I have issues with my lower back and knee from some old issues from being in the military…read more I used this studio while I was traveling and instead of doing the weights portion, I wanted to do the strider and the rower. I advised the coach, Jenna, that I would be doing that. I've never had an issue with this at literally any other studio. She said I couldn't and that it wasn't part of the program. I tried explaining it was due to physical limitations but she kept trying to pressure me into doing the weight portion and forbid me doing full cardio even though there were plenty of open treads and strikers. Horrible customer service as trying to force people to do things they're not comfortable with can lead to injuries.

Joining F45 was the best thing I've ever done. Believe me, I was scared to death and asked Justin,…read morethe membership manager, a million questions and even went to see the gym before I joined. I went in with the mentality that I would just go ask questions and maybe join later on. He made me confident that even though I was incredibly out of shape that I could do the workouts. I walked out a foundation member and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I started off a few weeks ago, scared that I wouldn't make it through the workout. I did Hollywood which is the Saturday workout first. It is a 60 minute intense workout. Yes, I was sore, but I was so proud of myself making it through the workout that I didn't care. As I kept going, the pain or soreness that I experienced from working out has subsided and I can feel myself getting stronger. I used to just go to the gym and do a quick workout and leave. I tried to follow workout plans and would just get bored or give up. With the help of the trainers, I'm going things I would have never expected that I could do. The gym is small, it's meant for a class at a time and is set up depending on the workout. You'd be surprised how much can be packed into the gym in a class. Each workout is different and geared towards a theme. I suggest just going to a class before you judge it based on the name of it. A great example of this would be Foxtrot. It is military based and that worried me that I couldn't complete it. In fact, originally that was the only class I didn't book. As I said, I was out of shape and didn't think I would make it through but I did. There are modifications for various exercises and levels of training. You also can use a Lionheart heart rate monitor that connects to the screens in the back of the classes and tells you the percentage of your maximum heart rate you are using. You get a report at the end of the class that shows your points during the class that you achieved based on your heart rate and calories burned. It also shows a trend line for your workout. This is so helpful and makes me push a little harder when I know I have dropped my heart rate some. The staff is great. Nathan and his wife are super sweet and really seem to care about you as an individual. Justin is encouraging and always there to give you a high five. Chase and Kaitlyn have helped me to bring my fitness level to a level that I now feel more confident doing the exercises. I wouldn't push myself without them. Hannah is also very nice. I haven't been to her class yet but she was present in one of the Hollywood sessions I attended and was helpful. The members are encouraging and it already feels like family. My suggestion, give it a shot. You might just surprise yourself like I did!

Made Possible Personal Training is hands-down the best training experience I've had. It's truly…read morepersonalized programming, highly knowledgeable coaches, a supportive/family-like atmosphere, and real results--especially if you're looking for strength, mobility, and joint-friendly fitness (not bodybuilding). Before Made Possible, I tried personal training at a big-box gym and it was a total disappointment--generic workouts on the same machines I was already using, with someone basically just counting reps. It felt impersonal and more focused on selling sessions than actually coaching. At 66, I'm not looking bigger "guns" or a "six-pack." I wanted a personalized program from experienced, educated coaches who understand physiology and can help me get stronger, fitter, and more flexible, paying attention to joint issues and weak points. If you look at their team, many have backgrounds in applied physiology, kinesiology, graduates of National Academy of Sports Medicine with focus on Corrective Exercises, and other related specialties. You can tell they know what they're doing. The atmosphere is warm, caring, and genuinely personal--completely the opposite of the big-box gym experience. After every workout, my trainer(s) texts me the next day to check how I'm feeling. Every trainer knows me by name, people talk to each other, no one is on their headphones or staring at their phones but focusing on their programs. The programming is truly individualized. In my first two sessions, they asked about my goals, evaluated how I move and what needs attention first, then built a plan around that. You can see others doing very advanced, athletic programs, while mine is focused on fundamentals--strengthening the right muscles, improving stability, and fixing weaknesses. The emphasis (at least for me) is always on form and the smaller supporting muscles. It is not about bodybuilding but becoming more fit, more flexible and "properly" stronger. One moment that sold me: I could never do a squat, bad knees from Pickleball and old age. On day one, they had me place my feet and knees differently: push here, lower this, move that... and lo and behold, on day one I did 30 squats. That was it for me. I was hooked. That's when I realized how much proper coaching matters. Lastly, I feel like I'm getting real "value" for the money. The price is fair for the level of coaching and attention you get, and it doesn't feel like a hustle. I highly recommend Made Possible Personal Training.
