Nothing but good things to say about these guys…read more I bought my car only a few months ago and from the time I bought it the brakes were wonky. Recently they began squealing so I did a LOT of research on car mechanics to take my car to and decided on this place. Initially they called me up and said they didn't think there was anything wrong and so they wouldn't charge me. I appreciated their honesty. Then they called and said they figured it out and would charge me $600- slightly what I was expecting to pay, but fine nonetheless. Anyways, when I got to the place they had not only fixed my brakes but my engine as well AND they washed my car, too. They also charged me $100 less than what they quoted over the phone. I have nothing but good things to say about this car mechanic and would trust them if I ever needed my car to be serviced.

Brought my truck to Willowwood Service Center for a state inspection and specifically told them…read morethere was a loud metal-on-metal clanking sound coming from the rear whenever I went over bumps. I wasn't vague about it -- I clearly explained the issue and expected at least a basic attempt to identify it. The truck passed inspection, I was charged (including an extra fee for using a debit card), and I was told they couldn't find the noise. After moving out of state and getting the truck inspected again, the problem was identified almost immediately: a bad sway bar bushing causing the rear suspension to rattle around. Obvious enough that another shop spotted it right away. So I'm left wondering: how does a shop performing a state inspection miss a suspension issue I specifically pointed out, involving a loud metal-on-metal clank, and then charge extra on top of it? If you bring your vehicle here with an actual problem, you may want a second opinion.

Our recent experience was fantastic. One thing I've learned over the years is that the cleanliness…read moreof a mechanics shop can tell you a lot about how you're experience might go. While the office is dated, it was clean and nostalgic. More importantly, the service bay was kept in pristine condition. I stopped by to explain our issues with our suburban prior to bringing it to the shop, and Lee was very helpful in explaining what he thought the problems were and what the potential repairs might include. I scheduled to drop the car off two days later. When I dropped the vehicle off, Lee once again met with me to review the issues and explained his plan of diagnosis and repair. I left confident it was in the right hands. Later that day Lee called me to explain what they found and what work had been done. He reviewed specific items, explained their negative impacts on the vehicles performance as well as indicated what we should expect once we were behind the wheel again. He indicated that there were a few other items that needed to be addressed, and reviewed cost estimates for those as well as let me know where we stood cost-wise at that point in time. I informed him I didn't need it back that day, and gave him the go ahead on one of the other repairs. Mid Morning the following day he called to say it was ready. Upon arrival at the shop he again met with me to review the work. He took me to his computer to discuss the codes, which ones were addressed and what might be causing the others. The bill was itemized with labor separated, and in my opinion was very fair for the work and time involved. I won't hesitate to return when I need servicing, and I will most certainly recommend their shop to others.

Jon initially provided a quote that was actually much higher than the dealer's price. Do not trust him. When I pointed this out, the estimate was revised, but it ended up being only about $500 less than the dealer's quote. I lost my trust to work with them as a company. Considering I had already paid $500 for diagnostics, the overall savings were minimal. If you're looking for a significantly more affordable alternative to the dealership, this was not my experience. I would recommend getting quotes from other independent shops NOT here!
