Rachel and Travis really are the owners that care about making this a place that people love to visit and return again and again. During the years we have stayed here, there have been many regulars that have not returned and I know one problem has been with the previous owner. Now is the time to give it another try and I am sure you will be more than happy with the "New Spider Shores". We have just returned from our recent stay and I have to admit that this has been probably the best stay in a long time. Even all the little improvements have not gone unnoticed. One important thing Travis told me that I feel tells a lot about the direction of the resort. He said "it is only going to get better" and I think that says it all. For us, we like the setting and the lake itself and it just adds so much having owners like Rachel and Travis. We wish them a ton of success in this new adventure!

They also have a campground (no tents allowed) with both seasonal and turnaround sites. All but one turnaround site have full hook up. A new pool is being installed in 2021. They have free use of kayaks, canoes, water toys and swim platform. They have their own private boat launch. Great owners. Planned camp activities change weekly and they post a schedule. GREAT ice cream in the lodge. Has a guest laundry, fish cleaning house and they sell bait, ice and small snacks/pizzas.

We really enjoy the cabin and all of it's amenities. When we are not out hunting, we have been able to go canoeing, watch the northern lights, and visited friends and family in and around Grand Rapids. Peg and Tim are great hosts and very responsive to any needs that have arisen during our stays. The cabins are beautiful, and the lake views are impressive, such a great place! We wish we could live there!

The refrigerator is small and the freezer is froze up totally. The refrigerator freezes most food inside! There's plenty of room for another fridge if they would get rid of the stools underneath the counter. 2. Way too much junk as in stools, chairs, water equipment for a TWO PEOPLE MAX cabin. 3. The lake is not a fishing lake. Literally no fish! The boats they provide are half sunk in the water and are of poor condition. PS: If you are city folks who don't fish or don't do much on the water and want to enjoy the sound of the loons and sitting around using their VERY GOOD WI-FI this fine. Day trips are nice and maybe necessary.
