As we arrived, we got a bit confused as there's 2 other Indian restos on both sides ..close to each other, but this one had the Most people and it was Packed! The location is a bit sketchy and the place looks like it needs some serious re-modelling but it didn't stop us from giving it a try! Service: the guy was very cool and he got our order really quick .. everything was made fresh and on the spot. The Food is traditionally made in their clay oven ! That was the most impressive things I've seen although it's a major fire hazard it was was changed the way food flavours taste surreal !!! Food: Delicious fresh and flavourful wooow! Tandoori Chicken Was Spicy as Hellll but it was just deeelish the taste of charcoal woooow it was mouthwatering Their naan bread was fresh fluffy and delicious Their Shahi Paneer 5++++++ wooow I was super happy Rice was Fresh and fluffy The food is quite delightful and totally worth every penny! The price is super awesome a whole chicken tandoori comes with 4 sides choice of rice and naan bread for just 15$ Overall, we enjoyed this place very much and we will be back again for Sure 100% recommend it!!

Easy to find as it's on the main boulevard of sources. It's on a strip mall with a few restaurants. Parking There is lots of parking In there lots Ambiance It's a small restaurant but you do not fill cramped. Very simple déçour but the smell when you first walk In you know you are in for some good food. Food I order the butter chicken. It was super tender and the sauce was so flavourful. Wished I had more bread for the dipping. Tandorri chicken was so moist and bursting with flavours and spices. Shahi paneer we order two times as this is our go to dish. Boy we were in for a treat . It was bang on. The flavour the spices and the sauce.

The spouse of our friend had made…read morereservations over a week in advance, but the restaurant had no record of it, but since the dining room was empty, they were able to accommodate the ten of us. After some time with the menu, and pitchers of water having been delivered to the table, the server came to take our orders, food and drinks together. The appetizers were delivered before most of the drinks, with one guest not receiving their appetizer until the mains were being delivered. The server had a bit of a hard time remembering who had what, but with some direction, everything was delivered eventually. The food was nice. We had the Lahori fried fish, nicely spiced, fish cooked really well. My partner and I shared the Combo 2 with white meat chicken kahari, beef kebab, and garlic naan. The chicken was cooked very well. The curry paste was tasty. The kahari was served in a large metal bowl, very nice touch. I really enjoyed the kebab as well. The naan was factory made, not fresh. That was a bit disappointing. My fraise rose was delicious. My partner had a mango lassi and said it was acceptable but a bit too thick. The meal had a good spice level throughout. The portions are generous and very filling. Good value for money, however the menu does not make it clear that most dishes seem to be intended for sharing. At the end of the meal, it took some time for dessert to come out (included with the meal), and it seems only some people were asked if they wanted tea or coffee, our side of the table was not. Towards the end, the server simply stood at the other end of the table and asked, generally, if anyone wants anything else. The service might have been better on a busier day, but at 1pm on a Sunday, it was lacking a bit, and we felt a little bit like an inconvenience, even though we were the only people there. We would go back, just maybe for an evening date.

We ordered three appetizers, naan, and one main course. The items came out quickly and hot, and the waitstaff checked with us when each item came out to make sure we liked it. The interior is clean…read moreand minimal with a lovely raised intimate cushion-seating area on the side (great for groups). We ordered the Samosa Chaat to share as starters which was plenty and probably the best we have had in Montreal. For our mains, we had the Lamb Karahi (the most popular dish as mentioned by the waitress) and Chicken Jalfrezi. The chicken jalfrezi was delicious and a good portion. However, having tried many a Lamb Karahi, I was not impressed with the quality of the meat and the taste. The pieces of lamb were large and mainly fat/bones - not what you would expect of a traditional lamb karahi. On the plus side, the Naan bread was perfect and always came fresh and hot so that was great. Prices are reasonable and the location is quite convenient (there is some parking directly in front of the restaurant). Overall, good experience and will most probably return but will not be ordering the Lamb Karahi this time.

We ordered 1/2 Kg Mutton Karahi, 1/2 Kg Chicken Karahi, Palak Paneer, Chicken Seekh Kebab, Fish Pakoras and Chai. Oddly enough for something that is their most popular item, the Mutton Karahi was average. It was mostly bones and almost no meat, definitely not half a kg and tasted alright. The Palak Paneer and Chicken Seekh Kebab were 100% reheated and tasted like food that had gone bad. The Chicken Karahi was excellent. Tasted fresh, flavourful and authentic. Fish pakoras were good and fresh. Tea was authentic Chai. The server was chirpy and very helpful. She was interactive and her excitement was contagious. Part of the reason this rating is three stars and not two is because of her! The restaurant was clean and comfortable. However for a place where the food is so Hit or Miss, I would not recommend it to others.

We are regulars at another Indian restaurant nearby so I was initially a little hesitant to go try another restaurant. I walked in, wanting to look at the menu and the lady working there just told me to sit down and that she'd bring me a menu. Right off the bat, I found her to be a little too pushy. We weren't so hungry so we knew we wanted to share a Thali. We asked what the difference between a veggie thali and the super veggie thali and she said the different was just that you get to choose the dishes in the super on and in the regular one, they are pre-selected. For 3$ extra, we decided we were fine with the surprise. This displeased the woman who said "one thali is not enough for two people". I explained that we were just looking for a quick snack but shouldn't have had to even do this. When the food arrived (very quickly), we enjoyed our meal. The chickpea masala was our favourite and the naan was fresh and delicious. I don't think that everything was fresh because the food came ridiculously fast but I think they probably made it that morning and just rewarmed it. I got the feeling that we were being judged for not ordering enough. The samosas were 2/3$ to eat there so we decided to just get 2 to go (2/1$) because we weren't so hungry and wanted to eat them after. She seemed to be upset by this. Overall, we found the food to be delicious but the service lacking. For 12$ tax and tip in, it makes for a yummy and cheap meal. Food: 5/5 (We didn't like one of the dishes but the fresh naan made up for it) Value:5/5 Service:1/5 Atmosphere:2/5

The guy who seemed like an owner said "I made this for you" with nice smile, so thought it was on the house! Is this real?! Food was good, didn't mind their slow service (it's small family run resto), but this is unacceptable. Felt something's weird when heard the total price (had to go pay at the cashier because he never came out of the kitchen). Seriously.. Glad that we asked for the bill & the menu (he was slightly hesitant) even after payment to figure this out (at home). The menu says any order includes naan or rice, but we paid for them. Feeling aweful about having given good tip when he asked "how much tips (would you like to add on the bill)?" This can't happen. Also, anyone wants to pay $1.50 + tax ($3 for two on a plate) for one gulab jamun? or was it another type of rip-off? Guess that's why all the tables were empty except two including ours.

Someone save this restaurant and put it out of it's misery, please!…read moreSummary: Bland, dry, and cold... lol kind staff though, at least. ~Lunch Buffet~ Full "red" chicken legs. Meat was actually VERY tender, not dry at all! It would have been perfect had it not been... COLD!? Their batter fried coliflower would have also been perfect, had it not been... COLD?! Yes.. both of these dishes were fkn cold lol I know they opened for lunch at 11 am, we got there at 12. I guess the food was sitting there for an hour... such a shame. At least their sauces were hot, I tried all of them, but they were all very very very bland! I tried adding salt to try to enhance their flavors, but then all I tasted was salt, eventhough I didn't put much... which to me it means there wasn't much seasoning to begin with, so sad. The sauces also ALL had a thick built up layer ontop of them, that was very obvious when I went to grab a spoon full lol that was not a good sight... And the meat in all the sauces were DRY. Very sad. There was one sauce dish that actually wasn't bland. It's chicken meat chunks were still all very dry, but at least the sauce had a taste... a familiar taste actually... too familiar... Tasted exactly like costco's Thai Sweet Chili Sauce... which isn't indian at all! It was the only spicy dish from their selection, but there was so much sugar in it, that you barely notice it's spicy. so sad, but out of everything, it was the only sauce I prefferred, sadly. They had a tray of three additional dipping sauces, 2 white and one dark brown. the white were ok, but the brown seemed like straight up HP sauce, and I was baffled as to why it was there, but makes sense since they use alot of sweet thai chili sauce in one of their chicken dishes mentioned earlier... lol They had 2 diff rices. 1 a plain white rice, which I found was made well. 1 seasoned rice, which looked like basmatti rice, yet... fkn bland as all hell, no flavor and no point in being there... I didn't try their salads, since it was just cut up uncooked veggies, but none of them looked rotten or anything, so they at least got that right. Their chickpea salad was overly vinegary. Their potato salad, I didn't try, but others at my table who did, didn't enjoy it. There was one dish I tried off the plate of someone else at my table. They said it was too bitter, and they couldn't eat it, so I gave it a shot. Looked like just a bunch of cooked chopped veggies. I took a small spoonful bite, and was overwhelmed by it's bitterness lol Hey... at least it wasn't bland lol There was some sort of small seeds in it, and when i bit into one, the bitterness became even more overwhelming... I don't believe anyone eats that dish as is, there's no way lol It just wasn't made right, a mistake in there somewhere.. and the cooks are clearly not tasting anything they make, they're just sending it out like an automation. So sad. For desert, I tried one of their sweet donut balls. This was... dam, like I have a sweet tooth, I love sweets, but this was too much lol The syrop pool it was sitting in completely penerated the outer layer of dough, and overwhelmingly saturated the ball. Biting into it was really not enjoyable. They should have just baked each ball in the oven, doesn't matter if the bottom was flattened, and just leave the syrop there on the side for customers to drizzle ontop. That would have been excellent. Too bad. The staff, eventhough they speak very politely to us, they were very lazy in the beginning. It was my mom's birthday, and she kept on taking out empty plates and putting them in the basket up front because she didn't want to sit down with a bunch of dirty plates at the table. They didn't come to do it... the staff was just sitting at front talking to eachother.. and there weren't even that many customers, place was empty. I was happy when they finally gave us more water, and then kept on refilling our bottles like normal, because in the beginning they were really neglecting that, so i was leaving our bottles at the edge of the table so they could clearly see them, since they weren't staying at reach to see if we needed anything. Took them awhile, but they got around to it at the end. This place has very high ceilings, and large windows to bring in alot of sunlight. Personally, I liked the fact that they kept the lights off and just used natural sunlight. Would have been nicer if they used reflective decor to really bring in more sunlight, and make that a special feature, so it doesn't look like they're just being cheap on electricity XD They never came to our table for the check.. I had to go upto the front desk to pay, I didn't like that one bit. The guy politely asked me how was the food. I admitted to him that it was bland, and we laughed together, because he KNEW what I was talking about... Which makes it even more sad, because he knows there's a problem with the quality of the food, but doesn't do anything about it. Hope my 10$ tip helps them...
