If you are looking to make big grocery store trips to get a big bunch of food or supplies for the week, you probably are going to head to the Lowes Foods right back over the bridge or the Food Lions near Sunset Beach or Shallotte. But for quick things, a few food items or convenience store things, beer, etc. then Sheffield's fits the bill. A huge walk in beer cooler, always nice especially when it is so hot outside! There is a small seafood shop in the back as well. Quick ice stop here is probably the main reason we see it so much. Very nice people working, great location, and handy items make Sheffield's one place you will probably visit many times if you make it out to OIB anytime for a vacation.

A simple RX a glucose meter and the supplies to go with it. We called them and they said your insurance don't cover a meter. The Dr sent in an RX for a generic meter and supplies meaning whatever the one our Insurance will cover and they didn't even run it through insurance writhing 30 seconds said nope but we can sell you one for $180 over the counter. All Insurances cover glucose meters!! I know this as I have YEARS of Pharmacy and medical experience. Anyways, called the Dr she was upset she called the Pharmacy herself spoke to the Pharmacist and the Pharmacist said they will cover this and not that and ok so was told this will be ready today no problem. No apologies what so ever for the situation. Went to the Pharmacy HOIRS layer like 6 hours later said ok it will be ready by now get there and guess what here we go again nothing is ready nobody knows anything complete shit show!!! This is 4 days later after an hour in the store watching them hand the wrong prescriptions to the wrong people and people getting upset and then running around getting nothing done and handing people stuff from over the counter because they don't have time to fill it!!! They did not have e anything ready in fact they didn't even have it in stock after they assured my Dr it will be ready today. So they said we can order it and have it tomorrow. Ok we are upset as it should t take a Pharmacy 5 days to fill a SIMPLE RX asked hey does another cvs have it? I'll go there someone starts scanning the shelves to see what's in stock and where and guess what the meter they say is the only one our insurance will cover they DONT EVEN MAKE IT ANYMORE!!! So tomorrow we are back to square one have to call the Dr again and this time we are having it sent to anywhere but a CVS... we even called corporate asked for a call back from the district manager because this is beyond incompetent!! And you are now jeopardizing the health of a pregnant woman and her baby!! This is no light matter and no one gave a shit on this store we ended up walking out after an hour!!! And corporate said the district manager doesn't call anyone back ... wait what your kidding me right well that explains a lot no one gives a shit!!! And it shows!!! The Pharmacy may be getting a visit soon from the board of Pharmacy y as they made several errors while I was there and it's really upsetting to the point I can honestly say they should t be operating at this point!!!!
