We're in the mood for Indian cuisine, and decided to try out thus establishment. That was a good decision. The location is kind of obscured in a shopping center, and parking is somewhat limited. However, what they're lacking in outside appearances is more than offset by their excellent dishes. All of their curry dishes are well seasoned and prepared. Each types of curry are uniquely accented by their distinctive spices. Recommending medium heat/spice level, any higher may cause certain discomfort. The staff is friendly and very accommodative. Excellent authentic Indian food. Everything we ordered was great: samosas, mango lassi, lamb korma, aloo gobi, eggplant curry, shrimp masala, coconut beef curry, tikka masala, butter chicken, naan, and more. Don't let the location fool you. The food is amazing! We were greeted with very friendly service. We started with onion Bhaji, basically onions deep fried in a spiced chickpea batter. It comes with a tamarind dip. A great appetizer. Chicken curry and Tandoori Chicken. Wow! amazing stuff. You can get your spiciness rated from 1-10. Five is quite hot. I rarely ever love a place like this! Walking into the small place (there were some very distinctive smells!), there like 15 tables, there was no one there. A woman came out from the kitchen to greet us and we sat. I noticed a woman in the back, grinding up spices for cooking. This to me is a great sign knowing that they really take care to blend spices in such a unique way. Sigh. She gave us a few minutes to figure out what we wanted and answered a few questions we had on the menu. I settled on my standard Chicken Tikka Masala. The BF got Butter Chicken. We split Samosas and Garlic Naan. The GIANT and I mean GIANT bowl of rice was more than enough for us to have our meal, plus take some home and we couldn't fit it in the take out containers. My Chicken Tikka was perfect! Just spicy enough it not too hot. I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed at other places when I say medium hot and it's more mild. The hostess even asked! The Butter Chicken was amazing! My BF hasn't had it before, and he LOVED it. The Naan was so good we ate the whole order and got some to go because we took out leftovers. New Indian restaurant, which was long overdue in Chatham. Prices are reasonable, portions not huge but satisfying, and above all, the food is excellent. It's a very small place and we witnessed prospective diners being turned away because of how busy they were, so reservations are recommended, but they also do take out. Very friendly family/staff; we wish them well and hope they're successful. The lamb masala is excellent, by the way...just make sure you order some of the aromatic basmati rice with it and a piece of butter naan bread... Mmmmm...can't wait to go back! read more

I took my mom here for her 54th birthday on March 17... And we were greeted by two staff, and they had set a table with balloons and decorations! It was cute, and they were friendly. They explained all the dishes meanings and ingredients, made sure no one had allergies, and were promlt with food. It was all delicious. The garlic cauliflower and chicken pakhora as appetizers were excellent. The dishes we ordered (chicken tikki masala, butter chicken, vegetable curry, and sheekah ba chicken) were all perfectly delicious, and the rice was hot and fresh, as was the naan bread. Wow! What a great find. I was in Chatham with my daughter for an appointment and we decided to stop for lunch. Good call. We both like plant-based options and they had a great variety to choose from. We had Garlic Cauliflower appy, Chick pea kofta (a daily special) and the Saag paneer. The sauce on the cauliflower was so sweet & spicy delicious, we had to order some rice just to enjoy more of the sauce. I wish the kofta was a regular menu item because I would order it again and again. My daughter (a talented, Stafford trained chef herself) and I both agreed that the Saag paneer was the very best we have ever had ANYWHERE. We also both agree that it will be well worth the 50 minute trip back to Chatham just to enjoy another meal here. The service was also terrific - homespun, kind and attentive. read more

Strong curry smells when you go in so it will soak I. Your clothes if you eat there food was decent nothing special but wasn't bad either. A little pricey but it might just be because it's in Chatham . Not sure if I would come again but it's not too bad either read more

We stopped at this restaurant off of the highway in our way to Niagara Falls. At first it seemed a little shabby however when the food came we knew we made the right choice. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tikka masala mild combo with rice and naan and I ordered butter chicken medium spicy with the combo also. The chicken is amazingly tender and the sauces had great flavor. I usually eat medium spice at Thai restaurants and this seemed a little spicier than that. I am back here now and will order it mild. Disclaimer: I went here a year ago. I was on a road trip, and we ended up detouring unexpectedly to Chatham in order to desperately escape an ice storm. We were all skeptical of a restaurant this far in the middle of nowhere, but the food really did live up to the reviews. I was rather skeptical about trying this place initially but was very pleasantly surprised with the wonderful food. We had a Gobi Aloo and Vegetable Coconut Curry for the two of us. It was more than filling and a great lunch the next day with the leftovers. If you like Indian food you can't be disappointed. The butter chicken was ok at best, the goat curry had almost no meat with a lot of fat and bone the sauce was more masala, couldn't even taste the curry! Palak paneer was mediocre and the Naan was burnt. Quite pricey as well each item is just short of 20 dollars. If this restaurant was in the GTA it would already be out of business with high prices and poor flavored food. She neither has the passion for the business nor the etiquette towards the customers but my experience has always been terrible dealing with her.
