On a positive note the decor is nicely done, if a little cliched: brown walls and pony-hide upholstery. And the main event--steak, of varying kinds--is flavorful and pleasantly chewy. The service, however, is so amateurish that our meal became excruciating and, finally, hilarious. Everything we ordered was questioned, discussed, and puzzled over to the extent that we wondered if the staff had been hired just hours before. Ordering cheese-and-corn empanadas as an appetizer sounded a lot like the famous "Who's on First" comedy routine. (They weren't really worth it in the end: the dough a bit dry and the filling a bit meh.) And everything we did order required a long wait. At first, I thought it was just me, but eventually I realized the host and waiters were all looking at our table hopefully, as if they expected food to appear there by magic. Our blank-faced waitress was either nowhere to be seen or at the cafe across the street (!), smoking and checking her texts.

They have a column with money tacked to it in denominations from around the world so it could be used "if you didn't have enough to pay your bill" said the waiter. After a starter of bread with seasoned butter for 3.95 (really yummy!), we both ordered the ribeye special for 17.95 euros which consisted of ribeye, salad bar and a jacket potato or French fries. The steak was cooked to perfection. Wine was 3.75 and very drinkable and between the two of us, we had both red and white wines.
