Cornerstone of downtown area and very popular!

They forgot the whipped cream so I told them and they were so appoloigetic, which they really don't need to be. I understand that they can mess up some times and I really don't care because I have all the time in the world. An extra 1-2 minutes really does not matter. It is always calm and vibey and just has such a good aroma. Even If you don't order anything there, It is an amazing place to study for people with adhd who can't focus when there's too much or too little going on. When I had gotten my order everything tasted so good. Literally perfect, nothing I would change about it. That is just my opinion though. I recommend the Better than Sex cake. It was nice and chocolatey and had nice crunchy toppings. Overall, great place.

What a cute local bakery with several options…read more Muffins, cookies, pies, cake, and the quintessential Ohio buckeye and an Oreo buckeye. We were quickly served at the counter, but if you choose to eat in, they have a quaint menu for breakfast and lunch, with the kids' menu included. A dozen cookies for $20 or two dollars a cookie. The cookies were 2 to 3 times the normal-sized cookies you get at other locations. There is a wide selection of coffee flavors as well.

I live about 30 minutes from the bakery and placed a to-go order. While I was picking up my order, I grabbed some chocolate chip cookies, a snickerdoodle and an oatmeal one as well as a piece(?) of carrot cake- I question it being a piece because it was HUGE, and for such a small amount of money! Let me tell you- my food, even after a 30 minute car ride + time getting my son situated once we got home, was DELICIOUS! My order was the avocado toast and if scrambled eggs and avocado still taste great after that much time- you KNOW that's saying something. The pretzel bread, oh my word, wasn't soggy, was firm, was DELICIOUS. The fried pancake bites- wow, it was like fair food meets breakfast and not much can top that combination. My 3 year old son even tried them and then asked for more- again, parents of picky eaters will know, that's saying A LOT! My husband had the biscuits and gravy, he said it was delicious! I'll note what I appreciated about that is being a to-go order, they packaged the gravy up in a plastic container so it wouldn't get the biscuits soggy- I always appreciate a place that takes the extra time to accommodate orders. Now, the pièce de résistance, the cinnamon rolls. Being full from all the food I gobbled up, I had to save these GIANT cinnamon rolls for the next day and the next day- without a doubt, the BEST cinnamon rolls I have ever had! Hands down. 30 seconds in the microwave and oh my gosh, insanely delicious. The cookies were also SO good!! My husband said it was the best snickerdoodle cookie he's ever had, I can't confirm because he didn't share with me, which might actually just confirm it was- normally he would give me a bite. The oatmeal cookie I had was SO stinking good- the best I've ever had too! Carrot cake was delicious as well! This was my first time here- placing a take out order was effortless and easy even when you could clearly hear that the place was super busy- as it should be! I can't wait to come back and especially can't wait to have more of their cinnamon rolls. *drool*

Aww shucks. I love…read moreMain Street in Downtown Greenville and their wide assortment of shops ranging from a coffee shop and shoe store to cafes like Montage and trendy boutiques like Sadie Grace. You could easily spend an afternoon weaving your way through these local businesses. Unfortunately, the Saturday morning market is on the lackluster side. Open from 9am-1pm, you'll find around 8-10 vendors selling honey, wool socks, a little bit of produce and a few Amish baked items like egg noodles. I wish there were more food/produce vendors to offer the variety one would need to conquer some serious weekly shopping at the market. I also wonder if it would help if the location were moved to a grass patch or something that allows shoppers to mingle and not feel pushed along with the sidewalk flow. However, there are not too many shoppers and it's hard to say which comes first A.) wide variety of vendors followed by more shoppers (if you build it they will come); or B.) is the biggest challenge having too small of a consumer base/vested interest from a large share of the population? I grew up in Union City, Indiana, so I know how these things can be tricky to launch and build. I'm a market junkie (for realizes, I attended the Project for Public Spaces conference on markets in NYC because I'm so passionate about food halls and farmers markets as community building resources). I think there's great potential here and if the community is able to support that many shops on Main Street surely they can do the same with a farmers market. I ended up going home zucchini, and a bunch of tomatoes, egg noodles, and fresh garlic. I'll be back in hopes that this market grows and diversifies with community support.

Tried the regular Mac & Cheese and the the one that normally came with bbq pulled pork, but they swapped it out for chicken for me. So here is my qualms with this place. 1. It advertises itself as "Midwestern Comfort Food". No, the menu the day we went was COMPLETELY Southern style food and not Midwestern at all. So why label yourself as a certain type of food & it be pretty far from the truth. Grits, Pork, Pimento Cheese. All super southern. Not that we don't enjoy these things in the Midwest, it's just these are notoriously known for being southern. 2. Everything on this menu, minus like one thing was PORK. They had this giant sized list of a menu, and literally everything was pork. Not everyone eats pork. A lot of people don't for religious reasons and personal reasons. I don't eat pork, nor does my husband or daughter. My other family members aren't crazy about it. So we just stood and stared at the menu and debated for awhile & then all of us just got Mac & Cheese. 3. When I saw they had a item with shredded chicken, I asked the women if she could swap the BBQ Pulled Pork out for the pulled chicken. She kindly did so. However, as my husband even pointed out. She kept making it a point that they don't normally do that, and basically was doing me a BIG favor. Is how she was acting about it. Yikes. This place isn't my cup a tea. Which is sad because the Mac & cheese is truly great. But when that's the only thing you can get off the menu, a small cup of it. Doesn't make a meal. We all left still hungry. That's not what you want from a place you drove a hour to try. I'm sure everything else on their menu is great if you're into pork. Go for it. You'll probably love it. But this is going to be a pass for me in the future.
