There is a FAMILIENFEST INTERNATIONAL at the place. It's great, it's for the kids and the family and it's for free. Lock out for it, because it had in the past not been very well promoted beforehand! The event connects to the annual ILB (Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin), a big literature festival in Berlin, running for about a fortnight. Therefore that Sunday in September is about BOOKS for kids of different age, books presented by their international authors. Bits of texts will be read in German by well-known readers or even actors, though parts of it will be read by the authors themselves in original language. Kids and their adult company are welcome to ask questions to the writers. Additionally, there'll be running non-reading activities within the house and outside and inexpensive food and soft-drinks can be purchased.

It is not natural and also small but very quite and relaxing. For the summer, I recommend the river beach and with the kids, especially during August, they set up an educational and cool event. This year the theme is year 1517 and from chess to archery and making old time jewelry to doing some field work. Children in school will not be bored. Have an extra cloth incase getting wet ( water activity sometimes but during summer, most of the time) and bringing snack and drinks for children are the must. Not only the paid attraction, they do have multiple playground at the front and also the back of the building for free, kids love them. We've done a few of these in different countries and each one has pros and cons. The only real con to this spot is that each person has a tube shaped safety line attached to a continuous cable so... A. you have to throw the safety line to get it over the high spots. B. if someone is slow or freaks and needs a rescue you cannot pass them. and C. you can't leave a course early. I really liked that the park is completely in the shade. The food is okay and reasonably priced. There are a few obstacles I haven't seen at other parks: A snowboard that you ride across, a barrel with a saddle. Each of the different routes ends with a zip-line. These zip-lines have nice big landing areas. We'll be back. If you go, don't expect anyone to speak English, we had help from a few other guests but we were able to figure it all out and everyone was super nice anyway.
