I knew what to ask about, what to look out for and, most importantly, how the staff operates on a day to day basis. I couldn't have been more satisfied with both what I heard, saw and how my mother-in-law was treated. A first time for my wife's family so it was not going to be easy. Steve took care of so many things, worked seamlessly to attend to every large and small detail. Flexible, listens and remembers every bit of your concerns. Excellent communication day or night. Just before Covid regulations took hold I was able to see the home. The facilities at Heavenly was better than photos show. Super clean, crisp and well laid out. If you ever see a typical assisted living place, you will plainly notice how well Heavenly is set up. Plenty of space, large rooms, great light and ventilation. The place and personnel is a place for a person to recover and thrive. Do I recommend, absolutely. If your task is to call places and figure out a solution for your elderly parent, call Heavenly and ask all your questions - be direct and you'll get honest direct answers to help you navigate through this process.

During the entire year that Right Choice provided services, not a single supervisor ever came to home to observe caregivers, ensure they were providing appropriate care, or coordinate with his Personal Assistance (PA) and Independent Living Skills (ILS) providers. Not once. Because there was virtually no supervision, we made attempts to operationalize a routine for my brother with the caregivers. A checklist of things that should be done to create structure and routine. Communication from RC was none existent. Calls were not returned, although Leslie was responsive and did her best to help. Right Choice failed to provide the supervision, accountability, and quality of care expected. Regional Center came to rescue and got us an another vendor. Our mistake as newbies is ask questions before entering agreement for piece of mind.

The physical therapy team is truly top-notch. They were patient, encouraging, and tailored a program that dramatically improved her mobility. The nurses and CNAs are equally wonderful--they were compassionate, responsive to her needs, and treated her with great dignity. The only major drawback during her stay was the quality of the meals. The food was often unappetizing, bland, cold to bad. While the medical care was five-star, the dining experience could use significant improvement. Overall, I highly recommend Sherman Oaks Rehab for its excellent rehabilitation services and dedicated staff. If you have a loved one staying here, I highly recommend bringing in outside food or snacks to supplement the meals.

This facility has 1 star out of a possible 5 stars on medicare.gov which is a "much below average"…read morequality rating by Medicare standards. It is owned by Longwood Management, a corporation with 38 rehabs in California. Of those 38, 13 have 1 star Medicare ratings and another 12 have 2 stars. 66% of their facilities are rated by Medicare as substandard, due primarily to serious health department violations. Longwood Management operates this way intentionally. Poor care improves their profit margins. When the health department heat becomes too much at one facility, they move dangerous staff to another of their properties. That's happening now at this facility. Patients and their families - beware. And add the California Department of Public Health to your contacts, because you'll be opening investigations into this place frequently. Know that the allegations against Longwood are most often substantiated, thus the 1 star rating with Medicare.

Well, if you knew my dad, you would be smiling and very happy for him. Daddy is old school... you know the type, "what the hell are all these people doing here? I don't need no help. I'm just fine." "You all get the hell outta here!" Unfortunately, dad did need the help as he was no longer safe "taking care of himself" It was WWIII getting him to allow anyone from Roze Room of the Valley to get within 10 feet of him, until he met Carmen, our HHA. What an amazing human being. She was the Angel that could talk dad into most care that he needed when nobody else could. Her patience, laughter, ability to listen and hear what his needs and desires were was intrinsic, so natural. We can't begin to thank all the people from RR involved in Dad's care; from the Nurse Manager, the doctors, nurses, social workers, continuous care team, after-hours care team, the DME driver who provided Dad's equipment and educated him until he actually understood how to use something, the chaplain, secretaries dealing with numerous calls from me so professionally and patiently, and all the team that helped Dad's last days at home with us to be the best days they could possibly be given the situation. Speaking of situations, there were a few things I was not happy about, so I would call the manager and we would discuss and resolve these matters expeditiously. I learned very quickly, it takes a team effort to care for our dying loved ones...and our family became part of our hospice care team. Everyone knows that nobody is perfect, right? However, I can honestly say that Roze Room came pretty darn close. If you are looking for a Hospice Company to care for your loved one, my family and I highly recommend teaming up with Roze Room Hospice of the Valley.

The nurses didn't provide any guidelines in terms of what to expect, look out for or anything along those lines. My mom ended up passing away the day we started hospice. From the very beginning, we have felt completely cared for, reassured, and in excellent hands. She is incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and thorough, and it is so clear that she genuinely cares about her patients and their families. She also gave me some of the most helpful advice I received while nursing. After hearing so much conflicting guidance elsewhere, her recommendations were practical, reassuring, and ultimately helped me more than anything else. As a parent, there is such a sense of peace in knowing that your baby has someone knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly invested in their well-being in their corner. I'm so grateful that our son will get to grow up under Dr. Mouradian's care. What better peace of mind could a parent ask for than knowing their baby has such a strong advocate looking out for them? Dr. Esmond is our main doctor and she has been so kind and friendly to all of our children and honest and informative to my wife and myself. We even had a difficult birth experience and when she found out about it, she came after hours and on a day off to the hospital to check on both my wife and our newborn. It's that type of service that really makes you know that your family is in great hands. Even when we cannot see Dr. Esmond due to a last minute appointment or whatever, both Dr. Pollock and Dr. Rubin have given us the same level of excellent care and service. Everyone who works in this office from the reception desk to the nurses to the doctors are absolutely the best. I can't say enough great things about them. If you are looking for a pediatrician, for whatever reason, there is no need to look any further than Pediatric Care Physicians.
