Indian food is one of my all time favourite cuisines, and of the many, many Indian restaurants I have been to in my life, Spice in Templepatrick comes out as winner by far. The restaurant building is an old school which has been converted, and the inside and out are both tastefully decorated to preserve the charm of what the building once was. Upon walking inside, you are promptly greeted and shown to your table, or to the seating area if you are ordering a takeaway. Drinks orders are taken immediately when the menus are given out, and assistance is always readily and pleasantly supplied if you need it, when deciding what to order from their plentiful menu. I am generally a Chicken Tikka Masala fan, but I am so sure of the high standards and delicious food here, that I would usually be a lot more adventurous when ordering, I particularly recommend their Punjabi Masala (spicy!) The restaurant is immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, and the service is absolutely second to none - backed up by the many customer service awards at the bar.

This truly authentic Indian restaurant is the brainchild of Head Chef Sanjay and Front of House Manager Pawan. The team have put a lot of effort into this place. It is ideally located and has plenty of car parking and seats 85 people. The ribbon was cut by the landlord and then Sanjha opened for business. There was a Prosecco aperitif on arrival, followed by popadoms and chutneys. Starter for me was a mixed platter of chicken, salmon, shami kebab, aloo tikki and onion bhaji served with spaghetti salad and chutneys (mint and mango). The starters were amazing and set the bar high for the mains. The main course duly arrived and consisted of butter chicken, Rogan josh, saffron rice and nan. The taste was so real it was as if I was sitting in India and eating it!!!! There is an extensive wine and cocktail list- which looked very appealing!! The staff and owners have really got a winner here.....I would thoroughly recommend paying a visit, I know I shall!!

Really is as good as it gets!…read more Family meals here always go down well and we have visited at least twice in the last two months. The selection is amazing and my favourites include the Sizzling Seafood Balti and the Chicken Madras but I'm intent on working my way through the menu. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the servers are extremely polite and helpful. One of our party has special dietary requirements and they couldn't do enough to help us and make sure our needs were catered to. Worth booking at weekends as it does get very busy, especially as it's near the cinema but you'd probably be fine walking in during the week.

There was a very select few to choose from but the winner hands down was Tale Of Spice in Dundonald!! It won hands down on a number of scores. First it has ample free car parking. Second it is owned and run by a fantastic all Indian team from kitchen (Chef Gautam) to Front of House (Abhishek and Sunil). Third the food is as authentic as if one was sitting and eating it in any Northern Indian restaurant. The decour is modern contemporary with a subtle Indian touch. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable and chef himself a real expert. I asked him to make three dishes (two chicken and one lamb). He duly obliged but not before we tucked into fresh crispy popadoms with tasty dips-so many restaurants fall foul of serving oily soggy popadoms- a real turn off! Our three mains came out with two pilau rice, a nan and garlic nan. The butter chicken was creamy and tomatoey with no artificial colouring-and not overtly sweet. The Karahi gosht was divine with the lamb being tender, juicy and succulent. The chicken tikka saag was excellent-all three dishes garnished well with ginger juliennes and parsley and coriander.....just like one gets in Punjab. Alas the portions beat us quantity wise. This really is as authentic North Indian as you will get. A must visit place.

We went for an early dinner and the restaurant want better crowded when we got there. We were seated right away. This was probably the best Indian food I've ever had. We did two meal deals (starter and main course for 17 pounds). For starters we got the Chicken Pakora and Vegetable Samosas. The Chicken Pakora was just ok, but the Samosas were very good. For our main courses we got the Karahi Curry with lamb and the Makhan Tikka which came with chicken. Both were incredibly delicious. I think I preferred the Karahi Curry only because the chicken was a little dry and the lamb was much better, but both sauces were very good. For our sides we got rice and cheesey garlic naan. I highly recommend the cheesey garlic naan -- it was delicious. Our food was a little slow to come out, but our service was good. We had two different servers recommend the dishes we ended up getting as our main course and we were very happy with them. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

The rest of the food was lacking any kind of real spice and was all very bland and most of it came out lukewarm. Didn't seem fresh in any capacity. The cocktails were very nice, though, so that kept us from complaining too much during the meal.
