Today, I decided to walk all the way to Thorton's because of a memory of college days where I…read moredecided to buy a slushie. I was able to find the slushie fine with three size options in see through plastic cups. After pouring it, I proceed to the register where I asked the clerk if mine was the biggest size. She stated that I could have used ANY cup (even the ones used for soft drinks). THEN WHY DOES IT ONLY HAVE THREE CUP SIZE RIGHT UNDER THE SLUSHIE AREA?! That is soooooo misleading. Please put a sign that states that one can use the beverage cups as additional sizes to buy the slushies. I could have used a BIG GULP size slushie if it was allowed. It is hot and humid in KY and slushie machines are the only way to survive the heat.

In a judgey voice and we told him it was a choice. Then this other guy walked out and said "so are you gonna pay for those drinks? You know we have cameras right?" And we pay for our snacks after telling them we didn't steal the drinks and they said "well we believe you" and we go out get my friends mom she goes in there and they hadn't checked the cameras beforehand and said " we checked the cameras were so sorry" like I get it kids our age can be idiots but at least check the cameras first? And the only reason it's two stars is cause those Cheetos and the redbull was good. But yeah the workers should probably check the cameras before accusing children. While of course I get the fact some cannot be caught if they check the cameras beforehand. I don't much appreciate me or my friend being accused of something so frowned upon after being taught Christian views my entire life.

The cashier was counting cigarette packs and I stood there about 3 minutes waiting on him to finish. It was $7.99 for the tiny bottle of Nyquil, but I needed it so I got it anyway. The cashier rang it up at almost $11. I said that was wrong, the price said $7.99. He mumbled something I couldn't understand and just looked at me. I motioned to walk back to the aisle with me, and he did, and I showed him the price. He mumbled some more. I told him to just give me the right price and I'd be good. We went back to the register--I expected him to credit me a couple of bucks. He reached me back my $10 and took the Nyquil and walked away. I stood there a minute, then motioned to the Nyquil. He mumbled something else that was obviously negative, something about "you wanted a refund." I said no, I just wanted a credit of a couple of bucks to get the advertised price. He said whatever it rings up to IS the price. I left and bought a bigger bottle of Nyquil at the Thorton's for less money, and had a much nicer cashier. It's not the buck or two... it's the attitude that drove me away. If your employees aren't empowered to make purchases right, you must not trust them very much, and if you don't trust them, you shouldn't have them working for you.
