having memories of a previous eye clinic where the machine blows a puff of air in your eyes to measure pressure or something and I hated it. I can't help but think about that whenever my eyes get really close to any apparatus and naturally jerk away. I can apply eye drops myself by looking into a mirror and placing accurate drops, so I don't do as well when people just drip things from mid-air. I don't appreciate hearing a rude comment about how I am sensitive. Regardless if I am or not, you should be treating patients with TLC.
