WHEREVER YOU ARE DR. FIG - Forget the paid reviews. Here's…read morethe truth about Dr. Figlesthaler. Dr. Fig is controlling, sharp, bullying, never nice, barely cordial. And no social skills whatsoever. Having been diagnosed with prostate cancer, he scared me into treatment that could be completed in other ways. I am now maimed forever. He lied to me and bullied me into doing it his way, or the highway, literally. When I questioned him about the anti-androgen injection, he literally said to me, "If you do not want to do this just leave." An ultimatum. From a doctor I trusted. When I was SO totally vulnerable, instead of support, he bullied me. He used my vulnerability as a weakness to force treatment on me. While I cannot change what has happened - 18 months of hell - I can warn others. Even if he is your current urologist, BEWARE. Find someone who actually cares if you get well. Not a mechanic who knows he's always right. You've heard about some doctors bullying people into treatment. He is the classic case. It has taken 2 years to write this because I have been far too angry to put it down on paper. So BEWARE. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing and he's out to get those who question him. Believe me, I know everyone wants to trust their doctor. I do as well. But when he/she holds life and death decisions in his hands without caring whether you get well or not, and only if you do it HIS way, think again. That is the kind of doctor he is. You can do better.

Since I moved to Florida 4 years ago, I have been Dr Amanda Schultz's patient and she has been…read morewonderful. I would always recommend her. Today, I had an appointment for my daughter for a well visit and birth control. We got two text messages confirming the appointment at 2:30 PM and both times replied yes to it. When we showed up, it was 2:40 PM, since my daughter's school did not let out in time. We were told that the appointment was at 2 PM and the doctor can't see her any more. After showing them the text messages from the office with the 2:30 PM times, they told us, that we should have been here 30 minutes before the appointment time... ???? They told us that they make it a priority to tell new patients that on the phone. Well, we were not made aware of that and I was not a new patient myself, so maybe the lady on the phone got that confused. The presumed office manager got up and went to talk to us telling us it is now 2:40 PM and Dr. Amanda does not have any time to see us today. I explained that I took off from work, got my little girl out of school early just to get to the appointment for my oldest daughter. The office manager said that another doctor might be able to see her. We were fine with that. I filled out the paperwork for my daughter and was called back in to speak to the office manager. Now she told me in a rude tone that this visit would not be covered by my insurance, because it was considered a sick visit not a well woman visit and she is not 18 yet. It would only be covered, if she was sexually active. It would be $300. Now, I asked her, if she really recommends me to reschedule a well visit after she is sexually active to get on birth control. That does not make a lot of sense to me. She went in the back to talk to a nurse and came back and said that now they can do the well visit and it would be covered 100% by my insurance. However, the birth control discussion would be an extra charge.... ???? Not as much as the original $300, but still a charge. I asked her to explain that as I was never charged extra during my well visit 4 years ago when I first got birth control prescribed. At this point, I knew the office manager just tried to charge me for something and I told her that her behavior was very rude. I will never come back to this office again with an office staff that treats their customers with such disrespect and clearly takes it in their own hands to come up with different charges. What is it now? $300? less? or 100% covered? We walked out and went right across the hall to another gynecologist office, where we were treated very respectfully from the entire staff.

Small incisions, great communication, quick, no bull problem solving skills. I own a bike shop, had to go back to work and I felt like I was his sister and he was getting me on with my life FAST. Great job Dr. Guata and I appreciate the fibroid removal surgery that you did for me.
